Just watched the announcement and all the talk about how they couldn't let PoE2 players down, with a game in such a bad state, crashes and poorly balanced enemies and so on.
Like, really? It's early access. You get a sneak preview of what is to come. Why do you abandon the game you've been working on and improving upon for 10+ years, and is still successful?
If it had been the full release I would understand, still not great since you didn't deliver on your promise to keep PoE1 and PoE2 dev teams separate.
If your long term intention is to abandon PoE1 for PoE2 then please come out and say so. Rip the bandaid off. So far your communication is that the games should run in parallel, but is that really the case? Considering your actions, I don't believe so.

2025.01.30 08:40 geekygab First IEM : Simgot EW300 DSP vs Aful Explorer
hello I was wondering what should I purchase. i didnt find a post comparing these two maybe since its an odd comparison but i thought id just go ahead and ask for advice
There is a store here selling the Aful Explorer at around a 25% discount though its still around $25 more expensive than the EW300.
Another concern I have is that Id be using it for my daily driver, though my phone only has a usb-c connection which means id have to get a dongle if I were to buy the Explorer. The EW300 comes in the DSP version which means I dont need to use a dongle
I listen to all kinds of music rnb, classical, rock, etc. I think im leaning more towards bass and what im aware of is that these iem are bassy relative to other iem though I certainly enjoy treble as well
I have a feeling that i should just go ahead and buy the Explorer as a one-and-done though I dont know how much better, if at all, it is compared to the EW300 as I know they have similar tuning (correct me if im wrong). or... should I buy a cheaper one since it would be my first iem and its better to dip my toes and find out what I prefer but id prefer to just buy one and keep it for the next few years hhhh
one final thing is whether there are better options compared to these two. since the discounted Aful Explorer is around 95usd, ig my max budget would be 100usd.

This month makes me 6 months clean from weed. I don’t think I’ll ever smoke or use again.
I only started smoking/edibles upping to multiple times in a day around July of 2023 when I decided to quit alcohol.
First I’d like to state I had a terrible virus in January to March of 2024 before all this started, I don’t know if that’s relevant.
Starting April/May of 2024 I started getting nauseous in the mornings and during the day didn’t think much of it. I started not eating as much. I would have bouts of vomiting and more nausea during May and June. All random and nothing of cause I could think of. No severe pain. I lost a total of 30 pounds during this time. I felt just overwhelming unwell.
My first visit to a doctor in June got me labs and sent to a GI specialist. All labs ended up normal. After spending thousands of dollars I got essentially no answers.
I did get diagnosed with gastroparisis.
Went to the ER once for vomiting after an upper scope procedure, and there I first heard of CHS and didn’t think I really fit the bill.
July came along after copious testing and no results. One night getting ready for bed, I left my stomach drop and the next few hours I was trapped on the floor with a heartrate of 150 plus. Ending up calling 911 and going to the ER. They ran all the tests and found weed in my system and said it was just anxiety. I don’t suffer from anxiety normally. That was the last day I smoked weed.
Everyday since then was it’s own challenge, racing heart beat doing literally nothing but standing, palpitations, exhaustion, body aches, the list could go on.. I spent the next 3 months unable to work or even move from room to room without my heart getting into the 170s.
Since seen a cardiologist and I’m told my heart is very healthy. When I’ll tell you it definitely doesn’t feel that way.
I started a beta blocker in September and have seen it keep my heart rate under control. Did I do this to myself? Did all this start from CHS? Just smoking too much weed? I don’t know, I have no answers and probably won’t.
I’ve gotten into reading more about CHS lately because I still have no answers to what has happened to me. I’m curious to see everyone’s similar symptoms or thoughts.

I'm between Chicago and Oakland for my digital marketing career. Oakland also presents the option of communicating to San Francisco for work, too.
There's more tech companies and marketing agencies in the Bay. Startups are still coming along with work. I'm hoping that if I stay long enough, I'll find a marketing job with a tech company that offers tech salaries.
Chicago is also a good contender as I don't see a shortage of jobs, although there is a bit of a dip in the market for all industries.
Chicago wins out on COL, but Oakland is only 22 percent more expensive based on COL calculators.
If you have experience in either city I'd like to hear more about your experience this also extends to SF professionals).
