I don’t post much here, just enjoy all yalls food post. But thought this was a good evening time to vent about the fitness industry and mindset. I’ve reached a point in fitness communities where I don’t even talk about food or nutrition. The amount of people convinced you need carbs to survive is alarming. The moment you mention carnivore or even animal based or that you don’t eat carbs the lecture comes out. I frequent the bodybuilding community and it’s the worst. I have to pull back because people will straight argue with me that you need carbs for a “balanced diet”, whatever that means these days. Reddit is usually a toxic cesspool but not this sub so grateful I found it. Do any of you engage with friends or communities and try to educate or do you avoid those conversations too and just focus on your self/spouse? Curious how other carnivores approach the topic of diet these days

This is Vicki She's a sheppit. Part pibble/staffy and german shepherd. She's a little over 2. Has 1 braincell and endless energy. 5 minute nap and She's ready to go for another 12 hours. 😭 Any plushie must be destroyed as fast as possible. Indestructible? Unheard of. I make sure she's still alive every day. I feed her. I care for her. In return? She listens to everyone but me. 🙄 She had to have her tail docked in November because she decided to start chewing on it one day and refused to stop, even in a cone. In multiple cones. Different kinds of cones. She still found a way. Several vet treatments didn't take. So now she has a nub and I call her nubby nub because of it. 😂

2025.01.31 00:08 wtuutw Must win against french

I, 1875 fide normally play 1. e4 e6 2. d4 d5 3. Nd2 against the French. I'm really happy and comfortable with the games after 3...Nf6, I play E5 c3 bd3 etc. The only downside to the tarrasch is 3...C5. it seems rather boring, is white fine yes for sure but in this scenario where I'm in a must-win game it seems to me that this gives white too little prospects. I normally play 4. Ngf3 CX 5. Ex Qx 6. Bc4 but it seems like a very slight edge into a rather drawish position, compared to other french lines.
Now my questions: am I correct in the above assesment of the 3...C5 giving too little winning chances? What other somewhat easy lines can you guys recommend? It's unlikely that I'm gonna adopt other systems for now against the French as my main weapon as I'm quite happy with the tarrasch. Just not as much in this must win game I have coming up. Thoughts?

Hello friends. I am new here, recently discovered this world as I seek to pull myself away from technology and it's damaging effects on my time and inner peace.
Removed TV, cancelled Netflix and Spotify, got a dumphone, started reading paper books... next step is a daily journal the old fashioned way, on glorious paper.
Background story aside, I need a lightweight portable notebook with a badass manly rugged looking cover. Lochby is the perfect look... but Field Journal is too huge (A5), and the Pocket Journal is too small I can barely fit 5 words on a line.
B6 is the perfect middle ground. Can you please recommend a case/folio for me?

Isaiah's gonna need a Really Good Lawyer. It would be nice if Nelson, Murdock & Page!!! Pulled up to defend Isaiah. But Jen also makes sense since she became the first superhuman lawyer on the planet, and is on speed dial with someone Sam has had multiple dinners with. I hope they're hiding a little bit of lighter comedy in the form of an attorney. It doesn't even have to be Matt. 2025.01.31 00:08 gahnity i don’t like Simple Design.

oh god. i can already feel the heat this is gonna get from a mile away. PLEASE try to change my mind, i’m very much open to changing my mind. it just never really clicked with me, i guess. i don’t really see what’s all that great about it. that being said, here are my brutally honest thoughts.
ben’s flow throughout the verses and prechoruses are… for lack of better words, grating. i find the pattern in which he says everything to be more annoying than good or catchy. now, that being said: i love the lyrics for the song. absolutely a well written song but we already know before even listening to a BB song that it’ll be well written.
ben’s vocal performance on this song is NOTHING compared to TONS of other songs in their discography. he sounds uninteresting compared to his performance on So Cold and Sooner or Later (just to name two examples from the same album.)
the chorus is good, but nothing extraordinary. not even close to top 10 BB choruses. not even top 15.
the instrumental is perfectly fine. inoffensive; i would even go so far as to say it’s generic compared to many other songs of theirs.
the best part of the song for me is actually the last 25 seconds or so, funnily enough. the energy is awesome. it really puts into perspective for me how boring and monotonous the rest of the song sounds in comparison.
in conclusion, yeah i don’t get it. please let me know how you feel about the song. i dont mean to be harsh, i just truly don’t see what’s so great about it. lmk!

Hi all,
Recently installed some interior lighting on the dash quite successfully, and wanting to do something similar on the doors, but after having tested the wiring in my megane coupe 1.6 (2013), I can’t seem to find a 12v source that only comes on when the ignition is on/not in sleep. I figured I could tap into the electric windows wiring, but I can only seem to find a 12v source that’s constant and seems to be on even after the car goes to sleep. The only other pin I found was 2-3v…
Has anyone had any experience with Megane mk3 electrics? Is there a solution to this? I haven’t tested the speaker wiring yet and was considering tapping into this instead but it’s a right pain getting the door card off so wanted to see if anyone had any ideas before I do so again?
