2025.01.31 02:00 Educational-Storm517 orthostatic hypotension with no bp drop
sorry repost since my first didn’t get any responses and I really want some advice 😭
basically what it says in the title, I recently went to the doctor for what I believe may be POTS, and got a diagnosis of orthostatic hypotension (and was also told it’s purely dehydration despite me drinking about 90 ounces of water per day). They did the stand test, and after 3 minutes of standing my heart rate had increased by 37, systolic bp had increased by 7, and diastolic bp had increased by 14.
Despite these results, I was told that I have orthostatic hypotension. My doctors explanation for this was that my blood pressure hadn’t dropped on the test because my heart had compensated for it, but I was a little skeptical since my own research showed that orthostatic hypotension by definition will show a decrease in blood pressure on standing.
What do you all think of this?

This is something extra I wanna point out regarding the sunburn ship. In my opinion I always believed the ship was canon in some way shape or form as it was hinted at and heavily implied throughout the game. While people would argue sunflower the thing is that romance was never implied between the two just two besties going through the horrors. While in headspace People argued that Like Aubrey liking Omori is like what sunny wants to believe but in terms of the personalities of The characters I believe there has been at least some truth To the personalitys. Especially with the Autumn Mod (where it's meant to be a prequel before the main game of omori) where it shows That Aubrey Pre Incident did have something for Sunny. The same thing goes around too. Another thing to point out at the swing set After the incident Aubrey still states that oh hey I still care about you n stuff despite the four year shut in. Another thing to mention is that Aubrey was trying to ask sunny before the Group entered the backyard to Let him know if it was fine for him to visit when he moved. In terms of how people approach the ship I believe the most well done characterization is the How we subsist fic as in my opinion stayed in character aside from a few nit picks (like sunny talking for example although it is left to interpretation).

I've been meal prepping lately in response to my schedule getting busier and in a few days my schedule is going to start getting tighter than ever before. Meal prepping on my off days is an excellent way to reduce my stress during the week. However, I find that almost EVERY food to me tastes worse left over, and I struggle to eat anything that I prepped more than three days ago. Not very conducive to my schedule. I also can't stand to eat the same meal more than two or three times in a row. I've solved for that one by just prepping a couple of different meals at once, it's exhausting but it gets the job done. The thing I can't find a solution to is the decline in flavor as the week progresses. Is there some secret trick to maintaining flavor, especially for meat in particular? Am I simply too much of a diva? If anyone has any handy tips for preserving flavor when prepping meals for the week I'm DYING to hear them. (Side note: if you're gonna say freeze them, don't, in my experience the freezing and thawing process does nightmarish things vis a vis texture, I'm very texture sensitive lol)

2025.01.31 02:00 generalbaer Going from one match away to Plat to Bronze 1 in the past 4 days, how to not give up hope
On Monday of this week I decided to start playing competitive to see how high I can get in this game.
For reference on the kind of gamer I am, I reached Masters in Overwatch 1, Diamond in Overwatch 2 on Tank and Support, and had pretty good success on a TF2 Highlander competitive team (NA Gold division).
In the span of 4 hours on Monday, I went from Bronze 3 to Gold 1 and every game during that time was a stomp (only lost 1 game). Decided that I had climbed good and got off for the day. And since Tuesday of this week I slowly deranked until today when I lost a match and deranked back to Bronze 1.
I'm not some amazing cracked gamer, and I do mess up in my matches at time. And I don't even aspire to reach Grandmaster or above (I have a full time job). But I just can't put into words how awful and unfun it is to have climbed so high only to end each day being a lower rank than I started.
Should I stop playing altogether? What is the secret to not losing my mind on ladder? The Discord server so far has just essentially told me to git gud, and you know what, fair enough, there is always room to be better.
I primarily play vanguard, main Groot secondary Strange, and I do often flex on support (Rocket, Loki, CnD if I have to).
Maybe I have just gotten significantly worse over these past few days, I'm not sure. I've also considered climbing with a stack since I have seen many people cite that it was the only way they could climb. Just looking for reasons to continue to play this game.
