Transparent Fill Isn't Transparent?

I can't find much information about creating TikZ fill patterns or even using the custom built-in patterns. Look to do all the common fills like lines, hatches, dots, stars, etc... I need to be able to control the scale, too. (The patterns I did end up finding were way to large.) Google doesn't seem to return much info on TikZ fill patterns. I know that \\: in LaTeX produces a space when rendered. Are there any alternatives, because my LaTeX renderer doesn't support \\: (it renders it as text), and there is no help / FAQ that I can find. So I'm trying to color the rows in my table, but in the rows where I use \\makecell, the colouring doesn't work properly. Somebody knows a solution for this? \\usepackage{xcolor, colortbl} %kleurtje... My understanding is that \vfill can be defined as \vspace{\fill}, so it makes sense that you cannot vertically center some text using \vfill Vertically centered \vfill because \vspace is ignored at the top of the page. By the same reasoning, \vspace*{\fill} Vertically centred\vfill should work and it does, although not quite perfectly. \vfill is equivalent to \vspace{\fill} and tells TeX to fill with white space. The variant \vspace*{<skip>} tells TeX not to ignore the vertical spacing also if it happens to fall just after a page break; all the previous vertical spacings will in fact disappear at page breaks. Horizontal spacing commands It should simply fill the white space for as far as the replacing text reaches, i.e. it does not need to be stretched to fill the whole space. I hope I explained this sufficiently since providing a MWE is hard without knowing the answer... Even the tiniest non-zero amount of fill is infinitely more than even the maximum amount of fil, but TeX does not actually need arithmetic to decide that. It simply remembers an 'order' for glue stretching / shrinking levels, where normal units like pt, cm, in etc. are order 0, fil is order 1, fill is order 2, and filll is order 3. \begin{figure} \centering \hspace*{\fill} {ILLUSTRATION 1} \hfill {ILLUSTRATION 2} \hspace*{\fill} \caption{Example float with two illustrations} \label{fig:mult1} \end{figure} I have tried to figure out, what the difference between \hspace*{\fill} and \hfill is!? The \hfill definition and \hspace definition did not help me much. \vspace{\fill} and \vfill are not exactly equivalent. They are if they appear between paragraphs, but not if they appear in a paragraph. \vspace{\fill} in a paragraph will add the filling vertical space below the line in which it eventually appears; \vfill ends the paragraph at the spot and adds the filling vertical space. Version 1.10 of pgfplots has been released just recently, and it comes with a new solution for the problem to fill the area between plots. Note that the old solution is still possible and still valid; this here is merely an update which might simplify the task.

Hi! I have no idea why this is happening or how to fix. For some reason, the transparent option is showing up as this cobalt blue. When it's on top of other element it looks transparent, but by itself or if a little exposed it looks like this. Is there something in my settings I need to fix?

I believe it had Pink lights outside (I was Drunk). I want to say it was not on a main drag and almost a little bit seedy a few blocks off. Is it just me or the idea of pushing it as far later in life as possible is outdated? Why would you want to do replace your hip/knee (if your QOL is declining slowly or not) as “late” as possible. I continue to have a decent number of surgeons say that then the others want to dive right in. My take is to do it now and not wait 5-10 years when you’re older, less healthy and probably less functional. Technology is advancing and the hardware is lasting longer. You’d want to enjoy your hip/knee and live your life. This is definitely more the case with some research showing preop ROM/strength and the correlation to level of outcome.

Hello here ,
(I hope all of you are doing okay , many bad things happen in the world but we have to stay strong ! <3)
My english is bad so sorry again , if you need that i rewrite something in the comment let me know .
Recently i read again "The Bacchantes" (i hope that its the english title , mine is in french) and i discover again the sentence where Dionysus talk about growing his hair for the god (who is himself in the story) . I search here for post about that and see that people keep doing that (sometime) because that can show the feminine side of a people (feminity that is show in Dionysos sometime) or because it show the wildness of nature , the true natural self . So I see that practice/devotion (if i can call that a practice or a devotion) as something that serve to show the wild side of ourself , let the hair be and exist .
I really like that type of idea but i have a question . My hair is very thin and i have many hair so when my hair was long before if i didnt tie them in braid or other hairstyle , they very fast going to tangle and make knot that most of the time is a hell to undo (i cut them also for that) . But i ask myself is that rest a good idea because for me tying them all the time represent a form of unwildness , like tamed the nature . And on the other hand , if i let my hair be they going to sometime break because of the brushing that i do to them to keep them to becoming a big knot and that cause to "break" the nature .
I know that most of the people going to tell me that everybody is free to do as they please (many other post about that say so) but i very like that idea and i wanted answer to all of that , learn point of view about all that .

At age 40, I'm not sure I've ever had 5 people I could call if I had something happen. Maybe while in college, but not since. Actually since moving the past couple times, I have my spouse as my 1, and maybe could call a neighbor if I was really in a bind, but I think that's it. I've really struggled being the first to reach out or to go into a group and hopefully realizing that recently can help me look to improve it. I also struggle to find anything I'm passionate about or feeling I can take time away from the family for myself. In the past I've been convinced to try some groups (choirs, bowling team) but never really made friends there. My wife works for the church and thus the perception of boundaries or perception of favorites has always seemed to make friends there off limits (that and mostly being smaller churches). I did have luck in a former town where I was put in touch with a friend group from another church of the same denomination who met weekly for drinks and talking that was fun, but I didn't find it myself and we aren't in the town.
I also listen to another podcast where they occasionally have a therapist on who spoke on friends, friendship, and levels of friends, so this is very fresh on my mind and something I hope I can improve.
All this to say, I think making friends as an adult is hard, takes work and bravery and it sounds like there are many of us out there who really struggle with it.

Nem vagyok biztos benne, hogy a legjobb sub, de kérdés hátha ér itt is.
Kis lakóközösségben szomszéd, aki egyben a közös képviselő is, elég okosba old meg egy két dolgot. A TV szolgáltatásért tuti nem fizet, mert amikor nálam felújítás miatt véletlen elvágtak egy régi jelkábelt, amit a szolgáltató elfelejtett kikötni, rögtön jött, hogy tudja hol van, megcsinálná. Ezzel még nem foglalkoztam, mert hát egészségére.
De mostanában feltűnt, hogy a lépcsőházban lévő konnektorban (elméletileg fűnyírás, és kertrendezési céllal van eleve) egyre gyakrabban van egy hosszabbító ,ami szépen be van vezetve a tárolójába, ahol ma láttam, hogy az elektromos biciklijét bütykölte, töltötte. Ez már kicsit zavar, mert tulajdonképpen a a lakóközösséget károsítja meg ezzel, még ha feltételezem nem is egy nagy összeg, de nem túl korrekt.
Mit tennétek?

Recent grad here with my test planned in the next week. I have been using “Fitzgerald Health Education Associates” and “FNP Mastery” for test prep. I wonder how these stack up against others. The practice questions in Fitzgerald have helped a lot it seems and the practice tests are great. FNP mastery questions seem a lot easier, my scores on that are significantly higher. I’m not sure what to make of this difference. Has anyone used either of these test prep programs? How did you do on your test?
