I don't remember all details of the movie but I know that the General only realised it was Loid when a shot from his gun grazed the side of his head, revealing his hair. Then Loid took off his mask and obviously the General had recognised him. But did he know that Loid was actually Twilight, an agent of WISE? I don't think the General knew this.
So....does that mean that the General must've thought that "this guy infiltrated my ship, started blowing things up, and now attempts to kill me....because I stole his dessert -_- "
The other reason could be that he came to save his daughter but ;)

You might get confused by that title as to what I am looking for. I as DM was bored with my players wandering around aimlessly. I have two questions. I made and mistake. Now I have had to work hard to undo it. How can I remedy it next time?
What mistake have you made, thinking you were bringing in a solution? ( How did you change your approach? )
I had a gathering of wizards throw fireballs at them from maximum range. Now one of them just drags the whole party into what amounts to total slaughter. Most times, key hostiles will escape because every player is focused on the main melee. Things have greatly degenerated.
What is a strong way to engage and hook the campaign group into combat without turning them into disorganized murder-hobos?
What fix DID YOU TRY TO USE that totally screwed your game, and how did you fix that by doing it better the next time?

Hi guys, I’ve been doing the 5:2 method for about a month now and I’ve seen some results. I’m looking slimmer and my stomach and back fat seem to be shrinking somewhat. I am considering doing a constant rolling 48 every week, but there isn’t a lot of info online about it that I’ve found so far. I know people do it, so what is your experience with it?
My goal is to shrink my stomach, lose all the extra torso and belly fat, while retaining as much muscle mass as possible as I like to lift weights and I’m going for the muscular look as opposed to the skinny look
I’m around 280 at 6’2, I’m muscular but I have too much fat and my belly is sort of large because I think I’m going too high on portion size. I do not count calories which may be how I got here in the first place. I am sure I eat too much portion wise when I eat. But I’m wondering if the rolling 48 could remedy this problem without worrying about getting scientific with my calories and weighing out every little thing I put in my mouth
I do eat pretty clean btw. Mostly organic everything- beef, chicken, a few eggs per week, a fruit and protein powder smoothie once a day, lots of peanut butter and almonds, yoghurt, honey, white rice, and a fair amount of avacado/olive/sesame oil to cook my meat and pour over my rice. I think my diet is decent as far as what I’m actually eating, I just don’t count calories and fats and never have. I also somewhat lack on veggies although I’m always trying to improve that
So basically I’m wondering how much will a rolling 48 weekly improve my health and weight and also just any general info on if it’s a good idea to do this every single week. All opinions are welcome thanks

On January 13th I had my first interview for a role I applied to and it went GREAT. I noticed that it was going well because they couldn’t stop looking at each other and nodding every single time, plus I asked some questions that I thought they were great… and then, on January 22nd, I receive an email saying that they were thrilled they enjoyed meeting me the other day and that I was onto the 2nd and final phase of the process, and I would be meeting their superior.
It was a 30 minute call and I also felt great. It was a conversation and I also asked some things, the person even asked how far was I from work and what was the soonest I could join the team. Before hanging up, she told me that this week (this call was on Jan. 24th) they should have a definitive answer. Same thing I was told in my first interview.
Now, I know the week has not ended yet, but is it normal that I may sense that they forgot about me? I may be overreacting but I’d really like to get this position. I’ll be sending an email next Tuesday if I haven’t heard anything but I sense that they forgot about me.

 | Didn’t see this posted yet, but a great short interview with Pete about his competitiveness and philosophy. Watching this got me hyped up for where the team is headed. He talks about the value and motivation of having a year off and his view of how to best set up a QB for success. Pete’s obviously got primarily a defensive background but I think one of the reasons he wanted to keep continuity on that side of the ball and special teams is so he can focus on helping fix an offense that has been broken for years now. It also has struck me in learning more about his philosophy that he really doesn’t seem to care about the type of scheme the team runs. He seems to believe you can be successful with any scheme as long as you buy in, have discipline, and execute. Which is great news because he will tailor the scheme to the players we have and what they do best. In a division filled with coaching genius, it is so good to finally feel like we have one of our own. No matter who the QB, Pete will get the best they’ve got to offer out of them. I've used ACADE for a decade now and know it pretty good. In addition, spent a few years with Inventor for 3D modeling and assemblies. I've gotten accepted to SolidWorks Start-Up program so my first year is free, second year 70% off, and third year 50% off. Then its full price. The start-up program includes the SolidWorks Professional and I did get the premium version of SolidWorks Electrical so I can do 3D panel design work.
What are you currently using for electrical design? ACADE, SolidWorks Electrical, EPLAN, or something else?
If you have experience with both ACADE and SolidWorks Electrical, what do you prefer and why?

I have had this 2024 Denali for over a year, and I have just experienced a new wrinkle. If I am listening to XM, and the phone is connected, anytime my phone screen lights up (not even using an app), the volume goes down about 10db. When the phone screen goes off, the volume comes back up. Then, if i receive a phone call, after the call is done, I am not able to hear sound through any audio source but CarPlay. I can still see and click the XM buttons, or switch to the radio tuner, but there is no sound.
Was there some kind of Apple software update? Was there a GM software update? This is frustrating.

Happy Thursday all, make today great!
Firstly, thoughts and prayers go out to the victims, family and friends involved in last night's air disaster. Now the talk seems to be on the government employee reduction and flight congestion. That's the environment we're in.
GDP came in at 2.2% vs. a 2.3% expectation, sending bond yields lower. The 10-year is currently trading at 4.506, that should help stocks. Once again, it sure seems we're at a point of parity or buoyancy with enough catalysts on both side of the fence to allow markets to rise/fall somewhat organically rather than being pushed and pulled.
Earnings kicked off in a big way yesterday and we have some interesting reports. I'm not going to break these down in detail, but just give a quick thought on each of these I saw.
$MSFT - The numbers looked very good but Azure growth and guide disappointed the street it seems and the stock is sharply lower this AM, down 4.4%. Fine by me, there just wasn't much to sell here, though I could make the argument that there wasn't a major short-term catalyst buy here either. MSFT has trailed the other names over the past year but remains supremely positioned.

$META - META is trading 2.75% higher after a decent report. They are just very well positioned

$TSLA - TSLA is trading 4.7% higher on a mixed earnings report. The market's leading cult stock is proving why the markets can be very difficult to read when it comes to earnings. By all accounts, this looks like it was a miss on multiple levels. Insert shrug emoji here.

$IBM - Quietly, and beyond my memory yesterday, IBM quietly released earnings that beat handily, showing that this old dog continues to reshape itself and learn new tricks. A 20% higher guide on revenues and a nice guide higher on FCF are fueling the 9.1% move higher.

$NOW - NOW is trading down nearly 10% on a somewhat soft report though eps looked good and revenue rose 21%. Sub revenue was the culprit here, the market wanted a bit more than the 21% growth. The numbers looked great and, once again, the smallest of missed expectations or a 'soft' guide won't support the run we've seen in some names. That's a characteristic of an over-bought market.

$VRT - Somehow I picked up yesterday that VRT had released earnings and I was reading a report, but I must have been moving too quickly and picked up a previous report. Funny. They don't report until 2/12. Up 7% this AM.
Earnings are going to dominate the headlines over the next couple of weeks, and potentially beyond. I'm not sure when this happened but it sure seems that the reports are now being strung over a longer period of time and beginning later. I'm not sure if companies have pushed reports back or adjusted their fiscal years to be more inclusive of January, but somehow this move snuck up on me.
I saw that $KO received an upgrade. It wasn't mentioned but Costco is moving to $KO from $PEP. I own both.
Other than that, most of the analyst calls this AM were reiterations, a trend I've been mentioning. When everyone is so bullish and upgrades have already been made, it's difficult to garner new upgrades. I did see one new upgrade for META.
I did also take notice of Snowflake's ($SNOW) CEO Ramaswamy lauding DeepSeek's breakthrough although skepticism does seem to be growing about the claims. Ramaswamy is a tech veteran and echoed the belief that this news is casting doubt on the significant investment of billions of dollars being spent to train our current models. If you have the ability to zoom out a bit, you could see how this certainly would create a seismic shift in thinking about our current model, but how this will be used to fast-track domestic development even more. Intriguing.
Random Shots
I'm continuing to watch AI Energy names, specifically $CEG, $VST and $TLN into my feelings about my purchases of the first two. Despite the rise since Monday's big drop, it still feels off to me and I can't explain it yet.
$CAVA continues to rip higher off the $110 price point and I could consider selling to take gains. I don't often turn my back on quick 20% gains and it's heading in that direction. I purchased it as a long term hold so I'll have to get my arms around that.
I did hear of one talking head that went flat on $DELL but I didn't hear the reasoning. Seems curious to me in that DELL does seem to be one of the better valued AI related plays and with a 1.26% dividend. This could be just retrenching into names closer to the center of the circle in AI.
$MMM is probably trimmable here. Noticed it broke $150. Once again, this is one of those stocks that if you can be patient while being paid to wait (2%) when it falls out of favor, you can profit handsomely. MMM just provided a 50% move higher in relatively short order. I did trim earlier but holding the rest due to yield. I'll take another look and it could be a sell candidate if I raise cash.
Think I'm just going to sit back and watch the action a bit today, taking it all in while earnings reports continue to roll out. Opening bell just rang and I'm quickly scanning things that make me say "hmmm."
$AVGO - Up 7%, catching a nice big after Monday's debacle.
$NVDA continues to struggle. This reminds me so much of that initial rise through $700 as it coiled.
$RDDDT powers higher.
AI software names are weak this AM including SNOW, $CRM, $DDOG, etc. Probably the $NOW impact.
WHOA ... I just noticed $UPS. Down 15% this AM. Nice earnings report but the guide for '25 sales came in at $6B lower based on a a cut in expected Amazon volume of 50%. Wow. I'll have to look at this more closely. Is it a change in story similar to $CVS or $WBA or a MMM type opportunity?
