So the PS5 patch solved the white/black screen rendering issues but now when I’m in water worlds, the water will randomly completely respawn at intervals. And all I can do is wait until it comes back so I can get back to the surface and call my ship. Anyone else run into this one?

What if you had an app/business that has the transparency and speed of Uber and the outcome of Dolly/TaskRabbit. This app would connect you with truck owners in your area so that you/they can drive the truck to pick up your furniture ASAP.
Features and differentiators of this app/business compared to competitors:
- There would be inputs as there are with UShip and Dolly for the set-up (i.e. furniture type, size, location)
- Help would be optional, unlike Dolly, where 1 helper is required. The buyer can bring their own help, or ask help from the truck driver.
- There would be more communication with available truck owners to settle prices and details
- The buyer can have the option to drive the truck themselves
- Ideally this would work with much greater speed, and be cheaper than competitors who require scheduling ahead of time, generating quotes that are often too expensive

2025.01.30 18:03 PDDH25 Graduation Trip Late May Need Suggestions
I am looking to go to Puerto Rico the 3rd or 4th week of may. I am overwhelmed with the options of places to go.
There are going to be three people on the trip. All young women in our 20s. I want to be able to do these things (doesn't have to be all but are listed in order of importance to me)
- be at a calm beach. I hate choppy water. I want to be able to swim/ float. (this is a must have)
- Eat really good food
- Go scuba diving
- Go ziplining
I have looked at places near Playa Del Pueblo , Luquillo, and Condando.
Also want to go somewhere where to people will speak Spanish with me as a learner if that makes sense.. I would say I am like advanced beginner but not quite intermediate yet.

2025.01.30 18:03 Neither_Loan6419 Questions About Quenching Magna-Cut Steel Razors
Hellow everybody! I don't make knives exactly, but I have made a few razors from O-2, 1095, and a few other usual suspects, and also a couple from 440C. All of these, I followed the published data for austenizing temps and soak times, and quenched in warm Parks 50, usually, once I scored a 5gal bucket of it, and before that, usually Peanut Oil, clean 30wt motor oil, etc. Now I have a couple sticks of MagnaCut and plate quenching is recommended and first in preference, followed by air, positive pressure, or interrupted oil quench to 1000°F and air cool to 125°. The problem is most straight razors, and all of the ones I have made, are hollowground. The hollow part is almost the entire side of the blade. Is plate quenching even a thing, when the plate only makes contact basically at the spine and tang of the razor? I am inclined to think that the only way to make a plate quenched razor from this steel is to cut to profile and not grind, heat treat and quench, temper, and THEN grind the razor including the hollowgrind. Naturally I would rather do all but the final grinding of the bevel with the steel in the annealed state, if possible, but grinding hardened and tempered I can do if I have to. I could build a quench chamber for positive pressure quenching, but meh, Tail wagging the dog. Hardness is critical for best performance, and the ideal range, at least IMHO, is 60 to 61 HRC. A soft or brittle edge, either one, would be a deal killer. Finally, there is interrupted oil quench. I have never seen that done and certainly never done it myself. Does that mean quench until 1000°F in one go, then air cool? Or is it a judgement call exercise in alchemy and magical ritual, of dunking and pulling it out and dunking again and again?
If I can't come up with a definite plan, I will go with my fall-back option, for which an oil quench is specified, CPM-S35VN. I really want to make a batch of SS or at least razors that are highly resistant to rusting, and maybe transition completely to SS and leave ordinary high carbon steel alone, and I was not super impressed by good ol' 440C and regarded those razors as an underwhelming waste of my time.
So, summing up my conundrum, what about that MagnaCut for a razor steel... plate quench as best as possible? Oil quench, and how to do it without cracking or warping and with hardness in the groove after tempering? Or do all hardening an tempering on the unground blank and then perform all of the grinding? Or sell or swap it to a knife guy and go with S35VN or similar?

This is going to be an amazing 2025 for Archer Aviation with upcoming catalysts that I will list below. Also, today Archer's Chief Commercial Officer, Nikhil Goal, is speaking today about upcoming KEY milestones for Archer Aviation heading into the print.
TLDR: Archer's earnings call is slated for February 24, 2025 after hours. This will mark the an action packed news cycle leading right up the UAE 2025 commercialization. Bonus! There is a credible "rumor" but is pure speculation that Archer will begin piloted flight demonstrations on February 14, 2024 which is a couple weeks away. This rumor comes from a reddit post what some believe is the wife of an Archer employee which she deleted shortly thereafter but because it's reddit someone copied and wrote a plausible write up about it.
Whether that's super accurate or not we do know about some very important upcoming catalysts that are expected in the near future.
- Let's be real, Archer has been dry on major news for a long time now. Almost 3 months since the Anduril announcement and almost a half of a year or longer since the transitions flight demonstration. This is the moment for Archer to shine amongst its peers and show why they are the leader in eVTOL aircraft both commercial and military. In today's McKinsey's eVTOL Technology seminar Nikhil Goel said, "We will be the first in the world to launch commercial operations."
- The UAE is convinced that ARCHER is going to operate by late 2025 which means their guy Dr. Talib and the UAE writ large is committed to Adam and Archer's Timeline. But how do you get there? You get there by rapid certification progress happening from the US side.
Archer has taken the 5 phase process and shrunk it down to 4 phases.

Here is how Archer has consolidated it down to 4 phases which I believe is the combination of the Implementation phase with the Post Cert Activities phase in order to have an expedited Type Certification that can then be shown and used to the the UAE and their aviation transportation sector GCAA.

In Figure 2-9 you will see a process that is namely the TIA (Type Inspection Authorization). This is a critical part of the type certification that is related to the type designed aircraft that will be used to certify the Midnight aircraft and ultimately lead to its Type Certification and it's production Midnight commercial use aircraft.
What is interesting is from Archer's last Q3 earnings call this past November 7, 2024 they have begun critical parts with software and systems integrations with SOI1 and SOI2 (Stages of Involvement 'FAA') software audits completed. SOI3 would be the pre-TIA activity where the software and hardware go through a verification process by the FAA and this is exactly where I think Archer is currently. SOI4 would be the final certification review.
What this does signal to me is that Archer is primed and ready for upcoming piloted flights with a pilot-only type designed Midnight aircraft. The type certification will allow them to gain UAE approval with the GCAA allowing them to initiate commercial operations in 2025.
- I therefore expect flight demonstrations to be imminent as there is not time to waste if 2025 is the goal. There is no way Adam is going to wait until the half or 2nd half of the year to fly midnight in a pilot-only type designed built for production aircraft.
- I am confident that Nikhil and Adam closed deals in Davos with a premier middle east partner, Saudi Arabia adn their transportation agency the GACA. These deal will be announced also in the near term in the least being by the next earnings which is only 2 and a half weeks away.
- With all of these developments and upcoming pilot flight demonstrations I am also expecting an announcement at this upcoming earnings that Phase 3 of the type certification process has been 100% completed and they are heading directly into TIA phase 4 for credit piloted flight progression.
- Archer will start to create small batches of the Midnight aircraft which will bring real revenues for the first time since the inception of the company in 2025.
- Bonus: All of the upcoming Archer and Anduril military application announcements that should have greater detail throughout the year.
This is a speculative investment but it is what I believe is an excellent investment for 2025 based on news and advancements in the transportation industry. As well, the new administration has promised companies regulation priority and investment for those who spend and invest $1 billion or more in manufacturing and development in the US. Archer and Anduril fit this criteria well.
For these reasons I still am maintain a $20 - $30 price target for ACHR.

We did it boys, i managed to reach my all time peak in LoL by playing champions ive never played before this season (maybe 5-10 games MAX), also doing it with 60% wr. Before i thought i was soo good at league and the only thing holding me back was my teammates, wich ive come to realise is total bs. This season i wanted to lock in and see if i give my all every game and actually think “how can i win this” at every moment where will this get me. Here we are at diamond 4 25lp right now and i dont plan on stopping here. Masters is my next goal. Wish me luck and AMA.

Hi all!
My partner and I are looking at a million different options for getting married at some point in the next year and a half (depending which option we choose and needing more time to plan). I’m looking for ideas/suggestions for planning a wedding (affordably that would be able to accommodate my family in the US and his family in West Africa).
My dream wedding is very low key, immediate family and close friends (30-40 people) outdoor ceremony in the mountains (PNW girlie) and a simple dinner to follow.
The biggest issue we have is getting all of our loved ones in the same place. Getting tourist visas to the US can be a really difficult and long process because of the country they are from and likely going to get harder with this new administration. I’m afraid if we plan a wedding in the US the likelihood of his whole family successfully getting the visas is pretty low. And you can only apply a couple of months in advance, so the wedding would already be well in the works by the time they could apply.
The list of other countries we could get married is limited to those his family can travel to either with no visas or easily accessible visas (Bahamas, Morocco, Turkey, UAE, etc.) and they are not as cheap as social media has told me but if anyone has done it or has suggestions I’d love to hear!
Getting married in his home country is an option but not ideal. If hosted there it would be planned by his family and would likely be a 500+ person wedding largely with people my partner doesn’t even know. I’m open to doing this as a second wedding as I know his parents would love to throw it but it would be far from the intimate wedding both my partner and I want.
Any out of the box ideas, cost effective suggestions for destination weddings, or should we just say fuck it and elope?
