Hi there,
I'm an RN who's been in healthcare for roughly a decade, I'm moving countries in a few years from US to AUS to live with my SO and decided that to leave healthcare as a profession and pursue IT because I have a genuine interest in technology, i'm willing to work as a nurse until I move and then pursue IT.
What advice do y'all have in transitioning to IT as a career? Assuming I have basically no knowledge in the IT field, should I work on getting basic certifications now, while i'm in America? (I heard Comptia A+, network+ and sec+ is a good start?) and try to land a part time job as a entry level help desk while I continue to work as a RN?

When Hu Tao was first released, She was not mentioned in the livestream and didn't have any trailer I think and she was introduced like 2-3 days before her banner. Keqing's banner was ongoing at that time when Hu Tao was introduced.
Many people said that since Hu Tao is associated with death and they don't want to reveal such character during the Lantern rite which is basically Chinese New year.
But this year, they went all in with Hu Tao as the main focus of the story and the entire thing revolved around life and death.
How were they able to make such a bold storyline currently but could not even introduce her before?. Is it because of Genshin popularity being higher than before?

- Battlemaster: This card saved my ass so many times. It used to be tier 5 and gain +1 health but there was no armor and everyone was at 40 HP. A 3/30 something was actually a pretty big minion back then.
- Captain Flat Tusk: Managerie build with Aggem was one of my favorite build of all time. Even without Aggem it can still pump the quilboar that gives all your minions attack. It was super satisfying.
- Cave Hydra: It probably made more sense to give cleave to pirates since beasts already have enough going on but I just miss it so much.

- Megasaur: Getting rid of this card was one of, if not the biggest balance change ever made. Instant DS poison on all minions is just too op. Murloc was undisputed best end-game tribe for a long time until it's gone.
- Branmblewitch: The card is too good, we had enough scam in the game. It's duo tribe so it shows up too often. I will never forget those games where I was trying to have fun with the dragon trinket that pass the stats to another dragon during combat then it gets completely shut down by this card.
- Champion of Y'Shaarj: I just never vibed with the taunt build. One of those build you see others highroll with it but you rarely get the opportunity to play it.

2025.01.31 01:10 timelessbuddha Couch gaming: Stream Games or Long HDMI? (Long Post)
Essentially I’m trying to figure out the best way to play my PC games on from the couch while minimizing latency / input lag and looking to take any suggestions. Currently my PC is in a small room besides my “living room” area where my couch is. The distance itself theoretically isnt that far but allowing for the cable to go around the wall etc and I’m probably looking at about a 25-30ft HDMI to be safe, I read recently that a standard HDMI cable that length might cause me some problems and I’d need some special type of HDMI cord about $40-50 bucks.
my initial plan involved taking an old laptop (i5-7700, gtx 1050) leaving it plugged up to my TV almost like a console and using Steam Link to stream games from my Gaming PC however since both my Gaming PC and the Laptop are both currently only on WiFi the experience was less than optimal & there was an unsatisfying input lag imo on the TV, as well as intermittent stutters due to what I believe is the WiFi.
I’ve been meaning to get myself a MoCa adapter for myself here in the basement to be able to get some ethernet/hard wiring capability for my PC for a while anyways. All in all to get the desirable MoCa setup for myself here in the basement I’m gonna be looking at around $100ish but with that I’d be able to hookup both my gaming PC and Laptop via ethernet to the same switch to hopefully solve the latency/input delay issues that I think are being caused by WiFi.
I guess my question is would the experience be good now using Steam Link and or possibly Moonlight/Sunshine with the MoCa setup with my PC and Laptop or will it be smoother using an extended 25 ft HDMI? Not necessarily on a budget but I’d also rather not spend extra money on another HDMI cord that may not work ideally as I want to. Looking to peoples thoughts also on if having the MoCa setup in general will be a better QoL update by providing the ability to hardwire my PC by my desk? and if overall it’d be more beneficial than NOT getting it and buying the special HDMI cord solely to connect directly from my gaming PC to the TV?

 | Here’s the rig that lives in my truck. I have lighter rigs for hikes and hunts, but if the shit went down, this is what I’m going to first I run my hand warmer as a dangler from my K19. I know my mic isn’t the best, but it works. I run a remote antenna to my pack panel and under my water bag. In my utility pouch I run: gorilla tape, 10x power mono, spare batteries, head lamp and white chem sticks. In my admin pouch, I keep a small write in the rain, golf pencils(buy them on amazon), spare shears and a bug net. My support bag I’ve been running since 2009. It’s bombproof and works well as an emergency range bag if need be. It’s got everything from full IFAK to some spare water and sheers. Any questions, feel free.
