2025.01.29 06:09 Top-Ad-4709 Co-employed: Two Laptops, Samsung 34â Viewfinity Curved, USB switch or another KVM for peripherals?
Hello-Iâm co-employed and use two company laptops simultaneously throughout the day. I bought the Samsung Viewfinity with the built in KVM switch and LOVE that I can have the screen split between the two and use the same mouse and keyboard. AND, when not connected to the VPNs, I can copy and paste across laptops which is incredibly helpful in my role.
The problem, however, is that my external camera and the monitorâs built-in speaker only work for one laptop. Perhaps Iâm doing something incorrectly? The monitors source switch also just isnât the smoothest. Id love to have an easy switch between laptops for a mic, speaker, and a cam for meetings. Iâd also like to add a Streamdeck soon.
Does anyone know the trick to get the internal KVM to work with all peripherals? If not, what would you all suggest? Just start over with new external KVM switch or add a usb switch? What would either option look like with the cables going to my monitor? Thanks for any advice!

Space size is 16âW, 26âL, 12âH. The area with the padding I had to drop a little over a foot to accommodate the kit size, so that area is just about 10.5â high. About $27k for everything, was fun to build out. Iâm somewhat handy, and I had my friend who is very handy help. We installed it all in about 3 weekends, happy to answer questions on the build. Tried to take a lot of pictures.
Hitting area is roughly 10-11â from the screen.
Flooring area is roughly 16â wide by 14 long.
