I've met so many laggers in the meantime, that it sometimes gets annoying. Even if I can twist it and use it for myself, it could be avoided.
It's why I get why some people buy it for console and for PC, because the possibility on the console that it suddenly slows down Is way lower, since all of them are the same hardware and it's optimized for that. It's annoying when your vanishing timing etc. get's so massively manipulated by it... And I bet like with other fighting games that there are people who do it on purpose to get an advantage from it, like some do it on sf6
That's why Imo there should be a lag-detection and/or a benchmark that checks BEFORE you can play online if your hardware is capable to play it fluently. That way it also can actually compare gameplay to lag. And as we see it in online games on the bottom right, it shows us when the performance goes down and even on which site...
Then the players should either be only mixed with other players that lag too, or they should receive a penalty, especially when it's detected they could've used tools for it. That way people are forced to fix their problems before playing online and ruining the experience for others.
What do you guys think, too harsh or necessary?

2025.01.30 23:47 YummyStyrofoamSnack Mac's Dock keeps resetting to the exact same apps every time I restart
For whatever reason, when I booted up my Mac this morning, every time I restart the startup will happen, before my screen briefly flickers and the dock removes all my apps I put in there previously and defaults to the exact same ones that I assume my school has put in place: Finder, Launchpad, Chrome, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Teams, Onedrive, Audacity and the Self-Service.
I've tried killing the Dock in my terminal, I've restarted over and over, but it just repeatedly resets itself to the exact same apps and removes all the ones I explicitly put there after I restart or login. It might be due to my school's admin settings, but it hasn't happened before and the last update was more than a week ago. How do I stop it from doing this and keep my preset apps in the dock?

I personally enjoyed it but when you compare the trailers to the actual game, they just didn't do enough. Pianosorous , Yarnaby and Harley Sawyer especially.
Do we even find out who attacked Kissy Missy?
I think the chapter peaked for me with the TV head robots chase part. It was definitely better then what I expected.

Hi, might be a dumb question but I am a little out of my depth here. Are owner distribution and contribution accounts closed out at the end of the year?
If so, what should I do to fix prior year’s balance sheets on QBO? Previous 2 bookkeepers who trained me never said anything about it and it doesn’t look like they ever closed out the account so it just shows the all time balances when I pull up the BS. Now I am panicking because I am not sure how to fix this or if I need to see professional help.

2025.01.30 23:47 Long-Report8274 Iron causing a humming sound BUT...
I have a clothes iron that I usually use 2-3 times a week. The other night, when I unplugged it, I got a buzz/humming noise, which I know is not good. I tried it in another receptacle to see if I could identify the problem and got the same result. (Note: It did not have a buzz/hum when I first plugged it in to use it that evening.)
I went back to the original receptacle with other things (and again with the second receptacl) and plugged them in with no abnormal results (granted, I understand the 1500 watt iron dwarfs their input no matter what).
I remembered today that the two outlets I used the other night are on the same circuit, despite being on opposite sides of the room, so I wanted to try a dedicated outlet before ordering a new iron, just to gather more information and to be sure the iron was the problem, since I goofed the other night picking a receptacle on the same chain.
I have a receptacle that I think is dedicated, I just need to double check it's not the end of a line (we have a ton of daisy-chaining in this house), but I went with it for now. Plugging the iron into the bottom outlet produced no buzz/hum. Plugging it into the top one, did.
I'm still going to be buying a lower wattage iron, but I'm wondering how I could get two different results from the same receptacle. I'm not super electrically savvy, but I think I know enough to understand basic concepts. Can anyone explain to me what's going on with the bottom outlet being fine? I've never seen/heard of that being a thing. Does that mean I could use the iron in that outlet even if I couldn't use it in the top one on that receptacle?

I’ve been experiencing persistent pain in the metatarsophalangeal joint of my big toe for quite some time. I’ve had tests such as MRI and X-rays, and all the doctors (orthopedists, rheumatologists, and podiatrists) have said everything looks normal. I haven’t been diagnosed with arthritis or any obvious bone problems.
My symptoms include:
Pain in the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe (the "belly" of the toe).
Visible (although small) fluid in the MRI in the area of pain.
Pain increases when walking, becoming unbearable after a while.
When it’s at its worst, the pain radiates up the leg, passing through the knee and going up to the inner thigh.
Rest and ice temporarily relieve the pain.
Consultations and exams I’ve already done:
Orthopedists (3 doctors) → Said that my foot looked normal and the exams didn’t show anything significant.
Rheumatologists (2 doctors) → Confirmed that I don’t have any rheumatic disease.
Podiatrist → No real solution for my case.
Tests conducted:
MRI and X-rays, no signs of fractures or major structural changes.
Despite all these consultations, no doctor has been able to diagnose the cause of my pain. Some possibilities I’ve considered are nerve compression or peripheral neuropathy, but no specialist has suggested seeing a neurologist.
Questions for the community:
Has anyone gone through something similar or knows of any similar cases?
What type of specialist should I see next? Could a neurologist be the best option?
Is there any more specific test I should request to investigate the cause of the pain further?
Do you know any doctors or clinics specialized in this type of issue (preferably in Europe, as I’m willing to travel for treatment if necessary)?
I’m desperate to find a solution, as the pain is significantly limiting my life. Any suggestions or experiences you can share would be greatly appreciated!

I don't have my source code, as it is at work. So, I'll try to mimic what I remember from it. I don't have lots of Java experience so please take it easy on me. I've added lines to make it easier to read.
This is essentially what I'm trying to do, but I'm getting an error that simpleArr can't be enclosed in the timer method. I've tried moving line 1 around as well as moving line 5 around and can't get it to work. If I'm making this too complicated, please let me know. My issue is that I don't know how else to go about constantly updating the simpleArr, but I have to keep it updating basically forever. And wow you guys were right, I haven't played since 3.23 and had a couple hours to spare so jumped in:
- Got to my personal hangar, got stuck in interact mode had to quit to desktop
- Got in my ship but bindings were all messed up (as expected), while changing bindinds my T16000M decided to start acting like a 360 controller and couldn't bind some buttons since some act like switching tabs so had to resort to editing the xml file and lots of tweaking in arena
- Tried to get back in to PU and stuck with login queue position 1 for 10+ minutes
- 2 retries later and got infinite loading screen
- 2 hours gone and I have to go to bed for work
