2025.01.30 07:09 ExplorerAcademic1289 Nest vs. Trane: Is My Thermostat Really the Problem?
We had 2 new Trane XR15 heat pump systems put in. We kept the same Nest learning thermostats from our previous Carrier systems. The downstairs unit is a 4 ton heat pump with propane backup while the up stairs unit is 3 ton straight heat pump.
When the temp outside is in th 40s, the downstairs unit runs much longer than the up stairs unit in straight heat pump mode. For example, the upstairs unit runs about 30 minutes to reach temperature while the downstairs unit can run up to 2 plus hours to reach temperature or until I drop the thermostat down to get the system to shut off. The HVAC techs have yet to figure out why. They're quick to blame the Nest thermostat but it worked fine on the old systems. The freon levels are good. They've tried adjusting the fan speed of the furnace but the hasn't resolved the issue. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

That about sums it up. They want to play a full screen logo animation that never makes its way to the header, just sits idle full screen.
The header / menu bar on every other page has logo in top left corner and pages on right. So the home page just has a blank space where the logo should be.
I expressed, very professionally, my recommendation against this and offered several alternatives. I even created a few concepts on my own time of ways to play the animation full screen and have it land in the header before you scroll on. But no, they’re not having it.
This is insane right? or am I overreacting?

Hey guys! So I finally finished writing my 5 extracurricular activities for Schulich and since the video said that they will be using an AI checker, I wanted to make sure mine doesn’t show up as AI generated so I started checking mine as well. I’ve checked on around 5-10 sites and it ranges anywhere from 0% to 100%! I’m soo confused on why this is happening. I have completely written it myself and they are activities that I have actually done, not just something I found on the web. I have even tried taking out some complex words and make it sound more human but it’s still varies site by site. Is this something to worry about? How else can I humanly write 😭 it was already written by a human!!! I would really appreciate your guys advice and if something similar has happened to you guys. Thanks!

My Visa Stamp expired in 2021, and I switched multiple jobs in between, so I decided to opt for the Interview process even though I was eligible for Drop Box.
VAC interview on 1/22 @ 3.00 PM, In my experience, don't come too early 15 minutes should suffice. Locker is next to the VAC office and only cost 50 rupees for 2 phones. VAC staff reviewed the Appointment letter and DS160 multiple times. Please make sure your passport information reflects correct Name etc...
Consulate interview on 1/23 @ 10.45 AM, same thing here try to come around 15 minutes early. It took almost an hour after going through multiple queues. The office asks a couple of usual questions: what's your designation, Salary, Education, and Job Duties.
I opt for Premium delivery and I picked up my passport from Blue Dart 1/29 @ 5.00 PM.
Over all the VAC and consular interview process was smooth. Don't panic, if your case if is legit then you should be good to go. I am happy to answer if anybody has H1B-related questions or concerns. This community helped me a lot and now it's my time to pay back!!!!!
