First pregnancy, planned. Healthy mother + father. Normal blood work and normal ultrasound at 6 Weeks 5 days (measuring 1 day behind and heart rate 126). 10 week appointment with doctor I mentioned that I started to feel like myself again starting at 8.5 weeks after experiencing extreme exhaustion and have no morning sickness. Doctor proceeds to check baby’s heart rate on baby doppler which takes 3+ minutes for her to look for and explains that my veins are prominent and that they can hear the baby’s heartbeat in combination with mine. I personally did not hear heartbeat and they reassured me it was present. She proceeded to draw blood for NIPT/genetic screening. 5 days later I end up waking up with bleeding, cramping and diarrhea where I go to the doctor 4 hours later where they confirmed thru ultrasound no heartbeat and missed miscarriage measuring at 7 weeks.
Doctor completely misdiagnosed missed miscarriage by not ordering ultrasound when they couldn’t properly hear the heartbeat at 10 weeks and proceeded to tell me that me and my baby were healthy.
The bleeding and cramping started on a Monday so I opted to wait and see if baby passed naturally since my body was already in process,but scheduled D&C for that Friday in case nothing happened. I bleed all week and had mild cramps. Thursday night I had horrible contractions and passed a big sac plus 6 or 7 big clots. The cramping and bleeding stopped by the morning. The doctor called and said I probably passed everything and that D&C wasn’t required, but I persisted I needed an ultrasound that day to confirm everything passed.
I had ultrasound that afternoon and there was still a large sac and baby was still inside of me. I now had in incomplete miscarriage where I ended up having an emergency D&C that night at 11 weeks 3 days.
4 days after D&C, I just got back that my baby is high risk for Trisomy 13.
With this being my first pregnancy, every doctor appointment (inclusive of 10 week appointment) the doctors reassured me that I was a low risk pregnancy and that I was healthy and that I probably wouldn’t even see doctors, just midwife’s since I feel into that category. I truly believe that the doctors overlooked me since I was healthy and could have diagnosed this earlier. Thoughts?

I remember feeling the most connected to her when I wrote a research essay "You don't hate sex workers you hate the patriarchy" and it was about how the "violence to women" that most people that participate in purity culture claim happens in SW is a direct reflection of the exploitation of women in our society in general. I truly believe that she's the reason that I was able to write it through.
Before anything the goddess of love is an intellectual. Matters off the heart and the body require an immense amount of emotional intelligence that not only comes from deep internalized introspection, but also critical thinking and an understanding of the human mind and how the society we live in interacts with things that concern the heart and sex.
I think the reason why Aphrodite was so venerated and worshipped by sex workers is because she saw them. Because they -as well as the old, children, homeless people, and the disabled- are ignored in a society that actively skips over them yet uses them. Though they refuse to acknowledge that the violence inflicted on them (SWs) is the mirror the world is reflected upon. Society does not like what it sees
And just like Aphrodite as her followers we should bring this love for the other and the marginalized. Its not just compliments and hearts with frills on top. No. NO. remember the war aspect? Yes remember that she demands you be fierce with your kindness. Th
at deep unwavering feeling of love you feel for Humanity, Animals, and the earth that (possibly) pushes you to protest, share, argue, beg, laugh and more.
Being kind and loving isn't easy it's grueling it's painful, it's unforgiving but it's necessary. But every tear of sadness, sweat, or blood remember those are to her, Oh beautiful Aphrodite. She's not here to just make you pretty or make that one guy/ girl like you. She's here to metamorphose you into the butterfly you deserve to be. And that's not easy.

Idk I’m not tryna start a fight or be edgy and I feel like I always post the same thing lol. I genuinely just want to understand why no one can seem to communicate well or be good at interpersonal relationships save with like, their partner MAYBE. I was taught to be very considerate of others and I wonder if others weren’t or if at some point most ppl realize they’d rather forget those lessons. OR maybe there is something fundamentally wrong with me that prevents me from being likable and almost no one except wretched bog creatures like me feels the same. All I know is that I’m the one who has to do the heavy lifting in my friendships, and ppl seem to forget about me if I’m not right in front of them. I know I should probably just match their energy and ghost but I really want friends and there are ppl I really like being around who just don’t seem to feel strongly about me one way or the other. Coming up on my son’s first birthday in a matter of days, and not sure what to expect - he was born suddenly at 30+0 due to placental abruption & precipitous labor, and had we gotten to the hospital even 5 min later he and I probably would have died (he was footling breech but got a foot out before I was even on the bed, and had to be resuscitated after he came out).
Both my husband and I have a lot of PTSD from that day and for my part, I still have flashbacks and struggle with the fact that I can’t remember a lot of the actual birth, nor did it go anything how I had expected or hoped, and we almost lost our son on top of all that. One of my clearest memories of the whole thing is sitting alone in recovery while hubby was in the NICU (at my request) with our son, thinking “wtf just happened??” My husband, for his part, saw our son come out not breathing, saw me screaming and in pain during delivery, and thought he was going to lose both of us.
Our son is doing great now, but as we come up on his birthday my husband and I are anxious about what to expect for how we’ll feel that day and wondering if we’ll have more flashbacks. For those with traumatic deliveries - how did the first birthday go? Any strategies for coping? (We do have therapists and are both on medication for anxiety/depression, which helps.)

Did not like what I read of The Wheel of Time. And I have tried to get into Discord several times, but no luck there.
