Soy alguien de 29 años que lleva casi toda mi adultes trabajando de guardia de departamentos y actualmente soy panadero. Desde que era más chico siempre fui bien metido en el mundo de los computadores, instalando software, formateando, arreglando uno que otro problema a algún amigo o pariente con su pc, etc... Y en los últimos 2-3 años me pico el bicho de estudiar algo dentro de esta área de la informática. El único problema que casi siempre me ha hecho tirarme para atrás, es el tema de las matemáticas, y siempre de niño he tenido promedios rojos. Un amigo me había recomendado estudiar Técnico en redes si es que tenia problemas con los números. Entonces nose que estudiar, si técnico en programación o redes, y también que se me haría mas "comodo". También me gustaría saber que tipo de áreas se podría buscar trabajo un técnico en redes ? Pregunto desde la total ignorancia de este mundo. Eso cabros. Saludos!

2025.01.31 02:11 shmallkined Works good on Legion Go but unusable on iOS and Mac OS.
I'm using a wired ethernet gigabit connection on both ends. At home I have a beast of a PC wired to gigabit internet service. All the latest updates. At my remote location, I've tried a Legion Go first. Wired gigabit ethernet connection. Absolutely stunning, works perfectly and looks amazing.
Next, on a different day, I tried an iPad Pro with an M1. During the speed test (tried all three), it said the usual "Oh snap" and it says my internet connection is too slow. I've tried the Cloudflare speed test and both come back with good or great for all three streaming categories. I don't have the Legion Go with me to see if it's still working as good as last week.
Just want to understand what's happening and if I can do anything about it besides go back to using the Legion Go.

My ex-boyfriend M (28) and I (F, 26) broke up almost nine months ago. We had a five-year relationship and were pretty serious. The reason we broke up was that I moved to another country, and long story short, things were getting pretty bad and toxic.
We broke up “amicably”—or at least, that’s what I thought. We stayed connected on social media and were even on each other’s CF on Instagram. But one day, I noticed that he had unfollowed me and everyone he knew through me (my friends, cousins, and roommates). He even had his mom and sisters unfollow me. I’m not going to lie—it hurt a lot because I was really close to them.
He also owed me some money, and we had agreed that he would pay me back in monthly installments. When he finished the payments, he sent me a message letting me know, and then immediately deleted my contact on WhatsApp (I realized this because I could no longer see his profile picture.) I was confused but tried to be understanding, thinking that maybe this was what he needed to heal properly after our breakup.
I was trying not to overthink the situation until my mom came to visit me. We were talking about different things when she suddenly mentioned that he watches every story she posts on WhatsApp. Of course, she had been posting a lot of pictures with me and updates about my life—new friends I hang out with and even the new person I’m seeing. When my mom told me he was seeing her stories, I got really anxious that he would see this new person I’m with. Even though I don’t owe him any explanation because we’re no longer in a relationship, I still ended up asking my mom not to post anything about us as a couple.
Should I do the same? Should I unfollow people I know who are still friends with him on social media? I feel like that would be immature because I genuinely don’t care about them. I even have them muted on Instagram—if he doesn’t want me to see anything about him, I won’t. But at the same time, it makes me uncomfortable. And I feel really stupid for letting this issue consume so much of my energy.

I need some help here. I have a firewall rule on my Unifi Gateway max to block all traffic between vlans which works great. However, what's strange to me is my LG TV and other devices are trying to connect to a VLAN/IP that doesn't exist on my network. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening? Thanks

With the recent Eaton Fire, I’m wondering how this might impact real estate values in Pasadena surviving homes.
Even before the fire, we were planning to sell our house within 3 to 4 years and move abroad to spend time with parents. But with everything that’s happened, we’re reassessing our options. We’re located about a mile away from the fire zone.
I know that insurance challenges could make it harder for potential buyers to secure a mortgage, but at the same time, the fire has reduced housing supply, which could drive demand for existing homes, where Pasadena was already in demand. I'm guessing a good portion of affected homeowners might take the insurance payout and choose not to rebuild.
We’re open to selling sooner—possibly as early as this summer—if the market conditions look right. Renting it out is also an option since there’s demand, but I know being a landlord in California comes with its own set of challenges.
Would love to hear thoughts from others—how do you think this fire will impact home values in Pasadena? Do you see prices rising due to lower supply, or will insurance difficulties outweigh demand plus the fear of future wildfires?

I was recently terminated "without cause" following a letter to my colleagues I posted in a work group chat. The letter outlined my thoughts and feelings about what I perceived to be workplace harassment about my appearance, weight, and eating habits over the course of the year I worked there
I've heard employers will often request/require you to address your colleagues directly before filing an official report/complaint.
The situation was extra tricky because everyone in my workplace was participating, including my boss, who co-owns with her husband. I felt i couldn't report her and the others to him because of this conflict of interest. Everyone in the workplace was equally involved.
Anyway, I was fired "without cause" immediately after this message was sent out.
The letter was very long but respectful. I did mention this briefly to my boss following an incident a few days prior but no action was being taken to confront everyone and end the harassment
Everyone i know is telling me this was illegal and I should sue them, but I don't know.
My former employer says he was within his rights under the ESA to fire me, and is talking about "severance pay" being paid out to me immediately, and refusing to give me a certificate of completion of their training. but my biggest concern is
- was it illegal for them to fire me without cause when I confronted my coworkers about workplace harassment?
- is there a difference between severance pay and termination pay? How much am I owed in this situation?
- do I have a legal leg to stand on if I didn't file an official report before this incident?
- should I file a complaint with the labour board OR file a lawsuit?

Kaso lagi na poppstpone dahil ayaw pa non ng mother ko since bata pa kami. Pero nung time na magpaplan na kami at pumayag na ung mother ko, nagkasakit sya bigla at sa ksamaang palad nawala sya samin. Kya after a year nawala ng mother ko, nag decide kami na mag palano ng kasal dahil wala naman na problema. Support naman both sides samin pati friends.
Kaso nung nagpa book na kami ng simbahan, unavailable ung ibang dates. At kailangan namin sabado para makaattend ung ibang friends and relatives namin dahil working at nasa ibang bansa pa ung iba.
Ung lola ko, gusto maliwanag daw ung bwan pag kinasal kami. (Idc what kind of supersticious is that. Hindi talaga kami naniniwala sa mga ganyan ng fiance ko pati ng parents ko) nag try kami ibook ung mga date na okay sa lola ko. Pero lahat naka reserve na. Nag coconflict sa coordinator namin. Pag okay sa church, sa coordinator hindi. Dahil ung iba, nag advance booking na from last year. Pag sabi ko sa lola ko na ganon, bigla syang nag dabog at tumaas ung boses. Sabi nya “Ayaw ko yan!! Hindi yan maganda. Walang buwan! Madilim yan” nagulat kami ng fiance ko sa reaction nya. Gusto pa ni lola na, sabihan ung coordinator na mag adjust sa date na gusto namin. At kung hindi daw sila mag adjust, ibang coordinator kukunin namin. Like wth? Grabeng dasal ginawa ko para lng makuha ung coordinator nato para sa kasal namin dahil lagi silang fully book. Sobrang mahal din ng packages nila pero binigay lahat sakin ng fiance ko ung gusto ko. Dahil isang beses lang daw kami ikakasal. Ayoko talaga to pakawaln dahil para sakin, sila talaga may pinaka magandang styling sa mga events lalo na para sa theme namin. (Nasa province ksi kami kaya bihira makahanap ng maayos na coordinator at hindi scammer)
My dad is comforting me and told me na, palipasin nalang daw ung nga araw at magiging okay din daw ung lola ko. My dad is very supportive. Hindi rin takaga sita naniniwala sa mga supersticious beliefs kaso alam nyang lola ko nagpalaki samin at nag alaga kaya nirerespeto nya parin gusto ni lola.
Pero pano kung hanggang sa malapit na unng kasal hindi parin sya umo-okay? Ayoko din may samaan kmi ng loob. Nagtatampo na din ung fiance ko na lagi daw siya nag aadjust mula noon. Nahihiya na din ako skanila ng family nya kasi lagi kami ung problema.
Ako ba ung mali dito? Kasi mas pinili kong okay ung date para sa mga bisita namin? Mahal ko ang lola ko at ayokong galit sya sakin. Pero wala lang talaga kaming choice kundi magpakit ng coordinator or hayaan ang lola ko at hintayin na humupa ung galit nya. Ayaw na namin ipostpone sa ibang bwan pa dahil gusto talaga namin ung June. Pero nakakasama parin talaga ng loob na parang siya ung ikakasal imbes na ako. Dahil gusto nya sya mag desisyon.
