2025.01.24 20:40 HeyZeGaez I don't understand Assassins Creed 3
I haven't finished yet but am on sequence 8 but so far
this game is bad. I have never been so bored in my life.
I don't care about any of the Templar targets. Aside from just barely Thomas Hickey and Charles Lee himself. Hickey cause he was annoying in the prologue and Charles Lee because he's the only one Connor actually has motivation or desire to kill
And Connor is forcibly and lazily shoe-horned in to every single major event in the American Revolution despite neither I the player nor Connor the character wanting to help the revolutionaries.
It just feels like both Connor and I are being blatantly used to achieve exclusively their goals for no reward.
There's practically NO side quests. The world is empty and boring. And the writing is god awful. Things just happen and people just say things because the plot has to happen. Yes, I know that's "how stories work" but I mean they seemingly have no motivation or defined character.
This was the game I was most excited for and now I honestly don't even want to play anymore.
Also glad to see 3 started the trend of ripping you out of the Animus to do basically nothing for 20 minutes before saying "Hey you should get back in the animus." Thanks. I could have just stayed there.
Don't get me wrong. I love Connor, he's been one of my favorite protagonists so far but he's so horribly fit in this story. He should not have been front and center meeting every American historical figure every 2 seconds.
The Assassin's are presumably dead in America Connor should have been operating totally in the shadow of the revolutionaries, uninvolved but present. He also should have been given more motivation to actually kill the Templars. Yes they wanted his land and killed his mom but he never seems particularly upset by that. He expressed more desire to murder Charles Lee when he beat him up in the woods as a kid than the entire rest of the game.
Also the weirdly unexplained qualms Connor has with killing his father whom he never met and never knew Connor existed, who was presumably at least by extension responsible for his mother's murder.
There should have been and hopefully there maybe still is a point where Connor splits off from the revolutionaries and refuses to work with them because they've just been using him.
Like Connor doing the Boston tea party was okay and at minimum made sense
When they had Connor be part of Paul Revere's midnight ride my immediate reaction was "This is stupid and sucks"

2025.01.24 20:40 13WITTLE13 My pc keeps frezing
Whenever I'm on fortnite and press windows either instantly or a few seconds later everything freezes, my USB ports stop working and the only way to fix it is to hold down the power button on my pc case and then turn it back on. It only happens if in on fortnite but no other games or apps. Also my pin said it doesn't work anymore and needs to be reset but one I click the button to reset it nothing happens.

I just wanted to send a big thank you out into the universe today, specifically to my Finch community. This app has been unspeakably helpful while being so simple and easy to use. I don't have any real life friends that use the app so my tree town is full of internet friends like you, and I want to thank you all for the constant love and support. The good vibes are such a simple and easy thing and usually I am in higher spirits so I share good vibes with my tree town to spread that warmth in hopes it helps them. Today I was on the other side of it. Sometimes it may seem overwhelming seeing a lot of good vibes notifications, but today I accepted each and every one of them and let them wash over me. My dad is hospitalized right now and he is my whole world so I am struggling more than usual and this little bit of love and encouragement is helping me through my day. That's all. This probably isnt the best tag for this but its close enough ( seeing other people problems here does make me feel a little stupid for what im going through)
This is not something i ever thought i would have to talk about but here i am, if you dont want an existencial crisis then you can just ignore it
So i know that im not even a part of this community but i dont know where to look anymore
Im 20 and thoughts about death have basically ruined my days to a point where im just unhealthy , this Idea of nothingness keeps showing up in my head and i cant escape it, almost everything has lost meaning , i cant enjoy the things i always enjoyed , i can barely look in the faces of other people thinking about how one day none of them will be here, i cant enjoy movies anymore, i have been struggling to eat since everything i eat i feel like vomiting , i already had a breakdown with basically crying and screaming with my mom and dad
Its been truly terrible days and i feel like i have ruined my life going foward in a way, im also not religious but i dont fully discard the possibilities
So basically i just want to enjoy things but with everything feeling so pointless i dont think i'll be able to , this sad state is also really hurting my parents so its just making it worse for me
If this kind of question isnt allowed here then i'll try to find a different sub
Also yes i researched about this pretty much every hour of this past week and no , things like " just accept it " or " embrace it" have made it worse for me

Need help Making a dynamic lookup and nested or nested reference formula , but is it possible to create a fully dynamic formula that returns an array from a different sheet, offset by two columns to the right of the lookup value on Sheet1? The lookup value on Sheet1 corresponds to a fixed row on Sheet2, and the number of rows returned would depend on the count of values in the column that is offset by two columns (plus one extra row).
For example:
In Sheet1, the lookup value will always appear in column B, and the values in that column will be numbers. For instance, cell B10 will have the number 1. The lookup array is always located in row 5 of Sheet2 and is evenly spaced. I want the return value to be two columns to the right of the cell in row 5 of Sheet2 that matches the lookup value from Sheet1. The number of rows to return will depend on how many non-empty cells exist in that column (plus one additional row).
To clarify: Looking up cell B10 (which contains the value 1), I want to match it to the corresponding cell in row 5 of Sheet2 (e.g., B5). Then, I want to return values starting two columns to the right of B5, and the range of rows should be based on the number of non-empty cells in that column, plus one extra row.
The challenge is to make the columns in Sheet2 dynamic because directly referencing a column (e.g., D:D) would make the formula non-dynamic.
