I’ve posted like 45 other times about my floor. I figured I should ask the flooring guys instead of the general home people.
I ripped up my hardwood, there are 2x12s as the subfloor.
Would you suggest cutting those out, adding blocking for the unsupported boards, then sistering the joists level for sheet subfloor.
Or throw sheets on top of the 2x12s, and screw the sheets through the boards and into the joists. Level with shims?

My 9 year old has a lot of trouble remembering to do certain tasks, or going to scheduled events. It is always a fight to ask him to do things due to the PDA profile. I came across the Watchminder wearable and really like the limited functionality and focus on reminders however its not clear if reminders can be programmed for different times on certain days. I also cane across the BiggerFive watch on amazon which has breathing/heart rate/sleep tracking that i like but also doesnt mention how reminders and scheduling works. I am wondering if anyone has used either of these or another wearable that: 1) isnt too expensive 2) doesnt allow for distractions 3) can be customized for different schedules each day
I also have ADHD so syncing which his phone calendar would be great so I can set it in One place and not have to worry about forgetting to update!

I got an offer from a London uni a week ago and the rents are insane. Even though I get the max maintenance loan and a bursary from them I'm still going to need to get a twin room in the off-campus accommodation to afford living there, but I can't even be guaranteed that I'll get the off-campus accommodation since you have to put down multiple choices for your halls. What am I supposed to do if I get allocated to one of their on-campus halls?

2025.01.24 20:39 HoustonPFD [PA] HR Director left voicemail wanting to speak directly weeks after final interview

I applied for this position in the first week of December. I heard back a couple days later over email and had my phone screen the second week of December. I had my final interview with upper management and the HR Director on 12/20, the Friday before Christmas. At the end of the interview, they told me it might be a few weeks to hear back due to the holidays/vacations/New Year. I thought okay, that makes sense.
It's been exactly five weeks since then. I didn't hear back at all, so I already kind-of accepted that I was ghosted after not hearing back last week.
Well this afternoon I came out of an unrelated interview and opened my phone to a missed call from the HR Director. She said she wanted to speak to me directly over the phone, and would try again on Monday when she's back in office. She told me to email her a good time, so I did and it's now set up for Monday.
Trying to give a little more context. All prior communication has been over email besides the phone screen and the interview over Zoom. After receiving the VM I checked the job posting online and noticed that it was removed, which had to be recent because it was up earlier this week.
What does this likely indicate? Based on brief research in this sub it can vary, so I tried to give as much context as I could. I've never received a rejection over the phone but this sub has made me realize that definitely still happens. Thanks everyone!

I remember reading somewhere that I shouldn't update elegoo Cura for my printer as it may not work properly, so I don't think I've ever updated the slicer before. Thanks in advance!

i enjoy video games (minecraft, the binding of isaac, tf2, civ 6, xcom, and a whole bunch of others), history, geography, and coding! as well as that, im currently binging all of hell's kitchen, as well as re-watching lets plays of amnesia: the bunker (great game imo).
recently (in the past three years) i've also gotten really into lord of the rings, as well as a few tv shows like House MD and anything Gordon Ramsey makes. it seems i like people with toxic personalities, meaning the bar for talking to me is quite low! :p
