I love my wife, but I feel like as she's aging what I think is her OCD it's just getting out of hand. The main behavior is she displays is washing kitchen items three or four times to ensure they're clean. Washing her hands 20 to 30 times a day. Religiously washing our coffee mugs and water tumblers when she gets home from work for a good 15 to 20 minutes. Treating expiration dates like at midnight on that day the milk immediately turns to poison. Treating the recommended dosage of OTC meds as if one extra pill will cause immediate death. There are a couple other little things but these are the behaviors I noticed the most.

There's numerous sources telling you how to do simple electroplating of copper onto steel. And then there's a few sources saying that this doesn't work, and offering some (to me) hand-wavey explanations. I do believe it is "impossible" to truly plate copper onto steel with an acid solution but I don't understand why. Most of the explanations center on the reactivity series, and that plating a lower metal onto a higher metal is very difficult. But then I don't understand the advice that plating nickel first will solve this issue. Because that's just in the middle and then you have that reactivity problem twice over? Or are they "close enough" at that point? Or is the nickel intermediary bad advice?
My understanding is that in successful electroplating, the plated atoms form a metallic bond that successfully creates an alloy. And that in unsuccessful plating, you're basically just preciptating out a shell of copper atoms that all bond metallically to each other, but not to the iron (or perhaps, form metallic bonds at a low rate). There's a video that suggests that the reason for this is that iron participates in a single replacement reaction at the cathode surface, and this (somehow) prevents metallic bonds. But the single replacement reaction seems to just be that some of the iron on the surface is dissolved into solution. I don't see how this prevents a metallic bond where copper is deposited. I also don't understand (again) how nickel might solve this, because (again) the reason given for the single replacment reaction is that iron is more reactive than copper. But that still brings us back to the same issue that nickel is in the middle, and still below iron, and still above copper, so why would there not be displacement reactions there too? I'm very confused by all of this. I just want to understand what the little atoms are doing.

I just got the roomba j9+ and after the second run the app told me there was a sealing problem with the clean base opened it nothing was wrong. After a couple more times sending it out to clean I decided to look at the dust bag I saw dust just inside the bases bin. I have never seen this before as I had a roomba i7 with a clean base only hunch I have is that the bags that came with the j9+ has a cardboard face instead of the plastic ones like when the i7 has

Restoring LJN figures This was my first attempt at restoring an old figure.
I used warm water, Dawn dish soap and a toothbrush to clean him. He felt a little tacky after he dried, but it wasn't too bad.
There were a couple of scuff marks that didn't come out during the initial cleaning. I tried non acetone nail polish remover on a Q-tip and a small piece of magic eraser. They both worked, the magic eraser worked a little faster.
There wasn't much paint loss, and it's a pretty basic figure, so I just used an acrylic paint marker for touch ups.
I finished him with a product called VPR (vinyl, plastic, rubber) used in auto detailing, and rubbed it in with a rag.
Not bad for 40 years old.

Hi I am traveling with the family to Seoul Korea for a week in mid-March.
One of my family members is a competitive archer and would like to practice during our trip. She would like to do one or two practice sessions, for two to three hours each time. She will bring along her own equipment - recurve bow and arrows.
We found the Archery Center Seoul in Gangnam on Google Maps, but when we contacted them they said they were closing down the location.
Do you know if there are any other archery ranges or clubs in Seoul that allow visiting tourists to practice there? Thanks!

I bought a Legator g7ss not even 5 months ago and experiencing the input jack cutting out when the cable moves. When I first got it I did notice no cable seemed to go into the jack all the way (small gap), but the jack isn’t loose and I didn’t experience cutting out issues till recently.
Feeling pretty disappointed, I did contact Legator but I know they might take a while to answer. Has anyone else had this happen on a new guitar?
