We arrived half-way through Traxx's set. Around 1:30am.
We were so excited for the moment. We travelled from San Francisco after seeing threads here give it unequivocal praises.
However when we got in, all we could hear was bass. Larynx-vibrating bass. And none of the highs or mids. Literally couldn't hear the song itself. And regardless of where we moved on the dance floor.
It was so unexpected that we had to step off the dance floor and wonder if we made a mistake by coming.
To clarify, this aren't shared as complaints. Instead, observations. Been doing this since the 90's, which is less of a flex and more a qualitative fact that I've heard lots of sound systems, and it was on the worse end of the spectrum. I rarely say something negative about sound and instead usually just praise good sound systems when I come by them, so this caught me off guard.
What's interesting is something changed about an hour later. And then everything changed when DVS1 went on. The bass was cut by about half. The volume turned down a bit. And suddenly is was a beautiful, booming, clear experience. More in line with a solid, well-tuned sound system. There were a few times in DVS1's set that the volume and bass went up to pretty mind-blowing levels. But it the experience remained clear.
In the end we had a blast. But I'm curious what happened between ~2am-3:00 with the huge change in how the audio was being approached and wonder if anyone else noticed the same.
Finally, I'd be remiss to not give shout-outs to the promoters. The ticketing process, email communications, social media posts, on-site quality like coat check, free Narcan, outdoor heaters, friendly staff. The event was clearly thrown with love. Many thanks to the crews at Hush, 6am and Work. As well as all the amazing people we danced with on the dance floor.

Being belgian myself, I'm wondering how my fellow europeans are able to find ANY product thats not shrouded fable (Although I actually like the set).
There arent a lot of TCG stores here and all of the major toy stores charge 60-70€ per etb if they even have any left. Surging sparks, prismatic and even the pre orders for journey together arent even in stores at all so I'm stuck between buying at scalper prices or not buying anything at all nowadays.
How do you guys find product at reasonable pricing?

Honestly having a hard time picking between the 2.
I want to run 3d printing slicers in the background while watching youtube and playing games.
However, a 64 gb cl36 kit realistically runs at 3600mhz cl30. I'm wondering if the drop in speeds is worth it?
Also I don't know if it would be possible to overclock a 64 gb kit on am5 platform to increase MT/s or latency. Also I've heard CAS latency does not matter could someone please explain?
