Found it curled up in a coconut ball with soaking wet bedding 😭 cried all the way home with him
Brought the little guy home and I'm keeping him/her (don't want to pick it up to check the sex as I want it to just be warm and safe and calm for now)
Thankfully for the hamster, I have had plenty of them before. I haven't had one for a couple of years as I got to sad whenever they died 🥺 but I guess I have another one now
Name suggestions needed, and any advice on care, as I've been out the game for a while and mostly had Syrians, not dwarfs!

Hi all! Here is the promised update on the little hamster I rescued after being abandoned in the woods
🎀She🎀 is doing great. I made a little video compilation but I'm having issues uploading it, so here are some pics
I named her Bean because she is literally just a little bean
She spent all night running about and playing and exploring. She's in great health despite her 3 night, freezing cold ordeal. I'm pretty sure she's quite young!
She's bold, friendly and just the sweetest little hammy. I don't know how anyone could have done what they did to her.
I spent quite a bit of money sorting her the most optimal set up I could, for now! I'll add to it as the weeks go on
Long may Bean live and enjoy her new, warm, safe home for the rest of her little life

Hi all!
Just wanted to update you all on little Bean, the hamster I found abandoned in her cage in the woods. You can see the original 2 posts about her above
Someone in a local Facebook group told me the bags she had been in had been out there for at least 3 nights. Hard to believe she even survived, as it was freezing cold. I'm still so upset about it.
Anyway, she seems to have forgotten about her horrible start to life. She is very happy here, getting lots of treats and toys
She really enjoys digging tunnels and wrecking the joint, just girly things 🎀
She also responds to my voice and comes to the bars every day for a dried wormy. She sticks out her tongue out really far and licks the bars until I give her one. It's very silly.
She isn't really a fan of me trying to pet her rn and honestly that's completely fair. She's living her best life and that's all that matters to me. If she just wants to vibe out that's cool with me ❤️
Thank you all so much for your kindness towards Bean. It meant so much to know that there are so many lovely souls out there, and if she could understand, she would probably feel like one of the most loved hamsters in the world
Quite a few people asked to contribute, which was very sweet. Bean will always get everything she needs from me, ofc, so zero people are obligated (I would feel really icky doing that!!), but a lot of people wanted to off their own backs, and I respect that.
I set her up a little Bean Amazon wishlist if anyone wanted to contribute a little something to her ongoing care. Obviously no pressure at all! She will be looked after regardless. But if you do really want to do that, then feel free. She will love it

2025.01.29 06:01 bengalbear24 I miss him so much even though he was emotionally abusive. This feels horrific 💔
I feel that this was the right thing to do but it hurts SO much right now and I feel as though I just made the biggest mistake of my life and lost my best friend in the world. I cannot stop thinking about all the incredible memories we shared. All the times we went backpacking, camping, adventures, how he loved animals, the movies we watched, the times we were silly and having fun. The jokes and laughs we shared, the way he accepted me despite having chronic health issues and age (I’m in my early 30s, so no longer young). There were SO many good memories, and when he was nice, he was so sweet. We shared SO many interests, values, and perspectives on a deep connection and it really felt as though we were soulmates. The only thing we didn’t share is the belief that it’s ok to emotionally abuse people you love.
We were together for 4 years, and during that time he had emotionally abusive episodes about once every 4-6 weeks on average. His parents were abusive and he had impulse control problems and trauma, so I could always understand where it was coming from and therefore always forgave him even though I begged him so many times to treat me better and get professional help. He was reluctant to admit he had an abuse problem until the very end when we took a break and he finally acknowledged his behaviors were abusive. During his episodes, he would yell/scream at me, call me terrible vile names, dump me or threaten to dump me, act as though he hated me, broke stuff in the apartment and threw things around (not at me, but in the room). One time he tried to abandon me in an unfamiliar location without my belongings and another time when I was about to leave after an emotional abuse episode, he took a knife and threatened to kill himself in front of me.
I know that objectively speaking, these behaviors are awful and I would tell any friend or loved one to leave if she experienced that. But I can’t help but feel this is different in some way, because of how much I love him and how many good times we have shared. I’ve thought for a long time that if only he weren’t abusive, he would be my dream husband and life partner. That’s why I stayed so long and gave him so many chances, because I genuinely really loved him on a deep level, despite the abuse. I wanted so badly for him to change and stop abusing me.
We were on a “break” for about a month before breaking up last night, and only since then has he admitted that he’s been abusive and promised to go to therapy (individual therapy and couples therapy). He’s also mediating daily and doing CBT/DBT workbooks. I’m glad he’s doing that but I’m also so upset and angry that he didn’t do this years ago when I asked him to stop hurting me. He proposed to me a year and a half ago and we postponed our marriage because I told him I did not want my husband and the father of my children to have these anger management and behavioral issues. He agreed he would “work on it” but never actively did anything besides saying he would “try harder” to not rage at me (which didn’t work). He was very reluctant to see a psychologist or couples therapist. In some ways his behaviors got a little bit better (he didn’t call me names as much), but in other ways they stayed the same/got worse (he started throwing and breaking things more).
I really, really want to go back right now. I may be able to find a man who’s emotionally stable and not abusive, but I seriously doubt I’ll ever find a man who is as passionate, shares as many of my interests, or connects with me deeper than him. Or perhaps I’ll find a man who’s even more abusive. Most men are either uninterested in me, or uninteresting to me. Before dating him, I went on dozens of first dates and they all either rejected me or I found them boring/didn’t connect with them. I keep thinking perhaps I was being dramatic and maybe it wasn’t that bad.
This is the hardest breakup I’ve ever been through (the breakup with my ex before him was pretty easy for me since he cheated and I was repulsed by him towards the end). I would have thought that ending an abusive relationship would be a relief but so far it’s nothing but a terrible heartbreak and grief. I miss my best friend so much and I wish things were different…and I am already considering giving him another chance and taking him back.

So a week or so ago I posted how my co worker was going behind my back to management and stuff.
Well on Monday morning before she knows I had even ordered boxes on the Friday before (when she wasn't at work) she has emailed management and complained that I have ordered boxes which we need to use for packing and suggested that she now decides when to order and to give the ordering to someone else!!!
Everyday she is emailing management and complaining about something I do or have done.
I am keeping my mouth shut right now and logging all of this but as of so far NO management has come back to me after her complaints.

I noticed when I turn it on I can't play dv remux files i always get the stremio "error code failed runtime check" and changes my player to VLC and turned it to HDR. I rather play dolby vision it's much more better than hdr. So I'm wondering if it affects the video quality when it's on or off

Should I buy a used 2020 Lexus RC F or a new 2024 Volvo V60 Polestar Engineered?
I love both cars, and each has its own pros and cons. The Lexus’ V8 is absolutely irresistible, and the RC F’s reliability is a huge plus. On the other hand, the Volvo is a wagon—who doesn’t love wagons? It’s also a plug-in hybrid, meaning better fuel efficiency, and it’s just as fast if not faster than the RC F.

2025.01.29 06:01 Regziel I like the game.
Considering all of the negative posts going up, I just wanted to say I've enjoyed the game so far.
Yes, it's different than the classic OMD we all know and love, and yes, there's obviously still some kinks to work out. Personally, I really like the challenge of figuring out how to approach each map and debuff, and it's a breath of fresh air to not have the go-to repetitive system of barricading and snaking on every single map. We clearly can't play this game the same way, especially when playing solo. That doesn't have to be a bad thing.
I'll definitely continue playing 2 & 3 for a more "classic" experience, but there's clearly a ton of interesting strategizing to be done, and I'm only 2 hours in. Can't be mad about that.
