2025.01.29 06:11 CommercialOstrich414 Help needed with RF ferrites
Hey all, I’m currently in the process of designing a very small scale (like 50W) 20 meter RF amplifier as a project. The entire design part all makes sense to me except for the input and output impedance matching. From what I see, material 43 and 61 are used due to their permeability…that makes sense. What confuses me is when I look at binocular cores in material 43, I get a ton of options from, say, Fair-rite, each with a different graph. On the graph is the series resistance value, XL, and the impedance of the core. What exactly am I looking for in a core here? I’ve heard 5x core impedance compared to your source impedance (50 ohms) is good but I’m not sure. Having a low series resistance would make sense to me to minimize core loss, but I’m just having a really difficult time choosing some cores to order and test in my design.
TL;DN: I’m not sure how to choose Rs, XL, and Z when choosing a ferrite

My sister set herself on fire after a heated argument. Luckily the burns weren't as severe as it could have been. She would be admitted leave today and would not be able to interact with others in the house due to risk of infection. She is in an unstable position right now, worrying about her image, the bills, what others might think, regret, guilt. I don't want her to take refuge in her usual instagram brainrot during her solitude.
Would you guys recommend books that would relate to her situation, about self preservation, confidence, healing. Happy endings should be a must. She's not a reader, so simple books with simple dialogue and writing are preferred. Also you may recommend stories that are just plain entertaining or escapist, things to lighten and distract her mind. We would be very grateful.
