I read it in 1987 or 1988. I think it was told from the point of view of a young girl. The only specific detail I remember is that they had to hide under a bunch of chicken cages in the back of a horse drawn cart. I think it was historical fiction, not a memoir.

2025.01.27 05:24 grt7000 Pc won't Boot
So I recently bought all the parts for my new pc and assembled it all together with no issues, pc booted perfectly fine and I had no problems at all. About 2 weeks ago I got my hands on an elgato hd60 and decided to install it into my pc so I can stream games from my gaming console, but that's where the issues began, black screens out of nowhere which could only go away if I turned my pc off from the switch at the back. I didn't know what caused that issue so I decided to take the elgato out again and everything was working fine until today when I got another black screen whilst playing. This time restarting my pc didn't fix the issue and I can't no longer boot my pc. When I press the turn on button the pc turns on but I have no display what so ever and a red light on my motherboard the gigabyte b650 eagle ax. I don't know what to do anymore I'm desperate for help 😭

Hello WHS professionals of Australia,
I am looking at a career change after a workplace accident has left me in doubt about continuing in manual labour work into old age. I’ve been a restaurant manager and electrician for the past 15 years but have badly damaged my neck and want to move into a WHS officer role. I have lot of coaching/training and safety experience so I’m looking forward to bringing that experience to a new role.
I have the following questions regarding the training and gaining experience in WHS.
- What courses would give me an advantage when looking for entry level positions? I am enrolled in a cert 4 in WHS and about to enrol in a cert 4 in T&A. I have done advanced first aid but what else would you recommend?
- What’s your recommendation for getting my first position to build up my experience in the field?

Ive been watching The X Files (currently halfway through season 4), and obviously I know X Files is referenced multiple times throughout Bones. My question to those of you that have seen both shows is: What episode/plot line would you want to see Bones and Booth navigate in place of Scully and Mulder? I just watched the episode of X Files where the guy with the vestigial tail who can transform into anyone transforms into Mulder. The thought of Bones and Booth navigating really any of the X Files cases, but especially this one, is hilarious to me 😂

And the effort (or lack thereof) in his recent videos especially proves that.
I know this topic has been brought up a bit recently, but his videos are undeniably unbearable at this point. I wish his viewers would see this subreddit and open their eyes.
I really used to enjoy his videos. Mostly the vlog channel. I looked forward to it every night.
He knows and has acknowledged that people do not like for him to vlog in front of the computer. Yet, that’s all he does. The clickity clack of the keyboard and reading useless bullshit is a troll at this point. Glasses on. Glasses off. “What’s this hair on my forehead????”
NO ONE CARES ABOUT WHAT YOU’RE GOOGLING. TALK TO YOUR AUDIENCE. They can google things on their own.
I’d love if someone more petty than me would do an analysis of his recent vlogs to analyze how much of the video was spent on his phone/computer vs actually talking and connecting. It won’t be me though lol.
He has the nerve to brag about how long his vlogs are. Yeah, anyone could sit in front of a computer and read IMDB for an hour and 40 min. His attention span CANNOT handle the distraction of sitting in front of the camera.

Sorry this is my first time using reddit, okay so one of my friends invited me into a discord server last year to play games with her and her friends, one of her friends started texting me and we started talking more and more. He texts me everyday and throughout the day and I reply once a day or once every few days. He told me he texts me the most, replies instantly to only me and one of his other friends, he is sharing his steam library with ONLY me and not his other friends that he has known for longer, and he keeps trying to meet up. I'm afraid he likes me, and I don't see him that way at all. Thoughts?

Hi everyone,
I'm 19 and live in Virginia Beach, Virginia, currently exploring flight schools near me. The closest option is ATP (yes, I've heard the horror stories), but I'm wondering if there are other flight schools on the East Coast or relatively close to my area that you'd recommend.
I’m leaning toward the Part 141 route because it seems faster (correct me if I’m wrong), but honestly, I’m open to advice! I’m willing to spend the money at ATP if it’s a good school, but if I can spend that money somewhere else and get a better education, that would be ideal.
Also, just to be clear: joining the military is not an option for me.
My dad is a fighter pilot, so I'd usually ask him for guidance, but he’s deployed for the next 2 years, so I’m on my own.
Any advice, recommendations, or insight would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone :) I want to start getting into whittling and have a bunch of supplies that I got as a gift a few years ago. One thing I don't have tho, is a safety pad for my leg. I've seen youtubers have leather ones for Obsidian carving but they don't have the specifications on their pages. How thick do I need it to be? I just purchased a 6in hand saw, so it would need to withstand passes from that.
