I've been getting glasses since 6th grade and always wanted to try contact lenses but always got too scared or my insurance didn't cover it at the time so now I can but I'm nervous. I suffer from dry eyes so I use eye drops and I know contact lenses can sometimes make it worse or uncomfortable but I've gotten better at using my eye drops (an agreement my last eye doctor and I had was if I use eyedrops enough I can get contact lenses) I'm just hesitant because I don't know how different the eye appointment for contact lenses are from glasses appointment. So anyone willing to explain it would be welcomed. Thank you.

Hello all,
I recently accepted a job that involved relocating to a new area. I gave my employer notice and everything ended on really good terms with them. I'm set to start my new job in a week and got a surprise phone call from my previous employer for a position that they're making for me at their location where I'm moving for more pay and benefits than the job I accepted.
Obviously I feel like I should go back to my previous employer but I feel bad rescinding my acceptance of the new employer's offer as they were banking on me to spearhead their new department.
Is it a huge faux pas to back away from an offer a week before for a better one? Would it be weird if I offered to consult for them as opposed to accepting a position so that I'm not just completely abandoning them?

Hello everyone,
So, I am currently driving a 2008 kia rio and finally need to upgrade to something that is reliable and slightly powerful.
Everyone recommends a camry but as a brown guy I just don't wanna fit in the stereotype,
I was also looking into mazda 3s, subaru liberty,
Or even a semi old Honda accord.
The accords looks really nice and so do the old toyota crowns.
I am not sure which option should I consider given that I live in a somewhat hilly area and have to drive for 2 hours on a highway on a regular basis.
Looks are important but reliability is more important for me.
Any advice would be welcome 😊

2025.01.25 01:26 deCantilupe P/S high pressure line has a major leak. Has this been repaired before and can it be done again, or should I just replace the whole line?
 | Thought I had a light oil leak recently but the engine oil level never changed. Wednesday it felt bad turning the wheel and made a new noise. Checked under the hood while the engine was running and the leak was very obvious, right from the apex of the line under a rubber cover. The leak must have really accelerated Tuesday/Wednesday because the engine compartment wasn’t sprayed with oil before. The P/S fluid is low in the reservoir, obviously, so car has been parked since to protect the P/S pump. Looking at the replacement part online though doesn’t show this mid-line crimp joint. Has this line been repaired once before and can it be done again for less than the part? Or should I just spend the $70 and crawl under the car this weekend? I went to get something out of the garage freezer and noticed it was soft. On further inspection, several items were soft/semi frozen. I was in there about 24 hours ago and perhaps the door didnt seal tightly when I shut it. I moved everything into the main freezer in the house and its pretty cold in the garage. Would the food in there still be safe? Thanks!
