I don't have to tell you things are bad. Everybody knows things are bad. It's a depression. Everybody's out of work or scared of losing their job. The dollar buys a nickel's worth; banks are going bust; shopkeepers keep a gun under the counter; punks are running wild in the street, and there's nobody anywhere who seems to know what to do, and there's no end to it.
We know the air is unfit to breathe and our food is unfit to eat. And we sit watching our TVs while some local newscaster tells us that today we had fifteen homicides and sixty-three violent crimes, as if that's the way it's supposed to be!
We all know things are bad -- worse than bad -- they're crazy.
It's like everything everywhere is going crazy, so we don't go out any more. We sit in the house, and slowly the world we're living in is getting smaller, and all we say is, "Please, at least leave us alone in our living rooms. Let me have my toaster and my TV and my steel-belted radials, and I won't say anything. Just leave us alone."
Well, I'm not going to leave you alone.
I want you to get mad!
I don't want you to protest. I don't want you to riot. I don't want you to write to your Congressman, because I wouldn't know what to tell you to write. I don't know what to do about the depression and the inflation and the Russians and the crime in the street.
All I know is that first, you've got to get mad.
You've gotta say, "I'm a human being, goddammit! My life has value!"
So, I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window, open it, and stick your head out and yell,
"I'm as mad as hell,
and I'm not going to take this anymore!!"

We've been together for +10 years, I try to trust him now.
Today I noticed he had "Do not disturb" mode on his phone, it triggered my betrayal trauma so I just asked why he had it on. He said it was because he does not like being disturbed while sleeping. Okay, that makes sense.
I was happy with the answer, and was ready to leave it be, but he instantly started to almost argue, kept asking about it, saying he does not understand why it bothers me. He asked many times, I tried to explain that I asked for my own peace of mind. (I didnt even suspect anything, just wanted a confirm that its just in my head lol) He was very angry because "I am controlling and not letting him even use dnd" and "control everything he does".
He agreed that I disabled his private browsing from his phone few months ago, I previously told him it still doesnt prove anything. Now he mentioned that previous conversation too, and said he doesn't understand why we even have these restrictions on his phone if I think it doesn't prove anything.
Then he asked why I only think about myself all the time. Why dont I think how this situation makes him feel. This really hurt me, as the part where he thought about how I feel didnt excist. And I just dont understand why he acts like I offend him if I ask anything.
I just feel like I want to cry, I don't understand why he reacts like that if I just ask simple question of DND. He escalated the situation instantly. I dont feel like I have safe space at all to ask or discuss my feelings after all these years of betrayal. The same behaviour pattern just keeps happening every time I ask or try to talk about this.

The fist time I watched this show, I was in my late teens and I was sad about what happened to him.
Now I am in my early 30s, with little kids who need me? Watching them take apart the dirt bike and move the dirt has me absolutely gutted. I had to pause the show because I felt so awful in a way I never did the first time I watched this show.
Drew is just GONE. His death is sad but what's worse is that he is vanished into thin air for anyone else who knows him. Dismantling the bike? The object is part of this boys life. It's a part of him. His parents will never find the thing he loved more in this world.
His parents will never find him. They don't even get the closure of a body. They will never know if he's dead, or scared, or anything. Until the day they die, they will never know. A lifetime of it. Fuckin hell.
I used to feel the saddest over Andrea, but now I feel Drew may have taken the top spot. I just can't imagine never knowing what happened to my son.

My school is not an IB school, but rather, it has a very small IBDP. Our coordinators have just assigned the Extended Essay to us last week but made the final draft deadline tomorrow. I fear I have not gotten very far, only just now familiarizing myself with my sources. I was just wondering if anybody knew the official deadline to submit the Extended Essay to IB for 2025 (with hopes of potentially convincing my coordinators to provide us with a much-needed extension).

Apart from decent weather. I think a big indoor market open 7 days a week similar to the Time Out market in Lisbon. I also think the parks need to be better lit at night. Same with reservoirs and lochs in the area. Light them up and make them accessible for people looking for walks and runs in the evenings in winter.

I'm trying to find where I can find the Evening Sentinel for Stoke On Trent online.
I looked on British newspaper archives but weirdly they have the Staffordshire Sentinel but it's a slightly different page than the page I'm looking for. I've already opened this page and it's the wrong page.
It seems like the page may have a couple of articles on it that might be beneficial ancestrally.
