I saw a spot open near me, and the pay is great, and it doesn't have any requirements to get the job other than taking the test. I found a post by someone else on what to study and what not to study and how to handle the interview, but is it worth my time and effort? Like what happens if I pass the test, get to the interview and have no real-world experience to bring to that?
I have worked in IT and I have done construction. and I am mechanically-inclined, I work on our cars, everything except lifting the engine or removing the transmission, but I get schematics when I am looking at them. Should go for it?
*Right now I waiting to hear back about a city job for a wastewater operator position. I passed the first test, beat 39 our of 50 people on the second more-detailed test (ironically all on schematics), did an interview with three people and am hoping to hear back any day now. They said there are 3 open positions and they would get back in about two weeks. If I get that call there's a second interview, but unless I totally screw that one up I would get the job. But I'm trying to cover bases and apply for as many things that I can that are career-type positions. Post office has pension, benefits, thrift savings (or is that UPS?), medical, etc. The job for the city starts at $33 an hour, guaranteed overtime, same benefits, also a pension, also union.

One of my best friends is probably not the smartest person in the world. I started noticing this during covid when all of a sudden he came with a story that I heard years before and was found to be not true. This later turned out to be the whole Q conspiracy. After januari 6 he started to realize it was all not true.
But since then I have been hearing the one conspiracy after the other. Probably to check if they are true. I feel he is getting frustrated he always seems to get fooled. Yesterday he thought he really found the story that would open my eyes. The one with the "help" signs in LA. I was intrigued as it really looked liked something evil was going on there. But an hour later VRT debunked the whole story. I feel really sorry for the guy as at the moment he is still in full denial. "you really believe that story?".
I guess the next 4 years going to be totally bonkers on the conspiracy front. How will you deal with those people in your life?

Everything was fine a few days ago now I can’t hear my gameplay audio. I’m pretty sure I haven’t changed anything and it feels like I tried everything to fix this. I have my elgato 4k x + steel series nova pros with chat link pro connected correctly. I also have analog audio set in 4k capture utility and I made sure the elgato is enabled and ready on the sound control panel. Can someone help me plzzz
