2025.01.30 06:51 Mundane_Oven6816 Considering Options

I'm a clinically licensed MSW based in the US. Despite living in one of the "safer" states I'm really feeling like a change may be a good choice at this point for myself and my family. Canada seems like a good option, especially since SW is in demand.
I have been in a variety of different areas of the field for the 15+ years of my career. From working with those who are severely mentally ill to medical social work to hospice and now into private practice.
Can you tell me what working within the healthcare system is like for social workers? I realize that there is probably a ton of variation throughout the country, for a variety of reasons. Basically, I'm looking for pros/cons at the point. Things like average caseloads, job expectations, things I wouldn't think to ask, etc?

The Land of "Democracy" (But Only If Mods Agree). Reddit is biased.
Unable to post in main biased subs, that's why posting here. Mods of these subs. Please don't delete it. It's the reality of big subs.
I was also a mod of a few big subs but left them because of the bias of a few top people.
Reddit loves to call itself the “front page of the internet,” but let’s be honest—it's more like a gated community where a few mods hold the keys. Ever noticed how the same handful of people run multiple subs? No matter where you go, the same names keep popping up, controlling the narrative like self-appointed internet overlords.
Say something against their favorite college? Post gone. Mention a politician they don’t like? Vanished into the void. And the best part? They won’t even tell you—just a silent purge, like your opinion never existed. I tested this across multiple subs, different accounts—same result every time.
But here’s what really takes the cake: People who’ve never stepped foot in college are mods of education subs. Gym bros who don’t know the difference between a squat and a deadlift are running fitness subs. It's like making a person who’s never touched a football the referee of the World Cup.
I get it—some level of moderation is necessary. But why should a handful of biased individuals decide what gets seen and what doesn’t? Reddit needs an automated system that ensures an equal platform for everyone, not a digital kingdom ruled by power-hungry mods.
Time to stop pretending Reddit is fair. It’s not.
(This post will probably be deleted soon, proving my point. If you're reading this, congrats—you caught a glimpse of free speech before the mods could kill it.)

2025.01.30 06:51 peoplearescum177 Has anyone ever modded a Ibanez XPTB720 Iron Label 7-String into a prestiegeish scale guitar ?

Hey just wondering if anyone has ever modded a Ibanez XPTB720 Iron Label 7-String into a prestiegeish scale guitar. People have had a tonne of issues with the Edge-zero2 tremolo, just wondering if there is a better bridge you could replace it with and how much it would cost ? and overall what changes would i need to make to the guitar to make it prestiege level ? I love the shape and there is no prestiege or anything higher in terms of quality.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Cheers

2025.01.30 06:51 implausiblepeanut Thank Goodness for Episode Nagi (Yes, the manga AND the movie)

Yes, this is appreciation for both EpiNagi works.
Have you:

If you said yes to any of the above, you should watch then read Episode Nagi!
Do people need to engage with Episode Nagi to understand the main series? No. But, Episode Nagi is meant for people who are even a little bit curious about what more the Blue Lock series can offer.
The spinoff is planned to alternatively merge and deviate from the main story, and it contains amazing artwork, entertainment, and incredible character context.
Plus, for the NEL saga (and probably after long after that), I think that a lot of main-series-only people are going to have a hard time fully understanding the depth of Reo and Nagi's connection--a connection which is NOT to be taken lightly. While people can probably fill in some gaps themselves, EpiNagi is there to confirm or heavily imply characterizations, rather than just plot.
If you're an anime-only fan, first watch the movie, as I think that it's most effective for that audience. Sadly, there were some enjoyable moments which were skipped, but at least it made reading the manga more interesting. Even if you've only read the spinoff, the animation and voice acting (sub AND dub) are great, and there's some new OST to enjoy. Nagi & Reo are the stars, and they got their glow-up (especially Reo).
Please watch + read EpiNagi before proceeding!
Movie Easter Eggs:

The gold and silver cleats
Characters whom I love (or love more) because of EpiNagi: KARASU:
His sharpness makes him a strong player, so it's no wonder that he was the center midfielder in U-20 vs BL. He gets further development in the current chapters of the main series.
Karasu's pretty cool
KIYORA:
This tiny guy's moves are enjoyable to watch, and I can take him more seriously in the main series.
Breakdancing...!
CHIGIRI:
He's not only a top-tier player, a good strategist, and caring friend who gives solid advice from a seemingly objective point of view. He's not only a crucial player, but he's a solid playmaker, serving as the lynchpin for most of the 4 vs 4 match.
ZANTETSU:
Zantetsu deserves better. He's an endearing comic relief character, with a powerful weapon and an interesting reason for playing soccer.
Gotta love how his mind works
In the game of tag, he proves to be clever and quick-witted.
When Kuon tried to persuade Team V, of the three, only Zantetsu's objection was from a moral standpoint. ("There is no merit at all in what you are proposing.")
After Kuon tackled Nagi, Zantetsu held Reo back, reminding him that he had already had a yellow card after chopping Raichi in the throat (this also saved Kuon from getting another beatdown).
In the spinoff: Initially, Nagi kind of wanted to pawn Zantetsu off to Reo so that Nagi wouldn't have to work hard. Quickly enough, though, Nagi and Zantetsu affirm each other and have an easy camaraderie.
Zantetsu is a true bro
In the manga, I actually like that Zantetsu wasn't swayed by Reo's charm. To Zantetsu, Reo was just one more person who looked down upon him, so he had every right to not personally like Reo. Thankfully, he was agreeable enough to work with Nagi and Reo to win the matches.
NAGI:
During the first watch of Season 1, the highest opinion that I had for Nagi was him being a cool, powerful ally for Isagi. But, I doubted how real the relationship was for Nagi and Reo, thinking that he was cold for leaving him in Second Selection. After the 3 vs 3 match, I thought that Nagi was justified in leaving him and calling him a pain.
Thanks to EpiNagi, it's clear that he's a thoughtful partner for Reo, genuinely caring about their dream to the point of taking the initiatives in making the promise to stay together and then teaming up with Isagi. Even though it was a mixture of selfishly searching for what excited him, the primary reason that he parted from Reo was for the benefit of winning the World Cup. In his Light Novel, he was always pursued by high school sports clubs because of his height, and Nagi always shrugged them off until they stopped. Even though Reo had to persist in wrangling him, at any point Nagi could have walked away from the Hakuho team or exited Blue Lock. It speaks volumes of his curiosity in his own transformation and his attachment to Reo by staying, then willingly making progress. Before entering Blue Lock, Reo assured Nagi that he wouldn't be left behind.
If anyone knows, please answer this:>! Why did Nagi make that promise with Reo? I know it was an amazing sign of friendship, but is there another reason? (just curious)!<
The terrific trio
Thanks to the spinoff, we know for sure that because Reo's brain was shutting down, Nagi's kicked into overdrive during Team V vs Team Z. When Reo finally realized that their team could lose, Nagi's ego was fully unlocked, trying to save Reo and their dream from death.
\"Even though it's a pain...\"
In contrast to every other person who made it obvious how quickly they liked Reo, Nagi is completely different in ways that don't just relate to his soccer abilities (who straight up asks for money from a virtual stranger in the first 10 seconds of meeting them?) Personality-wise, Nagi's brand of brutal honesty is hilarious, because he clearly can't be bothered to care about offending people (except for when he left Reo).
In spite of Nagi's nature, he became friends with Reo, entered a thrilling life in comparison to his previous purgatory, awakened his ego, feels strong emotions, and made even more friends.
Business partners to best friends
Kaneshiro is right when he says that the audience will keep asking, "What is he???" Because of his lack of outward emotions and monotone, it's intriguing to look into his thought processes and developments. It's almost 300 chapters into the main story (nearly 320 with EpiNagi), and no one knows who Nagi really is - not even Nagi himself. Hence, the reason he has an alien emoji sticker / stuffed alien.
Seriously, what is he?
REO:
By the end of watching Season 1, Reo was near the bottom of my list. But after watching and reading Episode Nagi? Reo is undoubtedly one of the most well-written and misunderstood characters of Blue Lock. I can go on about why I like him, but here's the (not quite) summary.
In the main series, we don't get a full picture of how amazing Reo is. For Team V vs Team Z, we're rooting for Isagi as he struggles in a seemingly-impossible match, plus Nagi steals a lot of the limelight. In the 3 vs 3, Reo's skills are the stabilizer; unfortunately, they're kind of overshadowed by his brain going haywire due to heartbreak. Until the BL vs U-20 selection, we see him score only ONE goal--which was great and had emotional impact--but his team still lost.
It was hard to be empathetic when he seemed too desperate for Nagi's attention.
Episode Nagi showcases Reo's drive, intellect, and likability--especially in the manga. Reo was the heart of Hakuho and Team V: Despite both teams starting from zero, Hakuho and Team V became formidable victors because of Reo's soccer IQ, balanced skills, and linking up with Nagi.
Look at this guy. It was inevitable that Nagi stayed with him.
With Nagi's nudging, Reo advised Zantetsu to use his left-curving kick from the right side of the field. During the *RAT-BIN battle in the main series, the first time that Nagi ever makes a suggestion for playing was a triangle-formation while moving up the field. That was actually one of the tactics that Reo used to defeat DaDaDa.
*(Rin, Aryu, Tokimitsu vs Bachira, Isagi, Nagi)
Team BIN triangle formation against Team RAT
Hakuho's triangle formation against DaDaDa
For his personality, Reo's extremely charming and his expressiveness makes him fun to watch, especially when playing off Nagi's laziness and passivity.
Reo's definitely \"cheeky,\" as described in his Light Novel. He & Nagi have a great dynamic.
At first, I had thought that Nagi and Reo's partnership was superficial or rigged in the latter's favor. In truth, since the beginning their partnership has been balanced. Nagi gets showered with praise, pampering, and off-field piggybacks; Reo gets a more optimal path to the World Cup and has on-field "piggybacks" when Nagi scores. Nagi trains to stay fit, and makes instinctual goals; Reo plans and lays all the groundwork. Nagi shows off his genius as effortlessly as he can; Reo takes pride in having discovered his "treasure."
Nagi knows which buttons to push to get what he wants without even having to ask.
Give and take
As Nagi said: Reo is a weirdo. From the start, Reo played into Nagi's curiosity, telling him that he's fine the way that he is. After Nagi agrees to play, Reo's adaptability to Nagi's habits is completely different from the world's expectations--and probably even his own. Instead of seeing the lackadaisical giant as a hindrance, Reo thinks of him as the perfect partner and easy to have fun with. Neither of them probably expected an actual friendship to be born.
These adorable dummies are a destined duo.
One of my favorite moments of the movie was learning that Reo's a good friend and good person (most characters in Blue Lock are, but I love having the proof for him).
Fell hard:
\"...your eyes were twinkling like a little kid's.\"
Then fell harder:
Someone, please help him understand.
Became one with the earth:
\"I wish I'd never known...\"
Knowing that he was genuinely happy for his friend's breakthrough, while simultaneously having a heartbreak because Reo didn't think that he lit that fire in Nagi to become excited about soccer. All the while, he had pushed that disappointment down in the hopes that he wouldn't hinder Nagi's self-discovery. How are those not a powerfully relatable sentiments?
It's unclear whether 8-Bit plans for a one-time commitment or will revisit animating the rest of the spinoff.
Things that the movie cut out:
Despite the missing parts, I'm glad overall that the movie was made. Great production and talent, and it naturally led me to reading the spinoff.
So, yeah, please enjoy Episode Nagi!

2025.01.30 06:51 Sufficient-Quit3419 Random person found my phone number

I (18f) had a random person (i’ll call him John Smith) add me on snapchat a while ago. I only use it to talk to close friends so i didn’t add them back and just ignored the friend request. Today, I got a message from a random number that just said “Hi” and when i opened iMessage it labeled the contact as “Maybe: John Smith”. I’m really freaked out about how he got my number and just who they are. I looked him up on instagram and it said he had a verified account with like 3,000 followers and that he was located not too far from where i’m from (I go to college about two hours away so i’m not to worried about proximity at this point). I’m just wondering if i’m overreacting and maybe this is just a scam? Is it possible he got my number similar to like how a Telemarketer does? Also how would he know it’s my number when all he did was add me on Snapchat? I’m just wondering what I should do and if blocking the number is enough, as i don’t know what other precautions to take in this scenario.

Dallas Mavericks 137 - 136 New Orleans Pelicans
Fuente: ESPN.
Minnesota Timberwolves 121 - 113 Phoenix Suns
