I don’t think I fully understand hashimotos yet. But I’m reading about dairy being an issue. I can honestly only find dairy foods to work for my numbers, like cheeses and Greek yogurts. I haven’t checked my thyroid levels in a long time.

2025.01.31 01:41 _sumizome_ Compression fitting leaking at angle stop
When the plumbers plumbed my new house they left a separate angle stop with a 1/4” compression fitting under the kitchen sink — I assume for future installation of a water filter faucet.
Today I went to install said faucet along with a Body Glove BG12000 filter. The inlet side of the filter has a push-lock fitting for the supplied 1/4” tubing. At the stop, I put the nut and the ferrule (left behind by the plumber) over the tubing and wrenched it only moderately tight. I left the factory end on the tubing (ie, I didn’t cut it) and didn’t pay attention to how far the tubing projected past the ferrule.
As soon as I started flowing water through the filter, the fitting leaked badly at the angle stop. I could see that the weep was coming from the back of the nut where the tubing passes through it. Tightening the nut slowed the leak; tightening at much as I felt comfortable with stopped it — almost. I left a water sensor under the stop and about an hour later got a moisture alert.
I am not going to tighten the nut any further, so would appreciate any suggestions about what I did wrong / can do to fix things.

I was in a non at fault wreck with my beloved 05 Tacoma where it was basically side swiped by a semi trailer when a driver cut a turn too sharp, luckily I had dash cam showing I was stopped and he was cited and listed at fault on the accident report. The trucks still drivable but it looks like it’ll need at least a driver’s side fender, a hood, a bumper, and headlight, would it be advisable to get a quote prior to the adjuster coming out to look at it. Also another question would they consider it totaled with that type of damage and it being an 05 with 280,000 miles, it’s in excellent shape and Toyotas are known to hold value but in the eyes of a body man and insurance is it even worth it… it’s also black I’ve heard that’s the hardest to paint is this also true?

My husband is OBSESSED with Waffle House. It is his favorite place of all time. Directly quoting him, “It’s simple, it’s cheap, and they have the balls to cook in front of you. And if you’re lucky, you’ll get dinner and see a good fight.” We had a tradition where every Sunday we’d eat there. Well, we ended up moving from the south to California and were both feeling very homesick — him more than I. This sounds silly but it was kind of a safe haven for him. Our anniversary is coming up and I was thinking about how happy he’d be to at least be able to make waffles at home. I know I can get the waffle batter off the site but I’d love to get him the waffle iron with branding logo on it to go the extra mile. Any ideas on how I can acquire one. Legally obviously 😂.

Hey, I just moved to the area from another state.
I've lived in a few states and traveled a lot, I've never lived on the East coast. Only visited.
I'm 31. I'm an artist- I paint, sculpt... Really I'll do any kind of art I can get my hands on supply wise... I just like to make stuff.
Looking for metal, industrial, and noise shows, and events where I can pretty much hang out in a shadowy corner and be undisturbed unless it's a good convo.
Bonus points if I can kinda perch up high somewhere and just take everything in.
In general I like to be up where I can see lots of things and just relax.
I'm more of a night time person socially, so any recommendations for events that happen as the sun goes down are ideal.
What should I check out?
