Chapter 4 was fun so many things some I didn't and did expect coming but that ending was amazing and i can't wait to see chapter 5, however it has a ton of glitches or at least in my play through, some include music playing for too long past a certain point and the tv screen dudes not chasing u properly, the Omni hand generator puzzle not working correctly, and Doey getting stuck in his boss fight, and more but some of these could have just been a problem on my end. Overall, the game was really good but it did feel underdeveloped maybe a couple more weeks to work out glitches would have done wonders but that is just me nitpicking a bit, this chapter was amazing, and I hope the next/final I think will be just as entertaining.

2025.01.31 04:14 Pasta-hobo The New World exposes the Kingdom of Science's biggest faults (a slight rant about some of Senku's questionable decisions in terms of leadership, delegation, and infrastructure.)
Reliance on artisanal labor for industrial-scale projects, lack of precise measurements, and the complete absence of automation.
To put it in Minecraft terminology, it's Yogscast vs Hermitcraft. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if the KoS has a 'hold space to slow down' moment once they actually start doing rocketry. But seriously, The New World has a whole mega base going with industrial farms for both necessities and luxuries, meanwhile the KoS has essentially been living out of Chrome's chest monster.
Xeno has a factory, Senku has a laboratory. Senku COULD'VE had a factory by this point if he bothered AT ALL with automation, but NoOoO! He'd rather make everyone braid wire and rope manually! He didn't even make a loom until someone asked him to. THE LOOM IS THE GATEWAY TO MODERN INDUSTRY! It was the foundation for things like early computers, the printing press, and agricultural processing. AND HE DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO MAKE AN ELECTRIC ONE!
Actually, speaking of electricity, why did he go with homopolar generator? And why on earth did he keep using it for so long?! Literally just take out the magnets and spin them around some coils. Is it the laquer allergy? Did he avoid making coils because he's allergic to the insulator? If so, he could've delagated it! I get putting off ICs, Hydrofluoric is scary, but fucking coils!
With the loom, the vacuum tubes, and the electric motors, he could've easily built a 3D printer by now, even just a punch card operated one.
It wouldn't surprise me if there's a user manual in that plane, but I can make a pretty good guess that the Stirling Speedboat doesn't.
Gee fuckin' whizz, man!
It's not like Senku doesn't stand a chance, but damn, he has to step up his game in terms of precision and automation. Seriously, the KoS has 1 gun between like 50 people, and it's a musket/revolver hybrid you have to pack manually.
TL:DR Senku has an eye for science, but he is completely blind to industry. I'm not sure if it's a cultural thing or a control thing or what, but he can't stand for anything other than manual crafting.

We are going to Monster Jam World Finals in Salt Lake City on July 4th 2025. This is a huge trip for our 5 year old and he has asked to go since we took him to monster jam last summer in a small arena. I noticed the pit party is included with the standard admission ticket. And it states the pit party starts at 11:30 AM. Show doesn't start until 6. I don't wanna wear him out before the show starts but I also want him to get to meet all the drivers and see all the trucks. Do we need to get there that early? Can we go around 3 and still meet most drivers/see the trucks? We did pit party at our show last summer but it was only 2 and a half hours I believe before the show started.

my best friend has been hanging out with the same people who made me want to end it for about 3 years after pretending to be my friend and then ruthlessly bullying me along with the rest of there crew to the point I had a knife to my throat every night wishing to end it, it might be reasonable if she didn't know all this but I have told her in great detail how I feel about the situation and what they did to me but she continues to spend time with them which always ends up with them picking on me some more and to be honest I have no idea what to do about it because our families know each other and have been planning for us to go to the gym together and start a band but if I were to cut ties with her there would inevitably be a shitload of drama between everyone. Since there is nobody to tell this to I'd honestly really appreciate any of your opinions

i’m a college senior (21f). my dad was diagnosed with an aggressive brain cancer in my sophomore year of college. i spent two years going with him to oncologist appointments until my first sem my senior year when he started declining fast, not being able to work or talk or walk or remember where he was. i spent the three weeks of my finals season and winter break period literally living in a hospital, talking to doctors with my mom and me, at 21, making end of life decisions for my father. he unfortunately died after about 10 days on hospice and i started my senior spring semester two weeks late.
as im getting back to college life and i see my peers laughing, carefree, around me and enjoying what should be one of the best times of our lives, i am honestly filled with anger. i hate that i spent two years terrified of sudden phone calls from my parents because that meant my dad had a new change and was going to the hospital. i hate that i was the one that had to talk to the neurosurgeons and top neuroncologists as a sophomore in college because my parents were afraid to. i hate that sometimes i felt so guilty because i wanted to spend weekends on campus so i could make friends and enjoy college life, but i had to go home to be my familys emotional support. i hate that i had to decide whether to put a feeding tube in for my dad, that i had to call in hospice because my mom was too afraid to, that i administered all his medicines in the end even though i had to wake up in the middle of the night and was terrified of making mistakes. i hate that i was the one that had to hold his hand and watch him take his last breath and cry his last tear because no one else was strong enough to. i signed the funeral papers, i watched them wheel his body out.
i love that i had the strength to do all this for him, i miss him deeply, but i am so fucking angry because my peers will never understand and i feel like i have this huge chip on my shoulder, im not fun anymore because of all this, i lost like 75% of my college experience to cancer, and i feel like i live in panic of another bad thing happening soon. i wish i was like them and the biggest concern in my life was what graduation dress to buy. i am so lonely and even the friends i had before he died, i feel like its awkward because after he died they dont know what to say. I am a shell of myself and i dont know what to do :(

2025.01.31 04:14 NaaviSuite 2005 Yamaha fjr 1300 Help
I bought the bike a month ago knowing it had a ticking noise and it had been in storage for 5 years or so and the past year started and idled but not driven. From the research I collected I was guided to the ticking coming from two possible causes the CCT or the excessive first gen valve guide wear.
I replaced the CCT easy enough but that was not the fix to the issue. So instead of tearing into the head myself I dropped it off at a “reputable” shop with over 145 five star google reviews and thought I was going to be in good hands. A couple weeks go by and he called and said that the valves were in spec, the camshafts were extremely worn down and he is 100% certain it’s not the valve guides. So without digging any deeper he told me to prepare for an engine swap because it was most likely piston slapping the inside of the cylinder.
I am looking for any advice if anyone has heard this sound before the sound is coming from the left side of the engine near the top end.

As the title suggests. In my age group and even in my extended circle, good friends are struggling with high cholesterol or blood pressure issues. One friend suffered an ACL and another is diabetic.
I am really just glad that I have been able to keep up with working out even after the horrible COVID.
I have been grateful. Always. Bloodwork’s all good. Crossed both my PRs this week, for barbell squats and Deadlift.
Squats: 1RM FULL ROM (below 90 degrees) 135 kg/297 lbs Dead lift : 1RM FULL ROM (4 seconds hold at top) 140 kg / 308 lbs
This has been quite the transformation from this time last year, I was pushing 80 kgs on squats and 90 on Deadlifts.
As I always quote “Rome wasn’t built in a day”, this is all the work I put all the years, starting from 22 years back. The next target : 150 kg for both. :)

There is a trash pickup program downtown but is there anyway the city could expand to have litter abatement throughout the city? Even once every month or two would be a big difference. I would love to have something like the Street Outreach Team paying homeless people to help clean up.
