2025.01.26 07:22 Fade78 Being OOM should not prevent spell to be cast
This may be an unpopular opinion since mana is part of game culture and is what's separate an arcade game from a serious game that needs a PhD in order to understand the basis but hear me out.
I play an Infernalist and so my character is tuned for mana regeneration. In human form I'm weak but I have "infinite mana", that means my regeneration is way above what is needed and so I can cast "for free" every spells I want in any amount I want. In daemon form, with increased spell level and cast speed, I'm more powerful but the mana consumption is higher and I can't do that.
I'm in a T14 map right now that prevent me to regenerate fully, therefore, I can't maintain the daemon form so I use my weak human form and can cast whatever I want when I want. What happens is that the game is way more fun.
There are other parameters that can be the subject of bonus and malus, like :
- cast speed
- cooldown (only for a few)
- walk speed
- power
