2025.01.30 23:43 v1_rocketboy Optilume Feedback for anyone experienced with recovery.

I recently went through the Optilume procedure at the recommendation of my urologist. I was diagnosed with a short 8-10 French diameter stricture in my bulbar urethra. I wasn’t having issues voiding or a lot of pain. It was just a longer time at the toilet. I’m 38 yo and the doc was surprised I lived with it this long. In fact I don’t recall ever shaving this good of a stream!
Anyway, I had the procedure 6 days ago, and had a catheter for 3 days which was removed 3 days ago. I had some initial bleeding after the catheter of course, but it stopped being visible in the past couple of days. Some decent burning as well which I am told will be present for a few weeks at least. However this afternoon I was going and towards the end of the stream I had some pretty significant burning pain to the point of yelling and starting to sweat. A blood clot and visible blood was present. I just went again and the same thing happened except the pain was about half as much. So maybe it’s getting better, no change to stream.
Part of me is afraid that something tore off and it will cause another scar. I have read that there will be scabbing that can come off, but this literally feels like someone is poking a hot rod up my urethra. I guess what I’m getting at is; is this pretty normal? I’m assuming there are good and bad days? Thanks to those with any input!

I've been using a Sennheiser PC38x (I think they might've rebranded them) headset for awhile now and they've once again failed on me. They're nice headphones but they always end up having some sort of issues no matter how much I take care of them.
I use them for music and gaming but the quality of music matters to me more than my gaming experience.
My budget is between $150 to $200 and I live in the U.S. Also I'm not sure if this is helpful but I've paired them with a SoundBlaster Zx soundcard and they work wonderfully together.

2025.01.30 23:43 DaviTheDud How long after an MRI (if it reveals anything) would I get surgery for a possible pituitary tumor?

I just went to see an old eye doctor today and he ordered an MRI of my brain. Me personally I’m fairly certain it’s a non functioning pituitary tumor since I have a ton of hypothyroidism symptoms, and the pressure is right behind my eyes and nose, up into my forehead as well.
How long do you think it would take if they see anything large/needing immediate surgery? Would it be within hours/days, or would I have to wait a week or two?

I’m going to start with I’m pregnant, pissed off and feeling irrationally angry. I made a pizza for myself, my kid and my husband for after the kiddo came home and before dinner. This was also because I announced I am incredibly hungry and was making the pizza primarily for myself. There were exactly two slices left over from the pizza sitting there. Husband ate one. Okay didn’t think much of it but noticed because i definitely wanted one more slice. Mind you. We each already had at least 2 slices. The last slice remains and I was saving it for when I started the stove top dinner items. I am already sorta annoyed with my husband because he turns off a show to play I game, I ask if he ordered something he was supposed to online, he didn’t so I say “haha get off the game then so I can finish my show! You can get back to it after my episode” he laughs too it’s fairly lighthearted. Now he gets up to get some juice and overall is in and out of the kitchen. I say after my episode I will finish up dinner (the squash is STILL baking as I type) well he cusps the corner shoveling absolutely shoveling the last slice down his face and I actually start crying. I say I wanted that for while I cooked… he says “well I’m hungry” I stop my episode, get up and start in on dinner saying loud comments about “I’m hungry too! That’s why I’m cooking!!! With no help!!! How many times have I asked you if you wanted the last slice????? Before I eat the last of anything?!?” I’m so angry even right now. What makes me angrier is he didn’t even finish the stupid goddamn slice of pizza and left it out in the open and we have a dog!!!! I’m so fucking mad I’m so heated and I’m overall just angry that he didn’t even offer it for me or the kid. Just eats all the food that I make or prepare, he will do something on the tv without asking if I want to play or join or watch something with him he is being an inconsiderate asshole towards me and I’m mad. My question is…. Am I overreacting? I feel like this would have hurt my feelings pregnant or not :/ I always offer the last piece to him and he didn’t even do it for me his pregnant wife.

I have noticed after starting my car and backing out of my driveway when I put my car in drive and come to slow down at my first stop sign... I am hearing what is almost a click/popping noise that’s coming from underneath my car. It only seems to happen when breaking coming to my first stop and goes away after that. Is this normal or do I need to be concerned. My cx-9 only has 30k miles on it. Just purchased about a month ago!

While every applicant has to completed all of the hiring steps (unless waived or still valid), the individual steps may not be in the same order for everyone. There may not be a set format or pattern for completing steps.
Timeframes for each step vary widely depending on numerous factors. Again, as with the order of the steps, there is no set timeframe for you to be contacted for the next step in the process. Be patient, monitor your hiring portal, email, and answer your phone.
I haven't heard from CBP in a while, should I be worried?
In the federal government, things take a long time and typically, no news is good news. Calling and emailing your case manager, the hiring center, or any other CBP department to ask; "Are we there yet"? will not cause your application to move any faster. Your message will either be ignored or you will get an automated message with little to no information.
The CBP hiring process can be quick or it can take anywhere from 6 to 12 months. Everyone's background and requirements are different so there is no set timeline for someone to go from application to EDO. Be patient.
The minimum requirements for entry level 1896 BPA are clearly listed on the job announcement. If you meet the minimum requirements and you're interested in the position, apply.
If you receive any communication from the CBP Hiring Center, your case manager, your background investigator, or any other CBP official, contact them directly and follow their guidance.
Despite the fact that there are various members of CBP on this Subreddit, it is impossible to predict or accurately forecast a suitability outcome for any applicant. Each applicant's background is reviewed prior to a suitability decision and the "Whole Person Approach" is applied. While anecdotal evidence and testimony may be reassuring or disheartening, it is highly unreliable. One applicant's issue may be enough for a DQ, while another applicant with the same issue may be found unsuitable.
Multiple factors are considered such as recency, mitigating/aggravating circumstances, age of applicant, conduct since, etc. If you believe your issue is something that could cause you to not be hired by CBP, we still encourage you to apply and get the official answer of YES/NO from CBP directly. More likely than not, your issue is much more minor than you believe it to be.
The eQIP is a standard government form and should be completed accurately and thoroughly. Furthermore, you are expected to be 100% honest to each question on the eQIP. Since the eQIP is a standard government form, it is widely used by the federal government. However, each agency decides what standards and adjudicative measures they wish to apply and what issues they consider minor or serious. CBP's hiring standards have changed and continue to evolve. Compared to many other agencies, CBP is very lenient and considers the "Whole Person Concept"
That being said, intentional omissions or false statements on the eQIP will cause your process to be delayed and will typically result in being disqualified. If you knowingly lie on the eQIP or omit a material fact, the lack of candor will be considered a much more serious concern than the issue you're trying to conceal.
CBP conducts a full background investigation in compliance with federal regulations for national security positions. You will undergo a Tier 5 Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with a full scope poly. For more information, please search this sub or utilize Google.

Have you also noticed that there are very few websites with truly beautiful, clean, minimalist 2D vector illustrations, aside from Studio Alternativi? Personally, I can’t think of many others. What do you think about this? Do you know of any good sites in this direction?
Also, as a student, I’ve realized that you could make money with vector graphics, but there aren’t many platforms where you can upload and sell them, like a marketplace for vector art. What do you think about that?
