As an avid hiker and backpacker, I think I get it. I’m interested in getting into rucking but can’t help but conceptualize it as backpacking aka walking/running with a weighted pack on your back. Do I need a special rucksack specific for rucking? Or can I use a small daypack (20ish L) and put a ruck plate in it? In my head this would work, but I feel like I’m missing something.
I’ve been on a number of backpacking trips and so, as someone who’s never tried rucking before, is rucking similar to backpacking in that it’s essentially activity with weighted pack?

My Disney Princess VCR won’t turn back on (please help!) So, I bought this 2003 VHS / DVD player a few years ago, and I’ve had this persistent issue where if I insert a disk that’s anything less than pristine, she’ll take a shit and die, and won’t turn back on for several days. Then like a week later, she’ll turn back on as if nothing happened.
This has been a problem for a while, but yesterday I made the mistake of leaving her turned on so I wouldn’t lose my place in a TV show I was watching, and when I came back, she had died again. I’ve seen her do this before, but I’m worried because the specific circumstances are different from all the other times this has happened. What if she doesn’t turn back on ever again?
I need information, advice, or at least some reassurance that I can expect her to go back to normal again. Anything helps.

This is my first post on the sub and I want to use it to talk about one of my favorite characters Makima.
I think she's tragic because her real goal in life is to be loved. As the control devil she was born with the power to control people she thinks lesser than her. So she really has no choice to be narcissistic because its way her power operates. It's sad because even though she's the control devil Makima still wants to have a normal equal relationship but she can't do to her nature and power.
I think she genuinely cries during the movie scene because of this loneliness she has in her heart. Makima honestly tries her best to make a connection with someone. I think it's why she treats Denji like a dog it's the only way she knows how to love. Makima uses her control to love it's HER expression of love.
Denji DOSENT understand what love is he confuses it with Lust which is understandable given how young he is. Makima at the beginning tries to teach him what that is. I believe she genuinely tries in her way to build a connection with denji. From taking care of him , giving him a family, giving him a temporary goal and saving his life twice.
However I do understand Makima isn't a good human nor she's a good lover no sane person should be like her. I know what she did to Aki and Denji and I know she basically did all that to break Denji. But I feel somewhere along the way she was actually trying to see if she could change. In the end her nature won in the end and she reported to CONTROL.

It’s making me feel crazy, and with everyone always just bringing up the essentially-nonexistent 1982-D Small Date Copper, I don’t ever see anyone addressing this one. I weigh literally every penny that I look at, and every Denver mint Large Date has been copper. Over the years (once as a gift, and once through a purchase, I received completed LMC collections and upon reorganizing/weighing, realized the spot was filled with coppers for BOTH COLLECTIONS.
It feels ridiculous but I’m considering buying one that’s slabbed at this point. Am I actually going to find one someday or are people just uninformed when saying that they’re common? Wtf is this? I’m actually freaking out. I have never ever had worms in either of my tanks. And I’m petrified of all worms (silly but it’s a genuine fear for me)
I had a singular Nerite snail in this tank for 6 months. Then I bought (4) cherries from a LFS and it’s been 7 days since I’ve put them in, and these show up. And they’re pretty big!
Mind you, I’ve bought (3) cherries from this store before and never saw these in the other tank.
There’s 4 worms. Are these parasites??? Are these healthy worms?? Omg please help me ID.
I try to wear gloves during water changes but I have gotten my hands wet when fixing up a plant that got unrooted. I wash my hands throughly after I’m done doing tank work. please let me know I won’t have parasites 🫠🫠

been bullied by these specific two people and never got apologies probably because we were young / or they forgot.
i'm no longer friends with one of them and okay with one. it sucks to know that i'm dragging myself down in misery just because they're doing good as well. they happened to be in similar lifestyle / career paths as me.
if we really talk about the specifics, I went to a better school (top 5 in my country) but i'm like bitter that they're still able to reach near me?
questions are: how could I remove them from my thoughts? why do people that are not only bad to us personally but bad to others receive good outcome in life?
like they haven't reflected, I can tell from the things I hear about them. and the one i'm still okay with, they nonstop talk about their dreams + achievements and is quite self-absorbed.
being bitter sucks because I know that they should flourish in their own lives as well! I should focus on myself but I can't forget about things easily.
