I saw so many students’ posts on here talking abt depression and mental health issues in stony. I completely understand and feel sad at the same time, especially as out of state/ international students.
Pls don’t neglect ur feelings, the issues are important to both ur physical and academic well beings. Do everything u can to make urself feel better, even if it include stepping out of ur comfort zone to socialize, because connecting with others does help even if ur an introvert.
Go explore the surrounding, take the lirr and Amtrak when u get the chance to, sticking on stony campus can be very isolating.
Reach out to loved/ trusted ones, don’t push urself too hard. University course load can be super stressful, especially with the pressure and expectations for those who pay the out of state tuition. Know ur limits and take ur time, having a bad exam isn’t the end of the world, but it’s to learn ur lesson and self improve.
Everything will turn out ok. Have faith in yourself. It’s okay if you can’t do it, take your time and take care of yourself. And know that someone out there is waiting to love you. Have a good semester💪

I am noob and my home course has several holes with a cliff to your right on a few holes, usually with a good headwind. I've thrown a few discs over and decided to climb to the bottom looking for discs. I've found quite a few unmarked discs, with marked discs being returned.
My bag is on slide 3, I already throw the boss, but what other discs would it be worth adding to my bag? Mostly I intend on using these on holes i risk losing discs on.
I throw standstills only, about 300ish, with my max distance being the boss on a flex line.

Sabi ko wala ko 500 pero extra 200 meron. He took it. I asked for his ID and contact number just in case para mahabol ko sya (katangahan on my part, I know). Akala ko legit talaga kasi meron pa syang ID ng company kung san sya nag-i-intern.
Turns out, I got scammed 🙂
After few days, meron naman lumapit sakin na “taga-call center” rin daw para mangutang. Sa Glorietta naman nangyari to. Of course, that time, di na ko nagpautang.

Back in the day (like 25 years ago!!!), I worked at Acoustic Guitar magazine and edited their Q&A column. One of the most common questions we got was "how can I get better at memorizing songs. All those years later, these are the 5 tips that I've kept using and that work for me. Once I became a teacher, I started to learn a bit about the brain science behind why they work.

Focus on one phrase at a time.
Play it slowly, aim for perfection. You remember what you do, so you want to lock the right notes into your neural pathways.
Start with the last phrase, then keep adding phrases before it. This way, you are always playing toward the part you know best. (This is the one I do the least, but it really does work.)
Work on one phrase for a short period of time, then take a short break. This allows your brain to organize and store the information.
Over a practice session, periodically return to whatever you've just learned. This is known as retrieval practice: by forcing your brain to remember something it's about to forget, it helps lock new information into long-term memory. (The Pimsleur foreign-language learning method is based on this.)
