There's this concept in string theory where different branes float around a higher dimensional space called the "bulk", and some speculate that branes colliding is what started the Big Bang. But this obviously contradicts the traditional model, where there is no outside to the universe. Is the idea of branes colliding to start the Big Bang an idea widely accepted by string theorists, or do most string theorists stick to the traditional Big Bang, where the different compactifications exist WITHIN the universe, but there is no outside to the expansion?

I fell off the wagon this past weekend and I’m meeting with my group later. I don’t want to tell them that this happened, I just want to be there and talk to them. I don’t want the applause, or the congratulations or the 24 hour chip, mainly because I see this as a huge failure on my part. They might see it as a success or a fresh start, but I just can’t bring myself to see it that way. If anything, being given another 24 hour chip would bring me to tears. Like, shameful tears. I’m relatively new to AA, so I’m wondering, do I have to share this with my group? Would it be dishonest of me to not share? Is it enough to just keep going to meetings and talk to my group? Good morning, was wondering if anyone had issues with meal selecting process. This is obviously a minor thing in the grand scheme, and am very lucky to be going on this vacation, so if nobody has any solutions that’s quite alright.
Basically, I received an email to select meal today for an upcoming flight (ATL to curaçao). Followed the link in the app, brought me to a page where two options were listed:
Signature selection (brief description) Skip main meal service in flight (brief description)
Select —> (with this option surrounded by box)
I figured these were my options, I checked signature selection, turns out it’s not a link.
So I clicked select-turns out that is to select the skip service.
Tried to then Change in app to no avail. Apparently the default option is the signature selection. Tried to change online and in app but it keeps returning back to the “skip option”
Called the delta line and he fiddled with it for awhile, could not get it to work either. Declared it a bug, said would put a note in to provide a meal, but said I should probably pack a snack.
Anyone have any solutions or ideas to remedy to this problem?
Again, it’s no big deal ultimately, so lucky to be going on a wonderful trip, and the flight isn’t terribly long. I don’t want to seem like I am complaining so if there isn’t a great solution it’s quite alright.
