My sweet rescue boy is 8 yrs old and was just diagnosed with cancer. He has been given weeks to months. I also have a very high energy 3yr old who is used to playing with him all day long. We got her at 9 weeks and she has always been with other cats. My boy is very tired and not interested in playing much, but still loves cuddles and treats. We have a vet coming to the house for comfort care and euthanasia when the time comes.
I am worried about my younger cat. I am playing with her a lot more since her brother got sick, and we are planning to adopt another kitten at some point. I just want to figure out the appropriate timing. I know home euthanasia is best for her so that she knows what happened, and I know that adopting a kitten before then would be too much for my sick cat. I feel like he needs our focus and peace for his final weeks.
How long should we wait after his passing to adopt a new kitten companion for our other cat? I am not concerned about my emotions, I will figure it out regardless, I just want to do what is best for all of the kitties involved. Thanks for your thoughts.

People say working in retail or any customepublic facing job will “help” them get out of shyness. Wrong. Everyone is different, and didn’t work for me or will never.
I’ve had many customer service jobs through the years. All ended badly. One working at a restaurant. Everyone was saying how quiet I was. One girl from school was kept bitching about my shyness to classmates-which was uncalled for.
Later on, I did retail when i was younger. I was fired for not greeting, hiding from people, not telling people about credit cards, etc. manager called me out for being shy and that i couldn’t sell anything. One assistant manager cracked jokes about me being quiet while i was talking to a customer.
Several years later, i recently got hired at a chain retail store. I figured it couldn’t be that bad, i have more life experience now and still was not able to be in a public customer service setting. The thought of being at a cash register again and telling customers about cards, starting small talk. I could not do it. Dreaded it, had a panic attack. Thinking back to my failed retail experience before.
No more people public jobs for me anymore. And no, it will never help me come out of my shyness

Pra contextualizar, quando transamos eu não usei camisinha (irresponsabilidade minha), mas depois ela me disse que tomava anticoncepcional, então fiquei tranquilo e de consciência leve que nada iria acontecer. No último domingo (26/01) ele me ligou durante a tarde pra dizer a terrível notícia, a princípio nem ela acreditava que poderia estar grávida, pois além do anticoncepcional, ela alegou ter ovários policísticos.
Agora estamos enfrentando um terrível dilema, que é aceitar o que aconteceu. Eu não queremos ter essa criança de jeito nenhum, não estamos preparados financeiramente e nem psicologicamente pra isso, estamos pensando na possibilidade de realizar um aborto, mas o problema e que não sabemos onde encontrar o remédio (famoso cytotec), e nem a forma correta de administrar.
Sei que um aborto tem riscos, mas estamos querendo tomar uma adianta pra mini se esses riscos, pois o feto não tem nem 4 semanas de gestação ainda.
Se alguém puder me ajudar de qualquer forma, ficaria grato.

Hey! Am a bit on the fence regarding my first touring setup for powder skiing. Yes, i will only be using it in the backcountry with atk pins and a light freetour boot. Currently choosing between:
1) armada locator 112 /187cm / approx 1600g per ski
2) ogso big 114 /194cm / 2000g (I know its not moment ski lol, bet in my area they are pretty popular and can be found at a good price)
I was only able to ski last year version of the ogso corbets that was a bit lighter and shorter and although it felt intuitive i wished there was a bit more camber and dampness to it. The “big” seems to be a move in that direction
Background: 185cm, 88kg, advanced skier, been skiing for 17 years casual, but lately came to enjoy racing at a city course, 5 days of touring in total. Feel more confident on icy terrain , steeps (up to 40-45 deg)
The thing is on paper armada looks great, but i am a bit hesitant regarding the weight on the descent since i am quite used to heavier damp skis in general and never skied anything that light

Aorus Elite z790 motherboard
16GBx2 DDR5 RAM
1 nvme, 1 SATA SSD, 1 HDD
Air cooler, 6 case fans
Any info as to whether this would be just fine, or would be sub-optimal and require an upgrade would be appreciated.

I’m just starting magic and got the 4th Doctor, Dr.Who precon as my first deck.
I was confused if I can have both two doctors in play at once. I had thought that I could since they don’t have the same name (I.e. “The 4th Doctor” and “The 3rd Doctor”).
However my friend who was teaching me thought they could not because they both had the same Type Line: “Legendary Creature: Time Lord Doctor”
He’s not 100% sure on this as he hasn’t played in a long time and so I wanted to ask here.
Am I allowed to have both of these cards in play at the same time? Or does the Legend rule apply?
