I wish I wasn't. I've been pursuing and dating guys who are closer to my age, because I know I ultimately want something serious and stable, but if they don't work out, I end up hooking up with my FWB "Jack" again or even if the new relationships seemingly does go well, I always have this thought in the back of my head "if Jack ever wanted to be serious with me, I would be with him in a heartbeat."
I'll do the hobby that he helped introduce me to and I'll think of him and hope he's proud of me. I'll see something on the shelves of a store, or walk past a restaurant, and think he'll like it. I have a playlist full of songs that remind me of him, which I used to listen to over and over again with a passion I can't muster for anyone else.
I'm dating "Mark" (M27) now and the relationship seems like it's working out and headed in a serious direction. It isn't the emotional rollercoaster that Jack was, but slow and steady like it's supposed to be. But I sometimes get these occasional pangs - like recently noticing Mark's human flaws as I get to know him better - and I almost want to reach out to Jack.
I'm not in regular contact with Jack, for the record. I told him about my new relationship and we've both respected that - we're not texting anymore. But we still follow each other on social media and we're in the same social circles with a lot of friends in common.
To be honest, my previous relationship with somebody else "Louis" (M29) - partly detoriated because I couldn't bring myself to cut contact with Jack. There wasn't anything physical but it was walking a very fine line.
I'm trying to be better. To want things that are healthy and sustainable for me. Mark and I are a decent match (he and Jack are "my type" - they have certain traits that attract me, which Louis lacked).
But I still get these thoughts. Any advice how to get the hell over myself? I want so badly to give Mark a fair chance and to be fair to him.

2025.01.24 19:36 Logical_Proof_6720 3.7 update broke the car
Hi all, just bought a 2021 ID3 pro performance family. Since having the car it kept telling me an update was available and finally got round to it last week (3.7) Once done the car immediately threw up 4 faults. One was a drive system error telling me to go to workshop but this has now cleared. The other 3 are safety system warnings, interior and front assist etc. none are now functional and I have no cruise control etc. Thought it maybe a bug and clear but it hasn’t. Any ideas if it’s a software glitch or whether the software update may have busted the sensors etc??

My tablet will not turn on no matter what I do help!! Ive tried both the 3 in 1 adapter and the other adapters that the tablet comes with, ive googled everything and nothing is working. My computer says the tablet is connected but the screen/power button will not turn on! ive also checked my display settings for my computer and everything is fine. Ive used this tablet a couple times and ive had no issues except for now. Any and all help is much appreciated!!

Hi everyone,
I’ve been dealing with tinnitus primarily in my left ear for the past three weeks, and just recently, I’ve started noticing it faintly in my right ear as well. Yesterday, I was in an Uber, and the driver was speaking extremely loudly on the phone for about 6–7 minutes before I asked him to lower his voice. My phone’s decibel meter app recorded the noise at around 82 dB. (I was in the back seat, he was driving)
Since then, the ringing in my right ear seems to have worsened, and I’m worried if this brief exposure might have caused any damage. For context, I’m already on steroids prescribed by my doctor for the tinnitus, but this incident has made me more concerned.
Have any of you experienced tinnitus worsening after brief noise exposure like this? Could this have caused additional harm, or is it more likely just a temporary spike? Any advice or tips to help manage this would be greatly appreciated.

I don't really get the obsession of having caves, dungeons, and "temples" in every single RPG. Are there any that don't have them. I don't mind RPGs when they are in towns, cities, underwater, mountains, the moon, other planets, labs, etc. But then they always ask you to grind in caves/dungeons for hours on end vs bears, spiders, and other animals. Meanwhile it is dark and you can't see anything. Any RPGs without caves/dungeons/"temples" (that are like dungeons).

I started in 2013, I thought it would change my life and I'd reinvent myself and be a new person and finally make friends and talk to people
What I actually did was I cowered in my room for 4 entire years, skipped most of the classes, went to a few society meetings which I immediately dropped because no one seemed to like me.
I made 0 friends, I literally don't even think I had a full conversation with anyone the entire time I was there apart from a counsellor. Talked to 0 girls.
I think I can remember the name of one person in my dorm who introduced himself to me but I'm not sure because its a pretty generic name.
This still haunts me a decade later. Don't let depression and self hatred ruin your life.
