I did some research and came up with an all white new build for my first PC. Thought I’d ask here first to see if anyone has any suggestions about potentially making it cheaper or if the aesthetic doesn’t work etc.
• New build or upgrade? New. • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links) • PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games) • Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If not US, list local vendors) • Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate) • Budget range? (Include tax considerations) • WiFi or wired connection? • Size/noise constraints? • Cololighting preferences? • Any other specific needs?

We were falsely accused of breaking a shower drain, but neighbors confirmed the leak was an ongoing issue for months! Airbnb ignored our evidence, refused a proper refund, and now we’re out €850+ for a last-minute hotel.
The Full Story:
🚪 Check-In Issues:
- Host rushed us through check-in and admitted she hadn’t inspected the apartment properly.
- The balcony was unusable (she promised a refund but only gave us €51).
- One bathroom had no shower gel—host told us to "use the shampoo dispenser" (which later fell off the wall).
- My kid’s bedroom smelled awful, making it hard to sleep.
- After my son took a 10-minute shower, neighbors immediately knocked on our door, saying the leak had been ongoing for months and destroyed their ceiling.
- We stopped using the shower right away and told the host.
- Host organized a repair, but refused to speak to the neighbors. Not sure if the quick repair resolved the issue so we decided to leave after one night and checked in to a hotel.
- Days later, she blamed us, claiming we must have “moved the drain cover” and demanded €863 in repairs. 😡
- Host agreed to refund 3 nights, then ghosted us when Airbnb tried to confirm it.
- Airbnb left our family stranded in a foreign country and did nothing to help.
- We had to pay €896 for a last-minute hotel just to feel safe.

Why This Matters:
🚫 Hosts like this take advantage of guests and Airbnb's dispute process ⚠️ Families shouldn’t be forced to pay for pre-existing damage. 💰 Airbnb needs to stop siding with hosts in clear cases of fraud.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Has anyone successfully fought an unfair damage claim like this? Any advice on escalating the issue? We've done a chargeback, but Airbnb might challenge it.

Sou H30 e Tem uma M22 com quem eu costumava flertar; a gente se adicionou no Instagram e começamos a conversar. Até aí, tudo certo. Um dia, fui a uma confraternização e um colega me disse que estava quase namorando com ela. Para não atrapalhar a situação dele, decidi não contar que já flertava com ela e simplesmente me afastei.
Depois de um tempo, teve outra confraternização, dessa vez de uma das empresas para as quais prestamos serviço, e ela também estava lá. Durante o evento, ficou bem evidente que ela estava dando em cima de mim. Com a bebida rolando, acabei ficando com ela.
O problema é que uma amiga desse colega viu e contou para ele, e agora ele está puto comigo. Antes de qualquer coisa, perguntei para ela se estava namorando ou ficando sério com alguém, e ela me disse que estava solteira e querendo curtir a vida.
Agora estou nessa situação...

This is both a rant and a friendly remind—always hide your tools and valuables when you have strangers in your house.
I recently had a Costco third-party delivery crew come to install a new washer. Not only did they fail to install it, but one of them also stole my impact drill.
Here’s what happened:
- While I was downstairs guiding them to the laundry room, one crew member stayed with me to take a picture of the washer and have me sign off on the delivery.
- The other crew member went upstairs to pack up their dollies and tarp before loading them into the truck.
- My parents are seniors, so they likely didn’t even hear him coming upstairs to let him out. Basically allowing him to have a solid 30 seconds of no one watching him.
- My impact drill was by the front door because I had been helping my parents earlier that day. Normally, I keep it stored away.
- That same crew member took the drill, rolled it up in the tarp, and quickly left.
- The tarp had a clear bulky bulge that wasn’t there before.
- The weight distribution was off—it was heavier than it should have been, clearly because of the drill inside.
- They claimed they checked with the crew, who insisted they didn’t take anything because they "don’t need to borrow tools since they have their own."
- A weird and defensive response… but I told the manager I have clear video evidence of one of the crew members leaving with a large, hidden bulge in the tarp.
Stay safe and always be vigilant when letting workers into your home!
