2025.01.24 20:24 SpiicySazon I hate the indefinite re-enlistment policy.
The way it is written and the way retention NCOs make it seem, it sounds like it is to take a burden off the Soldiers back, but it doesn’t feel like that.
I am at 10 years in right now, re-enlisting indefinitely sounds exhausting.
If they would just let me do 4 years instead, I would still probably end up doing 20 in the end but 4 sounds a lot better than 10. Don’t even give me a bonus, instead, take away bonuses after 10 years I don’t care. I know they got the continuation pay but even then man idk. Why is this the hardest decision ever.

Took out the Putnik for the first time today. Only had about 150 rounds of x39 left, but my first impression is really good. I’ve made no adjustments to the gas system and the recoil impulse is very pleasant. My only grievance is having to tighten it down every couple of mags, but hopefully they can resolve that with the new adapter they’re supposedly gonna release.

I was being clumsy not paying attention and two AA batteries fell down my bathroom sink drain. I tried to unscrew the U shaped thing (it’s plastic) but couldn’t get it. I put in a maintenance request to my landlord but I’m panicking a bit because I know that batteries are dangerous. I've set up my Syncthing chain on my PC, Unihertz Titan (Android 11) and a Boox Note (Android 12). However, on both my phone and the tablet, Syncthing doesn't work in the background (I turned off battery optimization for both, and enabled the notification setting), so every f*cking time I need to sync my files I need to open the app. That seems very unproductive, is there a way to fix this?

Hi! I have five pieces of hand-painted Asian calligraphy that were written by my husband's grandfather, who passed away last year. My husband doesn’t know the language, but I’d love to surprise him by translating these pieces. I’m not sure if the language is Hokkien, Cantonese, or another dialect. I know he used to live in Malaysia, but he was a Chinese immigrant.

Okay, so I just found this weird unfinished version of Interview on old.homestarrunner.com. The first difference is that Strong Bad is using his older design where he doesn't have the glint in his eye. (Check out an older cartoon like Some Stupid Turkey to see that design) Secondly, the windows is more tinted compared to the one now. Thirdly, some of the lip sync is unfinished cuz.. duh it's unfinished. Fourthlee, some phrases are different such as "en guarde" being missing and "thank you for your time" is used opposed to as "GET OUTTA MY FACE" Finally, the cartoon just repeats itself instead of "end." I don't think i've seen anybody talk about this so there ya go if you wanna have more random knowledge pumped into your bubblegum brain o' there.
