In other words I’m not religious because I have trouble believing in a god. There might be some powerful being, who knows.
Why I’m agnostic is due to me thinking that the afterlife just sounds wayyyy too good to be true. Like so good it’s obvious humans invented it to feel better about their lives ending.
Which I get, death is scary who wants to tell their kids “yeah when you die your consciousness dissipates and your body rots in the ground”
Just the whole good go up, bad go down, and people in the middle get to work it off! It’s just too convenient and it just doesn’t flow with how my brain makes sense of things.
I wish I could believe in that though, have faith like that. Man what a joy life would be.

I have been trying to develop my own proprietary trading algorithm (I have a background in stats and computer science), but recently saw an old post of somebody trying to sell a strategy that they had created. Are there still people out there who want to sell trading algorithms they’ve created? I am interested in buying the rights to an already created strategy (both to learn from it and hopefully make profit). Also out of curiosity how many people create algorithms that are worth selling (i.e. that actually work)?

I bought an under desk treadmill and a standing desk. I get vertigo and so I can't go super fast and work at the same time, so I keep it at a meandering trot.
I'm pretty out of shape and so on my day one, I did what I could during work - 5k steps. My goal is to get to 10k a day, then work my way to jogging after work.
I wanted to say thank you to this sub. I've been a long time watcher. You've really given me the motivation to finally start.
