I have never played a game more unstable and crash-prone than RDR2 on PC. I am seriously amazed by how many different crashes I can experience by trying to play this game.
First, I got the "pause glitch". After a few minutes of play, the world will stop rendering the environment and then freeze on a pause.
After troubleshooting for hours, I seemed to fix this issue. Then, a new problem arises. After a few minutes of play, my game would just hard crash to the desktop! Seeing as I was given no error codes, or no indication as to what was causing the crash, I didn't even know where to begin troubleshooting this. Though after some generic tweaks and PC cleanup, it seemingly went away.
NOW, I can't even make it into the game! I launch the game, and before it even finishes loading, I'm told that I am "out of memory". I find this hard to believe as I have 32GB of RAM, and I never experienced this issue even once on an older, less powerful machine.
I can't even begin to list all the fixes and tweaks I've tried, and this post is more of a rant than a request for support. But if anyone has experienced this trifecta of issues and somehow discovered the cure-all fix, please do share! I love RDR2 and it's very frustrating to deal with so many different crashes.

This may be long….I(27F) love my dad with all my heart he raised me but even w me having my father in my life he is unhealthy and toxic …not to me though-the women in his life! Since the age of 4 i watched my dad be a womanzer from cheating to physical abuse. Him and my stepmom (his first marriage and the women who practically raised me) cannot stay away from each other its so bad that every relationship he has gets ruined bc of her and i really wana talk to him and call out his behavior but i have no idea how…i NEVER said anything before but i witnessed everything ! And i remember it all. i have been living with him and his current fiance while i been in school but its so toxic and i hate how he acts he is the reason i dont date bc i might go to jail if i run into a man like him.  | As sad as it is to admit, this subreddit is too filled with negative reviews of flips having all kind of issues. I am aware that people who have no problems don't post in the sub, so ofc there is probably more flips working than not, but it still scared me off of it. I'm afraid that such an expensive phone could die on me after a small drop or generally off-ing itself for some random malfunction. And honestly i don't have the spare money to afford fixing it often or buying a secondary phone. It's been 6 unique months, but i think I'll stick to a hard slab for now. For anyone who's thinking about buying it, if you have the resources and treat phones nicely, go for it, it's quite a fun and unique device, I'd recommend it. Plus, nothing is going to fit this nicely in my pockets again.
