I'm trying to transfer my screen to a new shell because my original one is broken, and Iâve purchased a replacement.
Iâll attempt to preserve the existing adhesive with heat, but if thatâs not possible, Iâd like to know which type of glue is used so I can buy a suitable replacement.

 | Ive recently found this dutch oven that was super weathered and after many days of attempting to clean it it is still so bad. Ive used my electrolysis tank to remove the heavy stuff and scrubbed and rinsed and repeated many times over. It is pitted to hell and back and i wanna know if its worth continuing to try and restore it. Finally decided to go forward with the upgrades on my civic
After a hell lot of thinking and weighing out pros and cons I have finally committing to upgrade my 2007 Honda Civic as mentioned in one of my previous posts.
I thought of doing the intake, exhaust and get tune but while discussing with various performance partners decided that Iâm going almost all in with the current NA engine.
So what and all am I doing? 1. Intake, this will be a closed pod intake with custom piping. Civics are notoriously known for being hot in the engine bay so having an open pod filter will just be counterproductive. Probably will go with K&N Orion ( depends on the performance partner)
- Exhaust, this may be controversial but I prefer a no nonsense, not loud kind of exhaust hence going for the same. I want the sound to be as nice and calm in a way as possible so that I donât cause a nuisance like many other people I have seen. So going with a full system custom exhaust.
- Cylinder head work, this is what I am additionally doing a port and polish work on the cylinder extracting as much power as we can from this motor without over abusing it. Not many civics have this done or I donât know enough but this is something I am keen to do and see the results.
- Custom dyno tune, this is pretty self explanatory since we are doing a lot of things a tune to integrate all the mods is essential. So a custom tune specifically for my car on the dyno is what I prefer rather than having a basic map slapped on.
I know the R18 that comes in this civic is not a performance oriented engine rather an economy oriented one. But I have no plans changing my car anytime soon and I donât wanna sell this car for something bigger and do upgrades to that.
I know the price to power value that I get with how much I spend vs how much I receive is really not worth it but at the end of the day itâll make me happy and I think thatâs waht is more important.
My expectation is to push in the 130-135hp at wheels mark, but donât know if thatâs attainable. Only time will tell.
Thatâs the story of my decision and what Imm doing. I need to get some finances on check and handle everything so that I can do this so probably by March I will be able to give in the car. They told this will be a 2 week job so not that bad (iâve waited longer for parts).

Ok, so we rent a house that is in AN EXCELLENT location in our city, but the house itself is in a bad condition. The landlady refuses to do any maintenance unless itâs an emergency.
The pipes in the house are from the 40âs, some are like ticking bombs at this point, could cause huge damages if they start to leak. We had 3 different plumbers go âyikes! You gotta replace these ASAP!â When they came to fix some other minor issues.
The landlady postponed a lot but finally just decided to go ahead and get the pipes replaced. She recommended a plumbing company and a handyman for me to get in touch with and have them give us quotes, she wants to go with the cheapest option.
So I got in touch with the plumbing company, they took a look and gave us a quote. So did the handyman who would hire a team to get the job done.
The handyman ended up giving us a more expensive quote, but also seemed like he didnât exactly know what he was doing compared to the plumbing company.
I reported back to the landlady, she said she will speak with both teams before she makes a decision on who to go with. She ended up making her choice by only speaking to the handyman who sweetened the deal by throwing in a couple more things to fix in the house for free (things as simple as fixing a wobbly chair for an example).
She didnât even contact the professional plumbing company.
Welp, now the handyman and his crew have started since yesterday. There was a two day delay at first because they didnât realize they needed a permit from the city before they start.
Yesterday they worked for 12 hours (10am -10pm), they didnât even let me know theyâd stay that late. Before they left, they turned the bathroom water back on but everything was hooked to the hot water pipes or something lmao, like youâd flush the toilet with steaming hot water, and gotta quickly wash hands before the water from the sink faucet got too hot.
Theyâre here now working again today, and I swear to god I heard the lead guy say âI feel like we are missing something but idk whatâ to his crew. đ

2025.01.30 15:02 The_Bookest_Bookworm I got robbed today. Should I tell my teacher?
 | So today I took a Harry Potter candy dispenser( pic above) and an extra pack of candy. I kept it in the small pocket of my backpack, you know, the closed one. After taking one candy and changing I went to the gym. I came back, and since it was the last lesson I went home without changing back into my school uniform. So Iâm putting my coat on and stuff, but then I decided I want more candy. I open the pocket, but no matter how hard I search, I canât find the dispenser. I figured the dispenser fell out, no big deal, then searched for the extra pack. Guess what? It wasnât there. All the money I had on me was gone. My trash all stayed there though. Only two people in the whole class knew, I had the candy, and one of them went home halfway through the day. The other girl is my one of my best friends, I highly doubt she took them. It could be another class as well though. The sad thing is, this isnât the first time this has happened. Another girl in the grade above us lost her two lipsticks and got a backpack smeared with face cream. Compared to that, my situation isnât that much of a big deal, but I am super sad about it.
