throw away account because i dont feel comfortable talking about this otherwise. i also dont know where to even talk about this as well, i tried posting on adhd but it got shadow removed
im, 22 M. diagnosed with adhd when i was 5-7
basically i have this problem with intrusive thoughts and hyperfixation on specific characters, one of these characters is braixen. i love braixen quite a lot but i keep getting angry/depressed whenever people depicts them as male, and when the depiction of the character is also nsfw witch is worse since my brain creates intrusive thoughts and constantly throws the art back in my face witch then infuriates me even more and builds anger that effects me for a long time since i cant get it to stop. this anger effects how i work since im trying to organize and get rid of these thoughts while also trying to figure out what im doing/trying to remember what i was doing witch causes by brain to overload and causes me to start lashing out
additionally i have plenty of other thoughts THAT HAVE EFFECTED ME FOR YEARS, "im not selling my soul" is one that has kept me awake a few nights because i couldn't stop thinking about it and it and a few other thoughts can repeat ENDLESSLY for days on end, these thoughts causes a shit ton of anxiety.
i have literally punched myself in the head several times when these things are happening BECUSE MY BRAIN WONT SHUT THE FUCK UP AND WONT STOP SHOWING ME SHIT I DONT WANT TO SEE OR THINK ABOUT.
i tried googling ways to help but nothing has been helpful additionally i seen that this is more common for those with ocd rather then adhd but i know there is a lot of overlap when it comes to these things so idk.
anyone else struggle with this kind of thing and if you do how do you deal with

tbh i was already obsessed with 2hollis based off how quickly i liked his music since i first heard it in august, then i started getting obsessed with how he looks too (he’s exactly my type) and i went to his show in atl and met him, tagged him in my ig story of it and he watched my story and didn’t like anything, didn’t dm back, nothing.. so it’s like okay i have no choice but to accept/understand/respect the fact that clearly he did not fall in love with me/doesn’t like me, that’s fine because i still love being a fan of his and i love his music still.. but i also feel just kindaaa a crushing feeling now (crushing in a bad feeling way, not crush as in love interest) because his show was so amazing, first time crying at a concert in years (and i go to many concerts), and he was so nice and beautiful up close in person i can’t help myself thinking about him, thinking about everything i did wrong when i met him, (i did sum embarrassing out of being completely overwhelmed and also drunk, but mostly shocked i was in his face so fast, i was not ready) and it literally feels uncontrollable like not fun anymore kinda..
i just don’t want to be that creepy parasocial fan because i again, it’s literally in my face now that he doesn’t like me enough to like my story/dm back/even accept the dm request, 2hollis is a character, i don’t know him and he doesn’t know me, but it’s like damn this guy makes some of my favorite art i’ve ever been exposed to anddd he’s beautiful as fuck, my age, feel like i can relate to him based off his songs/playing a characteaesthetic, but like i will never be more than a fan and again i don’t want to annoy him, im fine with admiring and supporting from afaas a fan but damn i also want to stop thinking about him 24/7 considering he will never want me. i also had to hold myself back from going to another show on this tour bc again i met him and i know i would just try to meet him again, but it’s like bruhh apart from HIM, his music is soooo so so good for concerts and he’s such a great performer i really do wanna see him over and over and over again but i have to stop being crazy. i just really regret coming off as such a fake fan/girl that just thinks he’s hot, when i was literally in his top 500 listeners for the year and i started listening August 1st. i wish i was more equipped to at least make him feel appreciated as an artist but i blanked when i met him. that’s all. thank you. i’m sorry.
