Is anyone having issues of being accepted into ARAK? Myself and my friend can get into every other M+ but when it comes to ARAK no one lets us in… can anyone think of a reason? Our M+ score is 2164 so wouldn’t have thought it could be that?
We’ve completed it on a ++5 but now we can’t get into +6s for it!
Do people look for something specifically when applying for ARAK?

2025.01.30 22:32 Dyslexic_Poet_ Selected of PhD and told we will go for paperwork but now is null
Tldr I was congratulated on being the first candidate and will be provided the contract soon, to have to apply again 3 months after because auditing.
Well that. Basically 3 month ago I had to choose in between two options. Take the second that had better benefits as I was told I was first candidate and all the paperwork would be done by the end of that month.
The contract got kicked a few times for very well explained and reasonable reasons... Today, like 3 month after that initial congratulations from the professor, I was told that they messed up and will have to do the whole process again because they did not follow the right auditing process. I need to re apply and so on.
Now I can wait for the auditing version that it will take like month and a half more. Obviously I will stay to apply to other PhDs to be safe ... I feel so insulted .. and yes I have a mail trail about the situation.

The built in Shopify privacy cookie popup lets you easily set your choices, but there’s no way to bring it back to change choices which is a GDPR requirement.
Informing people how they can go about deleting cookies from with your privacy policy isn’t enough to be compliant.
So, how can the popup be re-initiated?
Ideally a “Cookies” link that when clicked, it brings back the choices…

Hello, I’d been looking to get a prenup, both me and my partner agreed it’s a good idea just to have assets figured out in an unfortunate divorce. We were looking for a lawyer and I’d been called by one who was an older attorney.
The talk: we’d both greeted each other. He’d asked me how much me and my partner make I make 75k she makes 35k. He’d asked me how much asset I have and I’d said 150k in total with 100k in investments and my finance net worth 12k. He’d said” you don’t make enough money for a prenup to be worth it, after you get married all your investments count as marital income and is distributed evenly” I’d asked if there was any way to write in the prenup that my money and investments stay with me and her investments would be hers and he’s told me “it won’t hold up in court because it’s married income”
I’m confused now. I’d the lawyer lying about it being a waste of money and not worth it? Is it possible his own idealism about it only being worth it if you’re very rich already? Did I just misunderstand what a prenup could do? My gut feeling is he gave me bad advice but it’s possible I’m wrong?
Is it worth it to get a prenup in my situation?

Hey all, just wondering if this community thinks there are any career opportunities for individuals with a background working in Conservation and Environmental Science. I’ve worked outside in adverse conditions for over a decade now doing various projects property surveying, landscaping, operating small heavy equipment and utvs, leading scientific analysis surveys, and fighting wildland fires. During that time I also kind of switched sides politically and am tired of the constant DEI favoritism in my field, since most jobs are funded by the State. Would any of my skills be transferable to the fossil fuel industry? Yeah I believe in climate change but fossil fuels power the world and are way better than the alternatives right now imo. Always respected what the industry does for the economy and admired the people who run it on the ground.

Hello! Selling my 50mm summicron f2. Lens does not come with the original caps. In my other post, I stated that I believed it was the version 4 lens, but looking at the dates from the serial number (and the hood which I guess is actually exclusive to the 5th version?) I'm pretty sure it's actually the fifth version of the lens. Apologies if I'm wrong. Lens has cosmetic wear, but the glass is clean and I've shot beautiful photos with it.

I'm new at running LLMs locally. I want to download and archive some of the larger version of the deepseek model that was released recently from their huggingface page. I know about using the gguf files but I noticed when I went to download their models it was split into a lot of safetensor files instead of a single gguf file. What can I do about this? I would prefer to have a single file if possible. I'm aware I can't run the larger models locally, but I'm a bit of a data hoarder and would like to archive them.
