Mankind is desperate, irritated, frustrated, and frightened because they live from imaginary pictures they have of themselves, rather than from their true nature. Mankind must observe that they're living from imaginary pictures of who they're, from a false sense of identity. At the start, it is difficult to do this because they're so close to themselves that they cannot see their fictitious selves.
There are endless varieties of artificial selves, but all are equally harmful. People imagine they must be wealthy, popular, wise, happy, educated, powerful, impressive, charming, clever. They must be nothing of the sort. They must be themselves. Then, all the extras of life that we need will be added to us. We will enjoy them, and not be possessed by them.
Imaginary self-pictures also explain mankind's wars and crimes and other social tragedies. People, dominated by false ideas of who they are, will be compulsively driven to greed, envy and destructive ambition. When you see that millions of people are hounded by their false identities, you will understand why the world is so wounded. The destruction of the false self is a great mystic's secret that few of the billions on earth know about. (K pointed out to this all the time that this is what destroys mankind.)
Of those who have heard, few follow it through to self-liberation. You can, if you choose, be different from billions of desperate people. You can work with this idea until it becomes part of your understanding. And then you will live as a new person. What can you do? You can observe yourself daily. Watch your daydreams. They are clues to false pictures you have of whom you think you should be. Never mind who you should be. That is a painful trap. Destroy your imaginary self-pictures with ruthless persistence. They are foes who prevent your newness. We resist letting go of our imaginary self-pictures because we fear our emptiness without them. We must courageously face the temporary uncertainty as to who we are, if we are to discover our true spiritual identity.
A child maybe asked what would you like to do for an occupation, hobby, sports etc. but not what you want to be.The conditioning of who we should be comes from very early age when a child is asked who you want to be when you grow up? That's a wrong question for we already know what we are, a masterpiece but many don't realize it precisely because they think they need to be somebody, rather than see what they already are.

With likely around 11 books left of GT left, do you think we've met the final boss yet like how the final boss of NT (not counting NT22R) was Coronzon, who'd been hiding in plain sight as Lola? Or do you think it's like Fiamma where it's a new character we'll meet later in GT?
With the possibility of us further exploring the Secret Chiefs and how long he's been built up, I could see Aiwass as a possibility. But it could also be another Secret Chief who havs never met before, the unsolved mystery of the Teacher of Crowley who is speculated dead, but is an important part of GT due to "creating" Alice, or someone else entirely.
Would love to hear ya'll's thoughts and theories, even though there's not a lot to go off of right now so it's purely speculation.

2025.01.30 18:06 Downtown-Act-590 Why did the ship design not converge around the world after European ships started regularly visiting Far East?
I was looking at some pictures of old Chinese ships from First Opium War and before and I was rather surprised to see how different they are from the European ships of the time. One would expect that with the frequent mutual contact, shipbuilding would converge somewhat with e.g. the Chinese adopting some advantageous features of the European designs and vice versa.
However, I don't really see much similarity in the pictures, with the sail configurations, hull shapes and overall layout still being very different. Why is that? Did each civilization of the day ask different things from their ships and hence had the ships purpose-optimized? Was it a cultural thing and people just didn't want to touch the proven design? Was it difficult to copy?

This is going to be an amazing 2025 for Archer Aviation with upcoming catalysts that I will list below. Also, today Archer's Chief Commercial Officer, Nikhil Goal, is speaking today about upcoming KEY milestones for Archer Aviation heading into the print.
TLDR: Archer's earnings call is slated for February 24, 2025 after hours. This will mark the an action packed news cycle leading right up the UAE 2025 commercialization. Bonus! There is a credible "rumor" but is pure speculation that Archer will begin piloted flight demonstrations on February 14, 2024 which is a couple weeks away. This rumor comes from a reddit post what some believe is the wife of an Archer employee which she deleted shortly thereafter but because it's reddit someone copied and wrote a plausible write up about it.
Whether that's super accurate or not we do know about some very important upcoming catalysts that are expected in the near future.
- Let's be real, Archer has been dry on major news for a long time now. Almost 3 months since the Anduril announcement and almost a half of a year or longer since the transitions flight demonstration. This is the moment for Archer to shine amongst its peers and show why they are the leader in eVTOL aircraft both commercial and military. In today's McKinsey's eVTOL Technology seminar Nikhil Goel said, "We will be the first in the world to launch commercial operations."
- The UAE is convinced that ARCHER is going to operate by late 2025 which means their guy Dr. Talib and the UAE writ large is committed to Adam and Archer's Timeline. But how do you get there? You get there by rapid certification progress happening from the US side.
Archer has taken the 5 phase process and shrunk it down to 4 phases.

Here is how Archer has consolidated it down to 4 phases which I believe is the combination of the Implementation phase with the Post Cert Activities phase in order to have an expedited Type Certification that can then be shown and used to the the UAE and their aviation transportation sector GCAA.

In Figure 2-9 you will see a process that is namely the TIA (Type Inspection Authorization). This is a critical part of the type certification that is related to the type designed aircraft that will be used to certify the Midnight aircraft and ultimately lead to its Type Certification and it's production Midnight commercial use aircraft.
What is interesting is from Archer's last Q3 earnings call this past November 7, 2024 they have begun critical parts with software and systems integrations with Stage-1 and Stage-2 (Stages of Involvement 'FAA') software audits completed. Stage-3 would be the pre-TIA activity where the software and hardware go through a verification process by the FAA and this is exactly where I think Archer is currently. Stage-4 would be the final certification review.
What this does signal to me is that Archer is primed and ready for upcoming piloted flights with a pilot-only type designed Midnight aircraft. The type certification will allow them to gain UAE approval with the GCAA allowing them to initiate commercial operations in 2025.
- I therefore expect flight demonstrations to be imminent as there is not time to waste if 2025 is the goal. There is no way Adam is going to wait until the half or 2nd half of the year to fly midnight in a pilot-only type designed built for production aircraft.
- I am confident that Nikhil and Adam closed deals in Davos with a premier middle east partner, Saudi Arabia adn their transportation agency the GACA. These deal will be announced also in the near term in the least being by the next earnings which is only 2 and a half weeks away.
- With all of these developments and upcoming pilot flight demonstrations I am also expecting an announcement at this upcoming earnings that Phase 3 of the type certification process has been 100% completed and they are heading directly into TIA phase 4 for credit piloted flight progression.
- Archer will start to create small batches of the Midnight aircraft which will bring real revenues for the first time since the inception of the company in 2025.
- Bonus: All of the upcoming Archer and Anduril military application announcements that should have greater detail throughout the year.
This is a speculative investment but it is what I believe is an excellent investment for 2025 based on news and advancements in the transportation industry. As well, the new administration has promised companies regulation priority and investment for those who spend and invest $1 billion or more in manufacturing and development in the US. Archer and Anduril fit this criteria well.
For these reasons I still am maintain a $20 - $30 price target for ACHR.

First time poster--this seems like the right group to share my newest bike. A few weeks ago I bought this Nyala on FB Marketplace in barely-ridden original condition. Didn't need much! Cleaned and lubed, replaced consumables, and swapped a few things from my parts pile, and it's ready to go. The original Alivio group is nothing special but running perfectly in this condition. The plan is to mount up the hardware for my Yepp Mini (front) and Yepp Maxi (rear) child seats and use this as the dedicated dad bike.

Moin zusammen. Ich habe das Problem, dass mein Körper seit ein paar Jahren extrem auf Stress reagiert.
Ich hatte heute zB ein Vorstellungsgespräch und seit Sonntag hatte ich extremen Durchfall mit Bauchkrämpfen. Bis heute. Nach dem Gespräch war alles weg. Heute Morgen vor dem Gespräch war mein Blutdruck 160/100, direkt danach 130/80. Im Sitzen.
Das ist nur eins von vielen Beispielen. Sobald ich unter Stress gerate steigt mein Blutdruck, ich kriege wahlweise Verdauungsprobleme, Kopfschmerzen oder kann über Tage nicht schlafen.
Das seltsame daran ist, dass ich das vom Kopf her gar nicht als stress empfinde. Ich hatte keine Angst vor dem Gespräch heute. Ich bin ein selbstbewusster tiefenentspannter Dude eigentlich. Ich habe auch lange gebraucht überhaupt zu checken, dass meine Symptome anscheinend mit Stress zu tun haben. Lange Zeit habe ich das garnicht in Verbindung gebracht. Mein Körper allerdings schon.
Was würdet Ihr empfehlen. Meditation vielleicht?

To start off I have
MB - Asus Prime B550-plus
Case - Gigabyte C301GW V2 ( It came with a hub for all the fans and extra components)
AIO - Thermaltake TH240 V2 Ultra
The hub is connected to the ARGB Gen2 header on the MB.
When I press on the case LED button the colors changes on all of the components to the colors the case has.
I tried to download every RGB program I could find including the AURA SYNC which is compatible with all of my components but for some reason not even on one app anything showed up.
I tried connecting only the AIO and it worked, the AIO showed up on the apps.
I changed the setting in BIOS for the RGB to work properly and I cannot figure out how to get it to work for all of the components :(
I'm starting to think maybe there's a problem with the hub? But why would they include it in the case that is supported by AURA SYNC if it won't work?
