 | Surgeon: Dr. Jeffrey Schmidt in Denver, CO Cost: $4500 I don’t see many men posting here so figured I’d share my results. Been self conscious about my double chin since losing weight. Felt like no matter how much gym progress I made, it was always masked by my chin. The procedure was easier than getting my teeth cleaned. Recovery has been a breeze. Basically no pain at all. Didn’t even need tylenol. Had light yellow bruising on day 2-8 but it is now mostly cleared up. No banding, minimal swelling and my doctor ordered no post op compression wrap after I remove the wrap at home the morning of day 2. The one thing I want to stress here is that there was zero compression on this at any point from the 2nd day on. My surgeon says he doesn’t like the wraps because they introduce variables that can’t be controlled. Listen to your surgeon obviously but Dr. Schmidt was pretty clear on zero compression. The only meds I took were celebrex and an antibiotic. Cleaned the sutures with peroxide and bacitracin 6 times a day for the first week. Had invested some amount in Motilal Oswal S&P500 & Navi US total market FoF before March 2023.
Was planning to liquidate those. Profit is ~1L. Was wondering what’s the current taxation on these? With so many changes in last 2 budgets am kinda confused a bit.
Is it taxfree considering I have held it for more than a year(~2 years now) and profit amount is less than 1L, or am I mistaken?

Às vezes parece que nada dá certo. Passei o período inteiro da faculdade me dedicando estudando, abrir mão de lazer e de conforto para no final o resultado do ser o mesmo: notas baixas e frustrações.
No final do ano na véspera do ano novo minha namorada terminou comigo, um relacionamento de quase dois anos, por motivos que até hoje eu não consigo entender muito bem. Foi a minha primeira namorada.
Nem na academia tô conseguindo ter resultado. Tenho estado cansado e desanimado. Minha alimentação tem estado ruim o que culminou na minha perca de peso.
Ultimamente eu estou desesperançoso e muito triste com o que tem acontecido na minha vida. Sinceramente às vezes parece que as coisas não são para dar certo mesmo.
Eu vejo muito de meus amigos conseguindo avançar tanto em relacionamento quanto em estudos e carreira. Tenho a sensação de que eu tô ficando para trás e tá ficando tarde demais para mim alcançar as coisas (Tenho 22 anos).
Eu entendo que pode parecer exagerado da minha parte mas infelizmente é o que tenho sentido. Eu só quero ser melhor, não pra provar pra alguém mas pra me sentir bem comigo mesmo.
Eu não sei o que fazer.

2025.01.27 04:20 sugarbutspicy SD is frustrated with me for *not* spending his money.
TLDR: Basically, he thinks I am too frugal with my allowance and is upset that my lifestyle while we’re apart is pretty much the same as it was before I met him.
Example: I take a lot of road trips, so I will sleep in my cashower at Planet Fitness so I don’t have to pay for hotels. I’ve done this since I was a teen when my parents would kick me out, it’s really not that bad. I relayed what I thought was a funny story of a time when a homeless woman came up to my car to ask if I had any money. I could only scrounge like a dollar’s worth of change from my center console, and the homeless lady refused it and called me a broke b*tch. (Like, hoe, you are literally the one begging me??? 💀💀)
Anyway, apparently all he heard from that anecdote was that I lived in my car as a teen. He was further upset to learn I’ve slept in my car while dating him (just on road trips — I have an apartment now). He’s convinced I’m going to get murdered if I sleep in my car. He also has an issue with me walking places at night instead of Ubering, not going to the doctor’s when I’m sick or injured, etc.
He believes it’s embarrassing for him as a man/provider if his girlfriend lives like this. That people who know us will think he’s a selfish asshole, because he’s so wealthy yet lets his young girlfriend be destitute. Even though he actually does give me a good allowance, I just try not to spend it.
What do y’all think? My perspective is that he has really high standards of what a “necessity” is because he grew up wealthy + is more risk-averse than average. I think how I live when we’re apart and how I spend (or don’t spend) my allowance is my business. His perspective is that it’s a safety issue/causes him to worry, plus that part of the fun of sugaring is seeing me enjoy a better lifestyle.
We’re not going to break up over this, but it is a small point of contention in our relationship.

So, I’m putting together my own audiobook.
I don’t wanna get into it too much, but essentially there’s a scene where the detective is feuding with the sheriff, and it reminds him of his father and their disagreements.
Throughout the chapter, the detective is seen suffering from hallucinogen persisting perception disorder after using DMT, and as result he begins to hallucinate the sheriff as his father BUT their conversation deviates into his native French.
Would this be too confusing or distracting for the audience? Even if it’s brief.
Should the narrator revert to using French or should the narration be briefly absent, letting the voice actors dialogue take over?
I believe the viewer could understand the context of the hallucination’s conversation, even if they don’t know any French.
It’s about someone seeing familiar parallels from the past, starting a conversation with one person, and ending it without another. “FatheSon disagreements”
