2025.01.24 23:50 toumei64 Best way to test while SmartNID in bridge mode

I've got a 3 gig Quantum connection with the SmartNID in bridge mode (light flashing blue, set up based on that often-linked post) with a Deco mesh system that goes up to 5 gig wired, but I'm not sure if it's working the way it's supposed to. I know the setup does work because I was getting 3 gig when I first set it up about a month ago. I was testing again today and speed tests are all over the place, even wired into the main router. I'm not able to get more than about 900 meg. This wouldn't be the first time I've had issues because they botched the build and install on my street.
What's the least painless way to test the speed directly from the smart NID thing? Do I need to factory reset it to test, then redo the bridge mode setup? I'd like to try and check before I go complaining to Quantum again.

2025.01.24 23:50 KreyolaKreyons Help! I have drone footage that is .mp4 HEVC codec (3840x2160px). Days ago these files were running smooth when opening to view, but now they are choppy and causing issues. What settings should I use to tcode on SE?

I work in premiere pro and sent a completed/ edited video to a client but he wanted it slightly shorter. I made all of the changes and exported and the exported video was choppy. I tried all types of various work around with no luck. Finally I decided I was going to recreate the video from scratch using the original drone footage, but now the footage isn't smooth and is choppy which currently completely messes with me being able to use that video in a project. I've read and researched for hours and have now got Shutter Encoder. What would you recommend doing to transcode or recode this video to work correctly? I've been editing videos for years now but have never had this problem, because usually I can just export using Media Encoder and the exported video is smooth, which is not the case now.

2025.01.24 23:50 heavensdumptruck I've always been the kind of reader that wants to take favorite books from each stage of my life into every new one. I was certain The Turn Of The Key by Ruth Ware would become one of those. The problem is, having read it through once, I don't think I could face reading it again.

I was fine coming to the conclusion that I'm too emotionally fragile and scarred to go through reading books like Handle With Care or My Sister's Keeper more than once. It was, however, a bit of a shock to discover I had something akin to that same ratled reaction to my latest Ruth Ware find. Like The Lying Game, another Ware title, The Turn Of The Key was wrenching in a way I wasn't expecting. It's honestly a bit of a revelation to consider how much is out there in fiction that speaks to just about any kind of person or experience. Give me a Ramsey Campbell novel and I can tuck myself into it's evocative and layered prose all day long. It takes nothing away from the quality of any other style of fiction. Moreover, Ruth Ware is a talented enough writer that I'll always chance her works; if only one time through.
Those of us who actually love reading are fortunate indeed. Thoughts?

I was playing Dying Light, when I suddenly got joined by a random guy, who then promptly left right afterwards. I got teleported to an area which looked like a sewer, I was told this was the start of the following, I quit the game to try and reset myself to my actual area because I was underleveled. And when I started the game again, I was waking up in the Tower for the first time with my game at 0%.
Is there a way to fix this? Because otherwise I'm gonna be dropping this game. I'm not redoing 10 hours of playing.

Estou viajando essa semana, só volto la pro dia 3 de fevereiro, provavelmente estarei sem acesso a internet depois de domingo, porém como estava praticamente garantido que ia passar na somente na segunda chamada n me preocupei em trazer nada, e deixei todos os documentos pra matricula em casa e tenho todos eles escaneados no whatsapp.
Minha duvida é: existe alguma chance de eu passar na primeira chamada por conta do pessoal que botou o curso como segunda opção? Esse pessoal fica na lista de primeira chamada junto com a galera normal? O numero costuma ser muito grande? Queria saber isso logo para poder programar com minha família de checarem a primeira lista e fazerem a matrícula online por mim caso seja necessário
