2025.01.24 23:11 mykrode Direct comparison Live Release to SU1 Beta. Much improved.
SU1 Beta seems to have been a considerable bump in image clarity and performance. Texture filtering ground imagery at altitude, has improved. Not only that, but the general clarity of their DLSS implementation seems to have produce a sharper image (see buildings), more contrast in shadows (see trees zoomed in). There also seems to be a minor reduction in VRAM usage but its so small it may just be the optimizations done to displays.
No settings were changed between versions and I checked to ensure they were the same across tests. 3440x1440, Ultra preset, RTX shadows disabled, DLSS Quality, 100 fidelityFX sharpening. FSR3 Frame Gen mod was enabled when taking both images, running on an RTX 3080.
Tried my best to match shot, but its not perfect. You can view both images at higher quality than reddit's webp will allow. Use the slider to compare, and zoom with scroll wheel.

With AI on the rise, it could destroy us or save us, but it will definitely destroy our climate if we don’t find a better solution to data centers and the heat pollution they exponentially create. This may be a further down the line type solution to continue to evolve in advancement without destroying our environment and I’m sure there are some negative implications like, the rocket fuel used to set something like this up, disturbances to natures view of space, and the difficulty to directly access the data and up keep. But I think with some time , more focus on localized cleaner energy, and advancements in data storage like in DNA and the possibility of storing data in superposition in individual particles. Like imagine if we were able to propel particles that stored data into space using low energy mechanical methods or something then have it received by an orbiting complex that interprets the data and transmits the data back to use when it’s needed. I don’t know just a jumping off point, what are your thoughts of something like this or the idea of getting all of our hot data off of the living planet?

So I had a dream that I was living in a big older house not mansion size but big. I was living with a bunch of random roommates. I didn’t know any of the people except one girl who I work with irl but I don’t really know well. The house felt familiar but I’ve never been there, and I could go outside and to other places and it seemed like days were going by in the dream. Outside there was a small circular cement stand that had a few stairs leading up to it and the stairs had a curve. There was a kind older woman that I spoke to who I think was the owner of the house but I’m not sure. The creepy part was when we were all sitting at a long table watching tv and the girl I work with went from commenting on the tv to talking to me about my insecurities and my fear of being alone and overlooked. She called me out on my insecurities exactly and got me to cry and then her and another girl hugged me and tried to comfort me but it felt wrong and made me uncomfortable and then I woke up.
If anyone has any ideas or insights about what all this means I would be very appreciative

Until now, I had the typical ISP router to provide Ethernet connection to my PC and Wi-Fi to the rest of my devices (laptop, mobile phones, Chromecast, and all the IoT/Zigbee/Thread devices...). I don't know if it's because I have more and more connected devices, but lately, the connection has been terrible, especially in the adjacent rooms (my house has two floors and 130m²). They replaced the router, but it's still the same.
I wanted to look into improving the Wi-Fi network, for example with the Wi-Fi 6 protocol. I was considering the Deco X55 to get better coverage and speed throughout the house. But now I've seen that using EasyMesh might also be a good option—maybe it's more versatile and compatible.
What do you recommend in my situation? Is EasyMesh compatible with the BSS Color and Beamforming technologies that Deco Mesh offers? To achieve the best results with HomeAssistant and protocols like Zigbee, Thread, Matter... is one solution better than the other?

 | Paint job was ok i mean I could’ve done better I was just stupidly impatient. It looks decent outside but when you’re sitting inside you can see the imperfection. Im no professional with spray painting but I thought i did ok. I sanded it with 600 grit and spray painted it with rust Oleum white gloss and clear coat.
