2025.01.24 20:30 Ok-Feature-9526 Hey guys I need your help
As it says in the title I need some help see I played fallout new Vegas before on my apple computer where i installed windows to actually play the game and I had a blast I even modded it but after a while I got bored and stop playing and uninstalled it well a few years later I’m wanting to replay it so I uninstalled all my old mods i didn’t want but now the game moves at slow frame rates and the screen movement is laggy even my mouse moves slow and no one has hair I’ve tried everything installing mods, messing with the .ini files, updating my windows, having the game in window mode but nothing works! I would really appreciate it if someone helped.

2025.01.24 20:30 RevolutionaryPlace19 iPad Pro M1 11" not displaying image on TV via HDMI, but recognizes the connection
I’m having an issue trying to connect my iPad Pro M1 11-inch to a TV via HDMI. When I plug it in, the iPad recognizes the connection (it shows the connection animation at the top of the screen), but nothing shows up on the TV.
I’ve tested this on two different TVs, and the behavior is the same: no image or indication of the connection appears.
The strange thing is that using the same HDMI cable and hub, I can connect my iPad mini 6 to both TVs without any issues. This makes me think the problem is with the iPad Pro, not the TVs or the cable.
Has anyone experienced something similar or knows how to fix it? Any help is appreciated!

2025.01.24 20:30 The-Salamander-Fan AWS StateMachine How to Catch Glue Job Errors in Parallel State?
I have a StateMachine that needs to run multiple Glue Jobs in parallel. Normally, a StateMachine will fail if any Glue Job state transitions to a fail state and will stop the execution of other states. In my case I wish to use Catchers to prevent this so that the jobs that don't fail run to completion. However, following the parallel state I need to check via choice state or something if any of the branches failed. If so I need to trigger a SNS Publish state and then transition to fail state. I need the eventual fail state to maintain redrive functionality but the other jobs need to complete independently.
For the life of me I cannot figure out how to set it up to identify if a branch in the parallel step failed. I assume I am not the first person who needs to do this? Any advice?

Fala, arrombados. Sou gerente de uma equipe de devs e tô precisando de um conselho porque a coisa tá começando a ficar feia aqui.
Recentemente, contratamos um desenvolvedor pleno, com um salário considerável, porque no processo seletivo ele mandou bem — mostrou uns projetinhos no GitHub, tinha experiência em empresas conhecidas e parecia dominar Next.js e Tailwind, que são basicamente a stack principal do nosso projeto. Acontece que, depois de algumas semanas, a produtividade deu uma boa caída.
O cara tá usando CSS puro e styled-components onde já temos toda uma base em Tailwind, não entende caralhos de como funciona autenticação e middleware do Next, e recentemente eu vi um dos meus devs perguntar se ele sabia que o Next tem server-side (foda bicho). Meu time todo tá frustrado porque ele não entrega no ritmo esperado e precisa de bastante suporte, o que fode a produtividade do resto da equipe, e o pior é que alguns xeretões descobriram que ele tá ganhando mais do que alguns devs mais experientes. O clima pesou.
Pra complicar ainda mais, percebi que ele tá sentindo a pressão e parece estar ciente da situação. Outro dia vi ele quieto no canto assistindo um intensivão de Next no YT, e logo em seguida começou a chorar, abriu um salgadinho Torcida e foi pro banheiro. Ele parece ser do tipo que come bastante quando fica nervoso.
E o pior não é nem isso: vi esse desgraçado escrevendo um post no Reddit bem quando pipocou um monte de erro 500 nas logs, de fuder mesmo bicho.
Tô pensando em realocar ele pra outro projeto paia pra desmotivar ele e ele pedir demissão, porque demitir é caro demais bicho. O que acham, arrombados?

So this cat is in my neighborhood. I am curious if anyone knows what this is. I have seen him around off and on for about a year and it's getting worse. It doesn't seem to be painful or causing the inner lid to come up. If untreated it looks like ut will eventually cause blindness. He looks overall healthy other than his eyes. He is very friendly.

2025.01.24 20:30 Wendigo120 Demon Form and extremely low life totals
TLDR: Don't bother going below 200ish max life if you want to sustain demon form longer.
I thought I was being clever by pairing a very specific Ingenuity roll with my two Ming's Hearts and all of the reduced life on the skill tree and achieving 99% reduced maximum life, so even a small amount of regen would be enough to sustain Demon Form longer than it takes to clear any content.
The tooltip does follow this, rounding to the nearest 0.1 life loss per second, including going to a tooltip life loss of 0 when I got my max life to 6 (with ghostwrithe on top of the 99% reduced).
However, after some testing, I couldn't sustain more than ~230 stacks regardless of if I had 6 or 20ish or 40ish life (by changing gear and speccing in and out of an infernalist life node). That is exactly the amount of life regen I have right now, so it seems that it rounds up to 1 life loss per second regardless of how far below that you are.
Interestingly enough, if you're just above 200 life (which is where the 0.5% per second per stack should go above 1) it doesn't round up to 2 life loss per second, so it seems like 1 life loss per second per stack is just a hard lower bound when it's calculating how much life you should lose.
Also interesting: current Life is apparently not an integer. While at 6 life, it does go down smoothly instead of at steps, so you can clearly see that there are values between all of the integers. Curious if any hardcore characters have lived to see another day after going below 1 life.
As a side note, the exact rolls I used for the 99% reduced max life are two 26% reduced max life Ming's Hearts combined with a 62 to 65% roll on Ingenuity, bringing each ring to a rounded down 42% reduced max life (84% total) and then picking up the 15% reduced max life that's available on the skill tree with Heavy Buffer and Goring. You specifically need to have skipped the Act 1 Cruel 8% increased maximum life reward and be aware that there is some increased max life in the infernalist tree. It's also possible with higher or lower rolls on the rings, but this seemed like the best middle ground between making the rings too expensive and making the belt too expensive.
