2025.01.30 19:10 No_Dragonfly9547 Pocoyo Theory: SECRET FAMILY of The Narrator! (Seriously, this lore is messed up)
If the Narrator in the episode "The Universe Changing Remote" says that Pocoyo and Pato are his kids/children, then how the heck did he even have a duck for a son?! I think Pato is Pocoyo's 'adopted' brother and the 'adopted' son of the Narrator. In the Pocoyo interpretation of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol, we can see Pocoyo and Pato's newborn appearances with their cribs next to each other. Because a fun fact: Baby siblings can play with each other when their beds/cribs are next to each other. Perhaps, the Narrator adopted Pato instead of "creating" him, why? Because he wants another son companion with Pocoyo, his first and only son.
Why would he call his two sons his "friends" in the episode "Guess What?" if he later revealed them to be his children? I think he only called them his friends or told Pocoyo that Pato is his 'friend' so he can't tell the secret that Pato is his brother.
Also, why didn't Pocoyo get confused at the Narrator when he called Pato, alongside himself, his "kids" to stop them from playing with Angry Alien's remote? I think the transcript could have been like this:
Narrator: Kids, can so listen to me for a moment, please?
(Pocoyo looks at Pato and then at the Narrator in confusion)
Pocoyo: Is Pato my friend?
Narrator: Uh.. yes?
Pocoyo: Why are we your "kids"?
Narrator: I'll explain everything later in private, but you and Pato have to listen to me!
So yeah, I think Pocoyo, Pato, and the Narrator are a father-son-adoptive-son family, excluding Elly and the others. I think Elly and the others aren't part of the family, I think they were here to accompany the brothers on the adventures while their father is just narrating or looking after his sons.
Also, when Angry Alien shows up, he says that he is happy to allow him to take over his son's world, as in Pocoyo's world, for Pocoyo. Meaning that not only he is a father, but he is okay when extraterrestrials take over the world. And another thing!
In the episode "The Silence Challenge", he even reveals that he has PARENTS! So this means that he has a mother who is like, "I challenge you to not talk while eating dinner!". Yes, he did that when he was young. She challenged him to do that because he was a bit of a chatterbox when he was young. I think he did the challenge successfully because he was a smart kid (I think because of one time he taught Pocoyo about horses). Also, I loved how Pocoyo finished his sentence (Pocoyo: Keep talking!), clever kid!

 | Not sure if this counts as a single road trip or an amalgamation of 4-5 road trips, but my GF and I took to the road through a large chunk of the American West last year. We made Salt Lake City our home base for most of the year for work and college purposes. Summarized itinerary was as follows: Leg 1: Jan 7-11 East TX to Salt Lake City, UT, with a few nights in Albuquerque/Santa Fe and Page, AZ. Leg 2: Feb 23-26 SLC to San Francisco and back, stopping by Bonneville Salt Flats, Reno, and Las Vegas. Leg 3: July 19-21 Work trip to Aspen, Co. (Still counts, right?) Leg 4: Aug 23 Single-day round trip to Shoshone Falls for a picnic with our best friend. took the long loop through Nevada to revisit Boneville Salt Flats Leg 5: Aug 25-Sep 27 The major chunk of our trip. All five Utah National Parks from north to south (Canyonlands, Arches, Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion, in that order, with a brief detour to Goblin Valley SP before CR), then bounced back up to SLC to say goodbye to friends before hitting Grand Teton and Yellowstone. From there, straight to Seattle for 5 days looping the Olympic Peninsula, then down to Oregon for Bend and Crater lake, then finally down Highway 1 in California to see the redwoods, beaches, SF again, Santa Cruz Boardwalk, and Santa Monica Pier. Beelined it back to East TX from San Diego for a family birthday. Add-on 1: October 25-27 Quick weekend family trip with my parents to Hot Springs NP in Arkansas, with a diamond-mining detour at Crater of Diamonds SP on the way back. Add-on 2: Dec 9-16 Dropped by New Orleans for a quick book signing with an author I love, then, making the most of the winter weather, we went with my folks to White Sands, Carlsbad Caverns, Guadalupe Mountains, and Big Bend National Parks, places we'd normally avoid like the plague in the summer heat. I can't summarize in words how epic 2024 was for me. Opp played Mike middle which turned to Hulk after t3. I snapped because I had prio and could Shang both his Hulks. Opp also discarded a card on t3 which allows Mike to move next turn, but he's not Miek anymore. Miek-Hulk dodged Shang, losing me the game, as I could have played Klaw mid to win right, but was forced to play him left because I knew I couldn't win right.
Intended or bug?

2025.01.30 19:10 RaziMisery Anything I can do to make newly adopted cat more comfortable?
I just adopted a 5 year old precious boy. He was the most loving and curious kitty in the shelter. I knew he’d be very nervous when I brought him home. He’s currently separated from my other cat until I begin the long introduction course.
(Preface- I just cleaned the underside of my bed and organized it so it wasn’t accessible to any cats apart from about a foot at the end and side. Im shocked a guy his size managed to get past my barrier of boxes and has found a way behind the bed) As of now he’s been hiding under my bed. I haven’t bothered him and have left him to do his own thing. He’s come out a few times, once in the middle of last night to stare at me very confusedly then offer a loud meow before he trotted back under my bed. I figure he’s been out more but I haven’t been awake to see it.
He has lots of new stuff to make him feel at home. Beds, blankets, toys. I have a food/water dish near the underside of my bed so he can stay healthy. I wanted to make the transition as easy as possible. I just feel so bad for him. It makes me feel a little guilty.
Is there anything I can do to make the transition easier for him? How did your rescue cat react the first few days of being home?
