Hi everyone!
Iām at a crossroads in my life and could use some insight from those whoāve navigated a similar journey. I (48/m) donāt know if this is a mid-life crisis or just a deeper need to step away from the rat race, but hereās my situation:
Iām a retired military vet with passive income and healthcare covered. I also have about $250K in savings and another $150K to add to rhat once i sell mu home.
Recently, Iāve felt an overwhelming urge to leave the U.S., especially after a tough breakup a few months ago thatās left me reevaluating everything. The current political climate isnāt helping either. So I've decided to fast track my plans to leave the US and retire 10 years earlier than planned.
Iām in the process of applying for a D7 visa to move to Portugal with my daughter (her mom is fully supportive of the move), and Iām hoping for approval by June. My house goes on the market soon, with the plan to close in late May when the school year (and my contract) ends.
Right now, Iām in the process of unhitching myself from my current lifeāselling my house, preparing for the move, and figuring out whatās next. The transition period feels unsettling, though. The thought of not having a place to call home for a while and living in limbo until the move is daunting.
I want to use this time wisely, but Iām not sure where to start or how to stay grounded during this period of waiting. Has anyone been in a similar situationāpreparing for a big life change while managing the uncertainties of the in-between? Iād love to hear how you handled it, what you did to stay focused, or any advice on how to make the most of this transitional time.

Hi!
I am considering going to Thailand for 3 weeks and join a Muay Thai camp. I was looking for recommendations.
I have been going for 60 min muaythai bag workout classes for the last few months. I know my endurance/cardio is not cut out for those places which consider a 5k/10 k run as warm up lol so Iām looking for something beginner friendly.
I was considering Punch It since I saw some good reviews. I also looked up Tiger Muay Thai but the large classes are a bit intimidating.

I'm surrounded by WLW since bata palang ako (ate, tita, tropa) kaya love ko sila kahit straight trans woman ako.
So nagPoblacion kami ng pinsan ko and partner nya kagabi. Syempre normal na makakita ng afam na lalaki at pinay/transpinay dun. Pero laking gulat ko nakakita ako ng magjowang afam at pinay na parehong babae magkaholding hands along Burgos Ave.
So pareho sila naka royal blue na tshirt, jeans and sneakers. Simple lang sila pareho, walang makeup, long straight hair si pinay, pero short blonde hair si afam. Ang cute nila magkasama. Nakakatuwa sila tignan.
Sana talaga more WLW dito na magafam din.

I am planning on extending the metal duct with sheet metal (just flashing ok?) over to the edge of the wall hole. I want to wrap the vent stack with flashing and then foil tape. Recently I've been binging more, especially at night and I don't know how to stop. I always feel so ashamed and guilty when I do, during the day I'm usually ok but then at night I tend to binge especially on sugar and salty snacks. These past few days have been especially bad. Around 2005 I was taking piano lessons and had a collection/book of music that I believe was "impressionist" themed but was geared more towards an intermediate/advancing learner. It did NOT include composers like Debussy Ravel etc., the composer(s) was more contemporary. The only thing I remember is one piece called "Veins..." -- can't find it anywhere online. Does this sound familiar to anyone? All I remember is a light-colored book which if still in print may have been redesigned. Any help is appreciated thank you!
