2025.01.31 01:31 JohnDoeMcAlias Balnced Diet perk ruined by cutscenes.
So idk if anyone else experiences this, cant seem to find anything about it online. Some cutscenes seem to increase your nourishment levels, as if henry has had a meal during the time elapsed or whatever.
Problem is, because I have the Balanced diet perk, I always try to stay between 85-100 nourishment. After certain cutscenes I end up on like 120+ nourishment, ruining my 5 day streak and losing all my stat bonuses. There seems to be ZERO pattern as to what cutscenes trigger nourishment increase.
Super annoying because it means going another 5 in game days eating perfectly to regain, only to trigger another cutscene and pray I dont lose my bonuses again. I love this game. But fuck that for a game mechanic. Reward players for engaging with a system efficiently and planning around it, then arbitrarily punish them because... idk, why not i guess. Dumb.
Rant over. Sorry just had to get that out of my system.

Hi, I have been using Na-R-ALA since 3 months, I take it on an empty stomach as indicated in the package for better absorption and I never had stomach problems, now since few days, all of a sudden, I'm having heavy heartburn, with cramps and nausea, I don't understand why without any reason i can't no longer digest it. Today I tried to take it after lunch on full stomach together with 1 gr of vit. C to improve the absorption decreased due to taking it on full stomach. But the pain remained, it calmed down only after taking sodium bicarbonate. I am also taking probiotics hoping that they can help . What kind of damage can lipoic acid cause on stomach / intestine linings? It also damages the flora? Is it able to cause ulcers or stomach bleeding? What can I do to be able to take ala without digestive problems and without any decrease on its bioavailability and its effectiveness? it help me with neuropathy and also with brain fog, so i don't want to stop taking it. ALA can also cause https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insulin_autoimmune_syndrome so i don't think that taking it on full stomach is the solution. I am very upset, once that something has a minimum of effectiveness, it causes you other health problems that prevent you from continuing to take it.

i am an illustration senior at Parsons, but have experience as a summer camp counselor for 3 years and also worked at an afterschool program. i currently work with the NYPL. i really adore working with kids, and am considering teaching as a career, however i know it is really difficult.
i applied to the Teaching Fellows recently and got an invite to do the phone interview. is there anything i should prepare? how was it for you? is the fellowship worth it in general?
i’m considering teaching not only because i love kids, but because i believe education is such an important field right now. yet, i am a tad nervous about the program, as i heard it is rigorous and difficult.

so I’ve been on my birth control for 3 months, about to be 4. I’m on an extended pill so I don’t get placebos every month, only every 3 month. I’ve noticed that every month for like a week I get really bad breast tenderness specifically in my left boob. Is this normal? I’m not sure if it occurs around the same time every month because I haven’t kept track but if it were cyclical, would that be normal? Because I know on the combo pill you don’t have a true cycle
