Hey all, thanks in advance for any insight you may be able to provide here.
I’m 33, newly single (M) and am having a rough time right now. I have been in the same position, same company for 4 years now. I make decent money ($120k), but I hate it. It’s boring, and the upward mobility is somewhat limited. If I work hard this year, I’ll make VP and likely bump up to $140k total. I work in a fintech role, with an Econ degree.
I own a house, in which I have $235k in equity
I own a rental property that cash flows $1200/month, with $200k in equity.
I have $145k in VOO, $65k in a HYSA.
$100k in my 401k
All in all, my NW is ~$700k
But I just don’t get it. I’m sad. I want to be fulfilled, but I live away far from family & in a city that isn’t incredibly great, although it’s afforded me a great opportunity to build my net worth
Idk, just rambling now. Putting my thoughts into words and hoping this strikes a chord with someone out there.

Hey Skyrim ppl! So shortest bit of info. Im on my second serious playthrough of the game, but the first one was a couple years ago so i dont remember much. Playing thru the game in Survival expert mode to spice it up a little. So the thing is, i like being a thief, its something that i always do in RPGs, stealing shit is in my nature. But with all that expert survival, i had to take game a bit more seriously, cuz ppl werent lying about damage sponges in this game, everything barely can die, i started in master but had to downgrade cuz i came to concluison that i either go to wiki and find out where the good gear is or just lower the difficulty. With this came the question, how do i balance savescumming for myself? Just saving a lot is fine with me, but i tend to just save before i steal stuff from people, which feels a bit unfair to the game. On the other hand, i dont want to not save before, stealing is just a matter of luck and rng, so either i have to go into jail every 5 minutes, or i just dont steal, because it really is easier to not steal stuff than keeping on getting more and more bounties. I wonder if theres a middleground that will allow me to actually steal shit like i love to do, and not just suffer in jails

Hi I live in France and here we have universal healthcare that can take care of mental health treatment with free institutions but also if you’re eligible you can apply to something for disabled people (including mental disabilities) and get up to 1k€ monthly. I was wondering if there was a system like that in China ? I read online psychiatric problems can be taken care of but it’s taboo, people are ashamed of doing it so they often don’t and those who do have to stay silent or they get shamed by relatives etc.

"Wir bestellen die Corona Impfung schon seit 2 Jahren nicht mehr. Es ist ja auch nur ein Virus und wird behandelt, wie die anderen Viren" mit einem Lachen.
Ich war etwas entsetzt, weil ich dachte dass es schon noch etwas anders sei. Sonst wären nicht die "paar" Menschen gestorben, wenn es eine entspannte Viren-Erkrankung ist?
Oder verstehe ich da was nicht, immerhin ist sie meine Ärztin und SOLLTE es besser wissen und ich verlasse mich normalerweise auch auf das, was mein Arzt mir sagt.

I understand there’s a handful of covers on the album, but given the reuse of the lyric from ‘Kangaroo’, “Oh I want you / Like a kangaroo” at the end of ‘The Last Ray’, as well as the titular lyric as the final lyric of (both the album and song) ‘A Single Wish’, I’ve always wondered if there was a conceptual meaning behind the title of the album or the album as a whole.
Does anyone know if this is the case? Or maybe ‘It’ll End In Tears’ was simply intended to have a cohesive overarching theme?
