2025.01.30 22:01 Appropriate-Bid-6561 My boyfriend of 3 years is joining the army. I don’t know if I can cope.
I need advice. My 23f partner 27m has always wanted to join the army but got denied way back before we met due to mental health issues. Now he’s much better but due to issues from the start of our relationship I have extremely bad mental health issues and have lost my entire life that I had before him. I rely pretty much on him now for anything social and i don’t really go out without him unless i have to, this includes doctors appointments etc. He’s recently been thinking of going back into the army and has taken solid steps towards it and is planning on going. We need a change in our relationship as I pretty much financially support us both and that’s extremely exhausting for me but I don’t want him to up sticks and move half way up the country to do that. I’m finding it really insulting as well as it’s hard to comprehend he’s willing to make massive sacrifices to join the army but not to be with me when I have previously asked him to make the same sacrifices. For example he’s a huge stoner and smokes weed everyday. He obviously will have to stop this when joining but when I asked he never would. I don’t really know what I’m asking. I just need someone who isn’t close to the situation to tell me if it’s rational to feel this heartbroken and left behind. I don’t want to force him to stay because I know he’ll resent me and eventually leave me but if he goes I fear we’ll split anyway. Is this just a sign our relationship isn’t meant to be anymore? TIA

Hey everybody,
I'm finally about to upgrade my GPU (2060), and with the 5080 releasing today, I looked into some benchmarks. Now, I'm unsure whether I should wait for the 5080 or just buy a 4080 Super for around 1200€ now.
My main use case is Karma XPU rendering. I could wait 1–2 months for the 5080 but would I gain anything from doing so?

Die aktuelle Situation wird komplett verkannt, weil sich die Diskussion nur noch um Symbolik und Moral dreht, anstatt um die eigentlichen Ursachen des Problems.
Es ist ein Irrtum zu glauben, dass die AfD nur deshalb wächst, weil CDU-Politiker wie Merz „umkippen“ oder weil es nicht genug moralische Abgrenzung gibt. Die AfD wächst, weil die etablierten Parteien – allen voran die SPD in der Regierung – es nicht geschafft haben, die realen Sorgen vieler Menschen ernst zu nehmen und pragmatische Lösungen zu liefern.
Seit Jahren gibt es Probleme bei Migration, Wohnungsnot, Wirtschaft und innere Sicherheit. Anstatt diese Themen ehrlich anzugehen, wurde sie entweder ignoriert, schöngeredet oder mit ideologischen Reflexen beantwortet. Genau das treibt Wähler in die Arme der AfD. Die Menschen wählen nicht aus Jux und Dollerei eine rechtsextreme Partei – sie tun es, weil sie das Gefühl haben, dass die Politik sie im Stich lässt.
Die SPD und die Ampel haben in den letzten Jahren nicht nur durch ihre schlechte Regierungsführung, sondern auch durch ihre selbstgerechte Kommunikation zur Stärkung der AfD beigetragen. Viele Menschen empfinden es als arrogant, wenn Kritik an der Regierung sofort als moralisch verwerflich dargestellt wird. Dieses ständige Moralisieren führt dazu, dass sich die Wähler erst recht radikalisieren.
Stattdessen erleben wir eine politische Blase, die glaubt, dass moralische Empörung allein ausreicht, um die AfD zu stoppen. Doch das Gegenteil ist der Fall: Wer die Probleme nicht angeht, sondern nur über Haltung spricht, stärkt die AfD erst recht.
Die Situation wird verkannt, weil man glaubt, dass es reicht, sich von der AfD abzugrenzen. Aber solange die Regierungsparteien keine Antworten auf die drängenden Probleme liefern, werden immer mehr Menschen glauben, dass nur die AfD sie ernst nimmt – selbst wenn das faktisch nicht stimmt. Wer die AfD stoppen will, muss Politik machen, die funktioniert, statt sich in moralischer Selbstbeweihräucherung zu verlieren.

f22 98lbs 5’4. i take 0.5 mg xanax daily for panic disorder and agoraphobia and have for about 7 months. however, i was recently given a new psych for insurance reasons, and she cannot prescribe xanax. i also don’t have a pcp at the moment, so i have to start tapering myself off, and i’ve got about 25 tablets left. is it safe to taper from this dose, are there any specific ways i should go about it?
