Hello.
I just started a new job about 3.5 months ago.
In my offer letter, I was told I was expected to receive my PE license within 6 months of hire.
Within the first month of working, I did tell my boss I was planning on taking my exam soon.
I just took it today and pretty sure I failed.
This will make it practically impossible to receive my PE within the given timeframe they told me.
Has anyone been in this situation?
Should I get ready to get let go?

Hey everyone, I just took my first practice test on LawHub (PT140– scored a 157). I had 3-8 questions unfilled at the end of each section and had to randomly guess before time ran out. I’ve only been studying for a couple days (read the first four chapters of The LSAT Trainer), but I’m already feeling discouraged about finishing on time while maintaining accuracy.
1. How did you improve your timing on the LSAT? Any specific drills or strategies that worked for you? 2. Would hiring a tutor be worth it for improving speed and efficiency? I don’t really have the money to but I guess it’d be an investment. Would appreciate any advice—thanks!

okay, so something like likes obviously isn't too important, but i really wanted to share my experience because i never had something work so quickly before!
so, for context, i posted something on my tiktok account earlier this week. my posts generally do well by my standards, but in the first few hours it seemed like this post wasn't getting the attention i thought it would. of course, i started getting worried that this would affect my analytics or algorithm (i don't really know how anything works, but that never stopped me from worrying). usually, when this happens, i give up and let things turn out as i think they would turn out, but i wanted to see if there was something i could actually do to change the suspected outcome (poor results).
i started saying aloud "okay, i hear you. anyway..." aloud whenever i thought something like "it's only at 500 likes at this hour instead of _" i kept doing that until eventually i was focused on something else and going about my day as peacefully as i could. then, whenever i would occasionally think of the post, i would try to evoke feelings of excitement. that didn't work well for me though LMAO because it felt artificial. i don't really know what influenced me to do this, but afterward i got fed up with trying to change things and how i felt, so i ended up talking to myself in the mirror like i was in an interview. i explained aloud that i was worried at first and why, but then on these certain days and at these certain times, my post suddenly blew up because blah blah blah, and it suddenly got 600k likes. it felt more authentic for me to just pretend i was being interviewed about it! i ended up leaving the post alone (tiktok not being on my phone helped too). and the last time i checked, it actually a bunch of likes i was kinda baffled!!
but i was super happy over it, mostly because i nevel that many likes before, and it really boosted my account!

- Eddy Thorpe says like his people have for centuries, he has been overlooked in NXT. A great man will exercise his mind to suffering, harden his nature and improve wherever he has loss. Other can write him off but he didn't write that and NXT will understand that Eddy Thorpe cannot be broken.
- It's time for the Grayson Waller Effect, Waller welcomes us to the show and asks for a shout out for Atlanta's own Austin Theory. Theory says he partied hard last night but they're continuing tonight and Waller welcomes out his guest Oba Femi. Oba takes a seat and Waller says in less than two years on NXT he is already NXT Champion and the longest reigning North American Champion. Theory says Oba started NXT at 24 and has been taking over and it reminds him a bit of someone. As the youngest United States Champion Austin says a lot of guys see Oba as a main eventer on the main roster but the two of them don't see that at all. Oba asks if they invited him on their show just to say they don't see his potential when the truth is he never saw Theory or Waller as NXT Champion and he was right. Waller says last year the two of them were standing atop a ladder as new WWE Tag Team Champions while Oba was in his private box with the rest of NXT wishing and praying to make it to their level. Theory says they've seen guys like Oba Femi plenty of times before, they come to the main roster with lots of hype only to end up in catering and get released in 6 months. Oba says for all they say and do he doesn't see any titles for them. Their problem is their mouths, they write checks their hands can't cash. Meanwhile he is here building a dynasty brick by brick. He says if Theory and Waller like title opportunities and the big moments so much then in two weeks at Vengence Day he'll put the title on the line against either one of them. Ava makes her way out and we see a split screen of Trick Williams making his way out as well. Ava says Oba doesn't make the matches around here, she does, Trick comes out and interrupts and tells Ava that title is his and she knows it before going face to face with Oba. Austin tries to attack but Trick takes him out and throws Theory and Waller to the outside. As Trick turns back to Oba he gets hit by the Fall From Grace right before his match agaisnt Wes Lee.
- Izzy Dame is interviewed, she says she's sure everyone wants to know what's going on with her and Tony D'Angelo but she hates to disappoint and says nothing is going on, they just have similar enemies and since he helped her deal with Shawn Spears she helped him. Ridge Holland interrupts and says there's something more going on for sure and that if it wasn't for her he'd be North American Champion right now. Stacks runs in and tells Ridge to back off as Ridge asks him if shouldn't he be busy shining Tony's car or something right now.
- Oba Femi walks into Ava's office after Trick snaps during his match and says it looks like she has a problem. Ava says Oba is the one with the problem since he can't figure it out that she's the one who makes matches not him. She informs Oba that at Vengence Day it will be him vs Austin Theory and Grayson Waller in a triple threat before going off to talk to Trick.
- Ava storms around backstage looking for Trick and finds him in the locker room and asks him what the hell is wrong with him the past few weeks. Trick says this is what happens when you lose a title and don't even get another shot at it and ask what Waller and Theory did to deserve it. Ava tells Trick if he wants a shot so badly then he can face Waller and Theory in a tag match next week, and his partner will be Oba Femi.
- Stephanie Vaquer confronts Fallon Henley after her title defense and stares her down as it is announced that Fallon will defend her title against Stephanie at Vengence Day.
- Backstage Karmen Petrovich thanks Kelani Jordan for helping her last week but Karmen says that isn't what she was out there for, she wanted her own revenge on Jaida Parker. She tells Karmen that she can hear it from her or anyone else in the locker room and believe it or not but Ashante is going to leave her and walks off. Karmen says what a bitch.
- Ava is interviewed, she doesn't know what the hell has gotten into Trick but he better get over it soon because she's sick of it. Ava says on a more positive note, NXT has the best Women's Division in the world and is about to announce Guilia's next opponent when she is interrupted by Roxanne Perez who says she's the reason the division is this good and asks if she's really going to give Bayley a title shot just because of one match which Cora lost mind you. Ava tells her to listen for a second and announces that Guilia will be defending against Bayley and Roxanne Perez, good? Rox says they're good and goes to leave but Cora says they aren't good.
- Following his victory Ethan Page removes the bottom turnbuckle to try and do further damage to Cedric but Je'Von Evans returns and rushes the ring attacking Ethan and sends him packing.
- Backstage Fallon Henley says how dare Stephanie take away her moment of celebrating her title defense as Jacy Interrupts her and says Steph needs to show the North American Champion some respect. Fallon say Vaquer is going to learn some respect at Vengeance Day but next week she's going to learn from Jacy.
- Briggs says Inamura welcomed him with open arms when he went to Japan and so he wanted to return the favor and welcomes him to his home by offering him a leather vest. Inamura thanks him and says now they look like a real tag team, he says that Briggs originally wanted to be on his own but together they will make him champion and Fraxiom can't hide.
- As the show goes off the air we see a WWE Test card but the text is deleted and replaced with Vengeance Day.

2025.01.29 03:01 pvm_april I’m a guy who has a lot going for him but I feel miserable. How do I fix my life?
Things going for me: I’m in my late 20’s and 6’0 moderately attractive with ~300k in assets and a six figure job.
Things bad with me: I’m anxious of socializing and a lot of it comes from habit I picked up after a loved one died, COVID, and just not wanting anyone to see my family drama. I have 3 friends and of those friends none live in my state anymore. I was used to just hanging/chatting with my gf but she’s been on a world traveling trip with her family for the past year since feb 2024. Honestly I don’t know how I feel anymore about our relationship, I know she loves me but I don’t like how she treats me or this weird beef her family has with me. Since she’s been gone I’ve definitely noticed I’m not that important when she’s busy having fun. I’ve let her know how I feel but at this point nothings changed and I don’t feel romantically in love with her. I still love her as a person and I don’t want to see her sad and it feels impossible to leave even though I don’t think we’ll be happy.
Ive lived at home since COVID with my mom and sister. Mom has a ton of health issues, and makes really irresponsible choices that cause more stress exacerbating her health issues. Sister in her 30’s has no job and very few career prospects, yet refuses to do anything about it (look for a job, think about her future, pursue education). Even though she’s extremely talented she has a lack of drive and an attitude problem. Grandma has Alzheimer’s and it is hell taking care of her. Nursing facilities provide horrible care and after injuries she had when trying it out we decided it wasn’t an option. I don’t sleep well due to stress of all this shit around me but I can’t leave either because they need me. The stress has manifested itself through constant acne, tight muscles, teeth grinding, etc.
I feel trapped and have no clue how to fix these parts of my life and that freaks me out. I wonder why did I work so hard just to feel miserable like this.

My wife and I are both 44 and looking to work until 49. The challenge is funding 49-59.5. I know everyones situation is complicated, and I have not had much luck with trying to find how to best maximize ours. Here's where we are:
480k owed on a house valued around 700k @ 2.25% interest is our only debt
No student loans, and college for college aged children covered via 529 and other benefits. Empty nesters.
$90k/year tax free VA benefits and healthcare- We want to supplement this with an additional $48k/year
Currently putting $4k/month into 401k to get match with the rest going into SWPPX Schwab Account
Both our Roth IRAs/401k are around 300k combined (Intelligent portfolio)
250k combined Traditional IRAs (Intelligent portfolio)
100k in SoFi HYSA, and contributing $4k/month
Currently earning 300k, and want to work 6 more years
Which accounts should we fund for now in order to have that $48k/year between the ages of 49-59? Knowing we will go from a high to a low tax bracket with our $90k/year non taxable, what's the best option? For now I am just planning to live off HYSA until it's time to take $$$ out of the retirement accounts.
